My 14 year old dd is bizarrely delighted by her 10 (count them) 10 pairs of socks! She got a pair of slipper socks from the Pyjama Fairy, a pair of cahsmere bedsocks from Father Christmas, 4 pairs of Pringle socks from her Great Aunt, and 2 separate packs of 2 pairs of multi coloured wellie socks from different relations. We are seeing more people today, and she is hoping for still more socks! She gave all her school frienda fluffy socks full of biscuits - it's obviously the in thing this year!

Ds is only 2 so we didn't get him too much but I think the wooden barn with extra animals was a hit - he's playing with it most of the time (well, the animals anyway).
However, the thing he keeps asking to play with is the packet of bubble mixes that I got as a small extra to go in his bubble gun - that boy loves his bubbles!

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 26/12/2009 13:39

DS1 (7) - Lego Star Wars MTT Trade Federation ship. We shall be building it for days to come I think.

DS2 (5) Lego Star Wars AT-TE walker. DH is helping him build it.

We are drowning in a sea of lego but they love it and so do we

hello MrsB!

a fire steel is one of those things where you strike it and it makes sparks
to light a fire outdoors
like this

DuchestnutsOfAvon · 26/12/2009 17:35

A Radio Flyer. The baby keeps climbing into it and sits in lonely splendour in the hallway, waiting for someone to pull her around.

And DD1 has fallen in love with a pair of Disney Princess spangly drssing up shoes. Sigh. At least they are blue, not pink.

Ronaldinhio · 26/12/2009 17:36

DS1 loves his £1,000,000 note, and has pledged to buy us a bigger house. DD has played non-stop with her vacuum cleaner. (I can see this coming in handy!)DS2's favourite is a fire engine.

Go Go hamsters and my DD's have made their own house out of a box from another present due to not having the proper house!

Works a treat and the hamsters find their way out of the make shift doors.

Worth every bit of the nightmare of getting hold of them.

sunburntats · 26/12/2009 18:03

DD adores her rats. She won't leave them alone and has sat in a little chair by the cage since she got them and talks to them constantly.

She's feeding them bits of bread and hula hoops as we speak.

DD says Twister is her favourite - didn't ask if it was playing it herself or watching mummy and daddy tie themselves in knots that is the best bit.

DK1 (darling kitten) - the box DD's Littlest Pet Shop Tail Waggin' Gym (barf) came in.

DK2 - the arrival of something that looked exactly like DH, only bigger (BiL).
