bluesatinsash · 24/08/2010 20:25

LBM- that photo is the cutest thing I've ever seen! How the hell did you co-ordinate the dressing gown with the head phones Grin

Go Jo-Jo- the coolest fest baby evah.

Really said I wouldn't go on PC tonight so won't linger but love to everyone and Angry at your Doc Memaid - to think they want GPs to run the NHS down in England - help ma boab!

Has SamCam named her DD2?

BlueMoon1981 · 24/08/2010 20:44

awww lbm sooo cute! love the one below too where she looks all sweet and innocent, am guessing the butter-wouldnt-melt look is all a facade Grin

mermaid you are so very sweet to say those lovely things about me, and i think you are pretty awesome too with everything you have been through (and having stupid doctors) and shhhh dont tell anyone but i can be bitter at times, of course not with you lot though. thanks also to everyone else being positive for me, if i cant be optimistic for myself i may as well let some one else do it :)

blue spotted! im no good at keeping away from the laptop, and when i tell myself im not going on, its like that big red button saying dont push, i cant do it!

waves to neeko vjay and 4ever, safe trip to barbie who is prob mid flight and hi to everyone else who i've missed, not doing very well at proper posting, but making attempts!

VJay · 24/08/2010 20:48

Hiya blue and moon and lbm, and loving the picture lbm, she looks so so cute Grin.
I've just managed to buy a car seat in Mothercare was £119 down to £9, for Ajay when he's 4!!! but worth buying now at that price. It was posted on mn, so I grabbed one then phoned my sis to tell her, but now they're out of stock Sad

OP posts:
BlueMoon1981 · 24/08/2010 20:52

wow vjay Shock what a bargain, even i would have bought one at that price, i love a good bargain, but means i end up buying stuff i dont always need Grin

VJay · 24/08/2010 20:54

I know moon I was well chuffed when I saw it, I just wish I'd seen it sooner so I could of told you all on here.

OP posts:
cupcakefairy · 24/08/2010 21:42

Hi ladies :)

post between Big Brother watchings! Loving it Grin

lbm, curly and barbie- GORGEOUS PICS! lbm jojo is ridiculously cute in her ear defenders!!

curly I actually would come to London on 16th (or whenever) but I'm wondering if it's actually better to come to a (potential)Christmas one if more people are going to make it to that one... but then babycake (ha, haven't called my lo that for ages, seems weird now we know he's a boy!) will be on solids by then so might be more difficult to make the trip by myself Confused decisions decisions...

Lovely moon you are there for us all in so many ways! You were so reassuring to me when I was pg and panicking about being a mum/having nowhere to live...so don't think you don't repay the favour.

4ever love the links. Those invites look gorgeous I'm tempted to get some myself!
Hope the jabs were ok today.

mermaid pass the cocktails! Hope you're using sunblock Grin I am also very Angry at your doc...how irresponsible!!

barbie safe trip my lovely. I hope your Mum scares Dolly into sleeping better Grin

Vjay so glad you're feeling good :)

Well today ladies I have made not one but two carrot cakes. J was meant to be asleep all the way through but woke so I even had to feed him while doing it or all the air would have gone out of my whisked eggs.. true multitasking!! Grin (achy arm though!) and don't worry I pulled the blinds first so I didn't flash my boob to the neighbours Wink

Dieting ladies, this is the carrot cake. Oil instead of butter, wholemeal flour...and CARROT, a vegetable. Surely this cake is allowed Grin (It's really REALLY yummy too)

We are off camping tomorrow evening til Sunday but will try to drop in and say bye bye :)

cupcakefairy · 25/08/2010 08:15

Louey i realised during the 1am feed that I hadn't replied to you! i know, it's ridiculous to be reading lotr while feeding but i read the first 2 before babycake was born & couldn't leave the series unfinished. but i look like this most of the time im reading it Confused
my new medela swing has just been delivered; im so excited! dh & i are going to get a babysitter for the first time next wk..to go to our book group! haha, what geeks!

