How was the kayaking? My bro has a kayak and gets up at silly o'clock in the morning to get out on a river so he gets to see the sunrise from the boat. Sounds like a lovely idea, but really, getting up that early seems madness to me

Things here are okay - I feel like I turned a bit of a corner last week and even dh commented on how much happier I seem. I feel lighter somehow, not sure why. Maybe it's because I don't have baby bumps in my face the whole time! Have got my next appt with my shrink lady on Friday so am looking forward to being able to go in and not burst into tears this time
Oh, and I was very naughty and just did not have the willpower to resist that dress from Boden I mentioned, so I ordered it yesterday I did show it to dh first though, and he said go for it, so I did! Hope it fits....

Been lurking on and off but busy weekend chez bluetowers so no time to post.

monkey - so you feel you've turned a corner and can imagine that being spared baby bumps has helped... Onwards and upwards with a small 'o' and 'u'... Can't post links at work so will do them later.. Remind me again which dress you ordered? Did you get your Mini Boden catalouge? DS1 LOVES the green skull and cross bones winter hat - sob! My baby! He was in a cute fleecy jester one last winter. (Note to self - he is 4not 4 months!!). I have made good money off e-bay selling unused perfume/Coast dresses/Boden tops etc. The trick is to sell little and often as before you know it you have made £100! I need to to a purge this week (foxymagoo1971 is my seller's name if anyone wants to browse) as have Ben's baby things (bouncy chair/playmat etc.) that are still in shops so hope to get some mula.

mermaid - big brave forward moving lady . Hope the AD's bring you the clarity needed to sort stuff out. Havent' Kayaked but was a super skilled canoeist in my youth.

All good here. We booked our Summer 2010 hols on Sat. Off to 'Sa Coma' in Majorca on 30th June for 10 days. Its four star all inclusive so no daily Tesco trips for me - yay! DH's Mum and Dad are coming too so I may just get some relaxing time by the pool.. Think Ben will love it as he is so fearless. Im ordering the boden catalogue for when we get back, might have to go back to work though! Re eyebrow threading (giggling at your description) its a form of torture of hair removal using thread. If you get a length of cotton and roll it back and forth over a hairy leg it will entwine the hair and pull it out...pretty much the same for eyebrows! The therapist wraps the thread through her teeth to get the tension and uses her two hands to rub the thread back and forth, tis an art....

Evening all, going to attempt to try a proper but brief catch-up. Had family to stay for the weekend & my bil has got rid of the nasty artex in the nursery, now all we need are the cupboards that are being made & I can go into full-on nesting mode! Not been too well either... well really it's been since the bout of pneumonia I had in April. I've had 7 lots of anti-biotics in four months so last week I saw a private specialist who has put me on a four week course of steroids. Am watching this 4 sons vs 4 daughters show...v interesting! The family with the boys are exactly like my dh's family (they're 4 boys and 1 girl) timed obstacle courses in the garden etc brilliant.

cupcake watched it with interest too on +1 as dh also youngest of 4 boys! So many similarities we share my buddy! Btw yep, biscuit loves her crib so much she has been sleeping through, 10til5, wakes to relieve my dripping boobys, then dozes with me again til about 10am!

Well I went to Dundee yesterday, dropped dh off and was in a place with my 2 boys that I didn't know. I got lost twice . I did spend over an hour in ToyRUs and got Ajay another birthday present, so now he has a mega-blocks table with lots to do on it, alongside his dressing gown and slippers . We ended up in pizza hut for lunch, and I texted neeko to say how naughty I was being, and she said she'd been to nandos , we are so crap On a good note I told dh that I had only been up to the buffet twice, and he said 'Vjay if you'd been up once that would've been good, not twice'

Well today I think I'm going to get a bike seat for Ajay as dh's car still isn't ready and ds1 goes back to school next week, so may start cycling to school

The new doctor said she was outstanding in the development stakes and thinks she is just hungry Have been told to feed her solids 3x plus and give her some solid at the 10pm wake...he thinks because she is snacking so much on my boobies the fatty milk isnt being produced so that means me milk isn't even good enough for her now im a failure aren't i??? Im sitting here crying, there is only so many times i can convince myself that tonight will be a better night....but enough about me, ill be ok, and yes its just a phase and its normal to be ever so at 4ever and her sleeping baby

Oh Barbie (((((huge hug))))) Let's hope that this doctor is right, and by giving her more food it might satisfy her a bit, and help with the sleep. You are just amazing, standing strong and managing to keep going. I'm awful after one nights bad sleep, let alone what you're on. I would be in a heap on the floor by now!
Btw, you are so not a failure - you're wonderful, and from that lovely vid you posted you can just tell that Dolly is a very happy and healthy baby, and that's all down to you .
I know it must be so difficult right now, but please keep reminding yourself what a fantastic job you're doing, I'm sure dh must think so too!

Re coming to Dubai - one of dh's friends is a golf pro, and is being flown out to play in a competition there. I was like can we go too please? DH is going to start the training to be a pro, and said that when he is one then that might happen to him too and we can go with him, yay! Only downside is that it's a good few years away, and you might not even be there by then, let alone need help

barbie I don't think that is very true the fatty milk thing - she is mega active this is running in tandem with her sleeping habits. I have never heard of giving solids late at night either wonder if that is too heavy in her little tummy.

breasty milk is designed to be easily digested and that is what she and you are doing, little and often. She is active so yeah shove more solids in in the day time.

You are not a failure you just have a very active baby and it's hot and she will pick up on any stress and tiredness you feel. Hang in there, it seems like forever but it will pass and you will come out the other side.

Be easy on yourself, don't go rushing round too much. And you are as others have said a fab mumxx

mermaid i agree with the no solids at night, havent done it and wont do so as i too feel it will hurt her little tummy...i will keep offering food all day and will try the bottle again tonight

As for nando's its a chicken place....upmarket chicken and chips here Plymouth got one a few years back i remember everyone going bonkers over it, not me though...i was sick of it at the time due to living a few metres from one in london, it was so last season for me
