Caribou you are very gracious. I have snuck back in today to see if 1. I am forgiven for making a mistake on such an incredibly sensitive subject (looks like you are all very forgiving and lovely ) and to vow to be more careful and ....

to check up on Viv

I now have enormous goose bumps all over my arms and neck, so, so happy for you Viv this is wonderful news!

(It's also cheered me up to discover that someone in their early thirties takes average 9 months to conceive, so conceiving after five months was good going for me, even though it wasn't to be - and here's hoping for another quick one!)

Here's wishing you a sticky bean and 8 easy, enjoyable months!

Acupuncture has definately calmed me down - I'm having a really good day today :) (so far - don't want to jinxx it!)

VivClicquot · 25/08/2010 14:30

hairy - I had acupuncture on the day I ov'd this time around. Interestingly, I'd been having ov pains all day and as soon as I had the acupuncture, it stopped.

Jus' sayin' Wink

pv - I heart you and your pot of pee. Keeping everything crossed for you, love.

PrettyVacant1 · 25/08/2010 15:04

Fanks Viv I heart you too, much more than JellyTots.
Have you calmed down yet? Grin

Oooo Mama you clever Laydee I can just about rustle up cornflake cakes and even that goes wrong half the time.Grin
Good luck and I'll be keeping my FX that your bod toes the line for your planned weekend SWI.
You could bribe it with cake!

I'm driving myself loopy, way beyond any pisces precept.

Lovely to read some good news. Congrats Viv - may it all be plain sailing.

Looks like af is starting... and for once I'm happy for it to appear - some normality returns.

I'm also a fan of acupuncture. My dd was the result of IVF and the mc was after natural conception so acu seems to have had a positive effect on me...just saddening it didn't last.

Goodluckbear · 25/08/2010 15:05

Viv - congratulations!!! So pleased for you xxxxxxxx

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 25/08/2010 15:14

Viv still Grin for you x

Muser · 25/08/2010 15:25

Viv! That's wonderful news . I am so happy for you.

Clearly Go Ape is the key. I went to Go Ape shortly before getting my BFP. You were trying to book it. Definitely a tenuous link.

VivClicquot · 25/08/2010 15:39

Hahaha I'm now already in turmoil over what to do. We go to the one in the Lake District in two weeks' time - the FAQ on the Go Ape website says pregnant women are not advised to take part but it's ultimately up to them if they choose to do so. However, as it's a team away day that I REALLY pushed for, everyone will suss something's up if I don't join in. And given my history and the fact that September is appraisal month and I dont want anything else to jeopardise the already flakylooking promotion case I'd rather nobody knew for a while yet.

randomimposter · 25/08/2010 15:45

can you not "slip over" the day/2 days before and "sprain" your wrist/ankle? Go along and ra ra ra from the sidelines... with a pouty face and lots of "am so cheesed orf I can't join in?" x

VivClicquot · 25/08/2010 15:56

It's either that, or hope that morning sickness kicks in and I can claim I've got food poisoning

Muser · 25/08/2010 16:20

I would probably go. I'm going to have to check when I went now to figure out if I knew or not. I don't think I did.

I don't think it would do any harm. There are the zip lines, but you just land on your bum on those if you can't stay upright (this would be me).

I know we're all really nervous about something happening, but I don't think Go Ape would make something happen.

batteryhen · 25/08/2010 16:28

I am off for a spa day on Tuesday - and have just had to change my treatment :) Also I won't be able to go in the saunas etc but frankly I don't care :) Will have to think of a good excuse to tell my friend though!

hairytriangle · 25/08/2010 16:36

Viv I am booked in for about a week before ovulation is due, but once AF arrives (Friday/Saturday/sunday) I'm going to ring back to make an additional appointment !

(Hairy sits on vivs chair in the hope that she catches good luck from Viv)

hairytriangle · 25/08/2010 16:40

Noting a lot of accupuncture success.

My sis had it and it helped her too :)

I'm going to have it for PMT (seems to have worked well yesterday - I'm having a highly productive day notwithstanding a couple of daliances on here, fir pre ovulationand for post ovulation :)

Plus the lady I go to is great to have a blub too - she's lovely and really gets it.

hairytriangle · 25/08/2010 16:40

meh. why isn't strikethrough working for me?

testing testing one two three testing

VivClicquot · 25/08/2010 17:01

Thanks Muser - I have to admit to being v tempted to just do it anyway, but was worried people would think I was being reckless. :)

I would very much love to join you, if of course you wouldnt mind...

I would provide some stats... but i am not certain what they stand for... Blush so any help would be gratefully received!

StickThemWithThePointyEnd · 25/08/2010 19:33

yay, congratulations, viv

Fx for MrsPV and everyone else of course. ~gets the haddock ready~

nickstermum sorry to see you here, but welcome to the madness. This is a good place to be!

barrenbrook · 25/08/2010 19:37

prettymrsg did you dunk your stick in your pot of morning wee yet??????

tigger15 · 25/08/2010 19:54

Congratulations Viv! I hope it sticks.

I also gave away a fair chunk of maternity clothes this month, including ones bought and never worn, so maybe it'll have an effect.

Hopefully · 25/08/2010 19:54

Yay Viv how bloody exciting! Sending boring, healthy, sticky vibes your way. I would go for limping into work 2 days beforehand with a bandage on your ankle and a pissed off expression if you don't want to go, but I can't imagine there's any reason you wouldn't be able to do it - it's no more high impact than lots of sports that people keep doing in early pregnancy, and everything's well protected below your pelvic bone, isn't it?

Welcome nickstermum sorry you find yourself here, but it's the best place to be in the circumstances. On the list, CD is cycle day (i.e. taking the first day of your period as CD1), cycle is how many cycles you've been trying for, ummm, what else is there? I've probably missed something.

Have bloaty windiness of doom. I may float away soon.

MamaPower · 25/08/2010 19:57

No pressure at all pretty we're not all checking in every five min's or anything ridiculous you just take your time :)

hi nickster sorry you are here but you're in good company!

Right, back to my rocket making...I am so gonna keep my mouth shut next time!!

MamaPower · 25/08/2010 19:59

ah stupid line thing didn't work...you know what I meant!! Grrrr! Used to lap tops and just got a mac, not quite used to it yet!