MummyLovesSadie · 25/08/2010 09:36

Will post properly later but just wanted to say Cupcake that cake looks delicious & I'm going to make it this weekend. Do you think it will work in a loaf-tin rather than a round tin? What did you think of BB last night? The line-up is ace for the Ultimate BB but I think a lot of them are going to be difficult to watch & as for John McCruick - I have to look away from the screen whenever his revolting mug is on it!! Grin

loueytbg · 25/08/2010 13:33

Hello, I'm going to attempt a quick catch-up while eating my lunch

cupcake camping - in this weather Shock Brave lady. I'm in awe of anyone who can do something else while BF'ing, whether it be reading or whisking eggs (and that deserves a Shock) I only managed to watch tv. I did watch the first couple of series of The Wire while DTs were little but then realised that as soon as they became aware of the TV that perhaps it wasn't the best thing for me to watch. (For those of you who haven't seen it, it contains lots and LOTS of swearing and a fair degree of violence too).

mls caught a bit of BB last night. John McCririck is just vile isn't he. You said Josie would win too!

barbie really hope the flight was ok and Dolly slept through it all. BTW - you were supposed to bring sunshine and not rain. What happened Wink

vjay what a bargain!! Am Envy as we will need to buy booster seats for DTs soonish. Am glad the cycling is going well and that its making you feel more upbeat. Exercise does that to me as well. It must be making you feel good if you are cycling in the rain Grin

lbm what fab pics of baby J. Love the ear defenders. Hope the webbed feet have returned to normal now. I am firmly of the view that if you don't try these things then you will never know if they are going to be a nightmare or not. (Hence my slightly mad attempts at taking DTs on long-haul flights etc). Well done you for sticking to your guns and persuading DH to go.

mermaid I can't believe they got the dosage wrong. That's dreadful Angry. I guess at least you know why you felt so awful when you were on them. Am Grin at baby Cameron being born at Treliske as it was where DH was born. Also loving the cornish name threads. Better not tell DH otherwise he might decide that's a good idea for DC3 (assuming we have another one). I can quite see him deciding that ventongimps is a good name Confused. I'm sure he went to school with a Demelza. Actually, that makes me think - maybe we should come up with a cornish name for mls Grin

neeko the back to work plan sounds very good to me (apart from the fact that you have to go back at all of course). How did H ssleep in the cot?

blue the photo of Isaac in his pre-school uniform is just lovely He is the spit of you. Yay for being paid too - have you spent it all yet Wink

moon In the relatively short time I've been on these threads, you've given lots of support on here so its only fair that we support you back. Totally agreee with what barbie said - it will happen. We are all rooting for you.

monkey hope you are having lots of fun with your dad.

curly LOVE the photos of curlygirl - soo cute. Am acutely aware that I have not yet replied to your email and will try and do this afternoon.

4ever well done for mastering the paragraph button Grin How did the jabs go??

sabs love the photos of Saara too - she looks so cuddly Smile How is the lack of Ramadan sleep going?

Well the good news is that my dizziness has almost cleared up. Randomly, I started taking Robitussin for CM reasons on Monday and it started getting better so I don't know if the decongestant thing in it helped?? Might be worth a try vjay if you are still suffering. I feel a bit sinusy so maybe it did. Anyway, whatever I am very relieved. Ran into work yesterday and today but have just undone my good work by succombing to a pret baguette (hideous number of calories...)

Ovulation-watch - had a borderline +OPK yesterday which I've marked as +ve. Have successfully jumped seduced DH so I think we are in with a chance this cycle. Keep your fingers crossed.

I've learnt something else this week, which is in 2005 I had my appendix out and it was basically normal. I am having almost the same pains now - obviously it's not my appendix as its gone but I think its severe ovulation pain. I wasn't aware of it back then but its become more noticeable since I had the DTs. At the moment it is in exactly the same place as my appendix should be. They were going to scan me before the op and then decided not to and I bet if they had, they would have decided it was just my ovaries playing up Confused. Oh well!!

Right, off to do some work Wink

4everhopeful · 25/08/2010 14:09

Hello Mls ! Agree about John mc - ugh! Loved the bb fest last night tho! Grin Cant believe you are so close to meeting your lo, you must be literally bursting! How exciting!

Cupcake hope you have a fabulous time in your caravan on Judes first hol! Cake looks yum! Also Grin at you and Dh off to book club! Thanks so much about enlightening me re paragraph icon! Punctuated posts here we come! Grin

Lbm bless Jo jo she is the cutest thing in her ear defenders! Just adorable! Grin

Vjay im Envy at your bike riding! I have a lovely bike gathering dust in the shed! Hope Ds 1 coping with the new term ok?

Mermaid i am so Angry and Shock at your dr the bloody moron! No wonder you felt so terrible.. Hope the counselling is still helping, along with the rose of course! I finally replied to your e mail btw! Blush

Neeko hope Dd1 also enjoying being back? Doesnt seem long ago since her 1st day when you were weebling! Hows H doing after her long weekend sleep?

Curly hopefully getting on pc later to pay for invites, looking forward to seeing your mail and latest pics of curlygirl!

Louey the ear thing sounds bad you poor soul, hope the meds do the trick asap..

Moon so wanna echo the others, it is gonna happen and im so glad you are sticking it out and offload whenever you need to.. It took 3yrs and my 4mc to get to where i am, alot of heartache in between but never give up your dream and when it happens you will cherish its preciousness more than anyone will ever understand.. You are braver and more inspirational than i think you know.. Also we are well due another bfp! Grin

Blue another mummy doing the back to school thing! Yep, my legs are the skinniest bits left now so i live in leggings to detract from the mum tum! Grin

Wheres Monkey? Hmm

Barbie welcome back to blighty! Bet your brrr and poor Dolly must be wondering what the grey sky and clouds are all about after being used to azure unbroken blue!

4everhopeful · 25/08/2010 14:35

X post Louey glad to hear you are feeling better already and Grin Biscuit to the +ive opk and seduction! Shaking pompoms and babydust at you! Grin

Summer was fine after jabs yesterday my big brave girl! Dh insisted on nipping out of work so he held her and then i did the comforting afterwards Grin she settled really quick and was her usual smiley chatty self in the evening! We did have the hugest ever poo when i got to the baby clinic this morning tho and i reckon it was def jab related.. Hmm She is now 13lb 4oz and down from 75th to 50th %tile which they reckon is ok.. She is 13wks tomorrow Shock i may soon up her to 7oz, she is still having booby snacks between feeds and she sleeps through 10 til 5 when dh gets up, quick 10min bf then back to sleep in bed with me til about 9am, then 1st bottle. Was wondering if too long between feeds but if she wanted it she would wake wouldnt she? She is coming up 4hrs since last bottle as was 10.30 this morning Grin we came back to bed after clinic and shes been asleep again since midday! She def takes after her mum and dad! Grin Also she is really teething, everything is going in her mouth which is v cute, but i can feel then on my now quite sore boobys, my bro cut his 1st at 3m! Shock

Glad you all like the dresses! Just went for classic with S as the silk looks more comfy than all this net/lace mini wedding dress style for £90 that she will only wear a few hours! Hmm The whole thing has escalated and is costing a small fortune! Will be fantastic tho but dont want it detracting from its true meaning and reason as we prayed so long and hard and couldnt have got through these last few years without alot of faith!

littlebellsmum · 25/08/2010 15:07

hi 4ever just typing one handed - baby j has fallen asleep on me and i don't want to move her!
s's christening is so special for all that praying you had to do - sure there is the faith bit but its also a fantastic celebration of her existance and all the faith you both have had - i'm sure him upstairs would support that!

I've just being arranging jo's settling in appts at nursery. arghh - how did that come round so quick? now we need to start transfering her to formula ready for nursery and me going back to work in oct, i'm very loath to start as i love feeding her myself...

monkeybumsmum · 25/08/2010 15:51

Oh gosh, I so don't have enough time for what I want to write, but shall try my best Smile

4ever I'm here Been frantically running around/doing errands/tidying/uploading new FB pics Hmm/playing with ds and just have hardly managed to get on here! Where does time disappear to?
So lovely that you're planning S's christening, it all sounds lovely! She sounds like an absolute angel too, you are v lucky Smile We had a similar thing with ds, who was sleeping through from about 10 til 6 from around 9 weeks. We were so incredibly lucky thank goodness. I'm sure she would wake in the night if she wanted feeding, it sounds like she's a v contented little girl Smile
Just had a peek at your dresses, they are lovely! You will have to post some pics of you all on the big day - you will look beautiful, as will S Smile

Louey So glad to hear your dizziness is better, that's great Smile How long do you take the Robitussin for, and does it really help with CM? Also, re dizziness, did your doctor suggest drinking extra water, and also increased salt uptake? I get really dizzy too, not as severe as yours seems to be, but I get weak and faint, and have to eat constantly, but it only seems to happen in the 2ww for some reason. Am pretty sure it's cycle related. Our bodies are weird aren't they!
Well done on seducing dh Grin Let's hope it was productive!

Cupcakesupermum Those carrot cakes sound yummy, I shall have to try that recipe out too! Have a lovely time camping won't you, hope J is a good boy!

VJay That's an amazing steal at that price Shock Brilliant!

Barbie Hope the flight went well, and that you get safely to the UK - have a lovely time! Also, thanks for being just so lovely in your lovely post to me just after AF started. I'v had so much support from you all, and really don't know where I'd be without it. It really does help that you all believe it'll happen, and Blue you brought tears to my eyes when you said you could see me having a dd. I really do feel like a member of our family is missing, and you all give me hope that one day we will be able to complete it.

LBM What an absolute darling! She looks so sweet in those pics, and I LOVE the pink ensemble! The pics are only small, but I thought she looked like you lots Smile Lovely x

Blue So glad that Isaac's first day went well, bless him in his uniform. He really does look like you doesn't he! Did he enjoy his first day? How often is he going each week?
My ds is starting back at school next Wednesday, but it's a new school so we shall see how he likes it. They don't have uniforms over here, I wish they did as they look so cute in them at this age! I'm starting back on the 6th, and am dreading it Sad Am stressing as I think they're going to try to change my timetable which will impact on how much I see dh and ds, and of course the imminent news of my colleagues baby's arrival at the end of Sept. Can almost guarantee that he or she will be born on my due date (28th), and also that I'll find out at work, so will have no time to compose myself. I feel sick about it.

Mermaid So Angry at your dr for giving you double the dose, that's the last thing you need. Are you going back to see him at all? That's lovely that you're writing me an email , you'll have beaten me to it this time!

Neeko Glad work is sorted, although I can imagine you probably don't want to go back. Great re getting paid extra!

Curly Lovely to see you posting so much, you always put a smile on my face. Sorry to hear you're a bit up and down, but you sound v upbeat from your post, and quite obviously smitten with your gorgeous girl Smile Thanks for the hand holding, I need it xxx ps Yes, dh and I are watching X factor, what did you think? It all seems a wee bit false, I preferred it when the auditionees hadn't been preauditioned iykwim! Also, did you hear that apparently ITV has been tweeking some of their voices Shock What an odd thing to do!

Moon I really hope you're okay... You will get there, I'm sure of it. I'm a bit like you though, can totally believe it'll happen for other people, but not for me. I loved Barbie's good talking to that she gave you, she's very good at those Smile I'm feeling a tiny tiny bit of positivity atm, which was boosted by my mil telling me y'day that if a booky had to give odds on whether we'd have another child, it would more likely be odds in favour, than against. Same would go for you I'm sure. I just wish that someone, somewhere was able to tell us that yes, it will happen, and then we could relax a little, couldn't we. I really hope that some of us smallpanters can find new seats on the medium bench very soon.

MLS How are you doing? I hope you're enjoying getting everything ready for your LO. Are you still convinced it's a girl? Any names yet? DH and I couldn't agree between two for ds. I made my choice clear, and then went into labour... The only decent thing dh could have done was to go with my choice after all the pushing Grin You have to give the name immediately here, literally while I was still being stitched up, which was weird. Not sure why, but it certainly puts the pressure on!

Am sure I've missed people (sorry!) but have done this in speed type mode as ds is desperate to play with me Smile Really hope everyone's okay, and will be back soon xxx

ps thanks again to all of you that made me feel better when AF arrived. I can't tell you how much it helps xxx

monkeybumsmum · 25/08/2010 15:55

LBM X post! Wow, it only seems like y'day that Jojo arrived! Is she going to the same nursery the other dc's went to? How much milk will she need during the day there? I spent literally a month expresing and freezing milk before ds started at nursery, only to be told that they wouldn't give it to him Shock We were staying at FIL's at the time, and I think his freezer still has loads of my breastmilk in it Grin Nice!

VJay · 25/08/2010 18:15

Haven't caught up properley, but Mothercare have cancelled my order Angry, they say it was a pricing error and have the right to cancel. Oh well it was obviously too good to be true!

OP posts:
MummyLovesSadie · 25/08/2010 18:28

Vjay I was going to post & say do you think they had got the price wrong Angry. I remember when that happened on Amazon, I can't remember what it was for, an iPod or something, but they got swamped with orders as the news had got around fb & they had to cancel them all - including mine!

Will definitely be back for a proper post later.
