Sorry folks

Some idiot company decided to give me a full time job earlier than expected, and I have a MASSIVE document to finish; they are paying me a load of money (well more than I have ever earned before) so I feel duty bound as the eager newbie to get it done in my free time...

I have no internet access during the day apart from BBC, tfl and a couple of others.

I have also been ill, not with a hangover from the Christmas Party, but with earache, and have had v little sleep, so had to have the day off work yesterday (so much for the eager newbie)

Anyhoo - this means that the matching will be delayed by a couple of days. Sorry

If you have a particular need to be matched early, drop me a mail ([email protected]) and I will shove you to the top of the list.

Bugger, didn;t mean to post that so soon, was supposed to add that I would post something before christmas and then maybe something else afterwards.
DOn't forget that a lot of the recipients have no clue they have been nominated....

that sounds like a good idea Buda. Can I ask who you order them through? Also, if you order from places like Amazon and do the gift delivery do they send the invoice (with personal information on) to your home address? Pretty new to all this ordering online

Hi mumoverseas! I think the first year I did it I ordered vouchers from a company that was recommended on here. Last year I think I did Argos vouchers and I think I ordered them online and had them sent to the person by post.

No invoice by post.

Thanks Buda. I'd hoped to go out and do proper shopping myself as really enjoyed it last year (as did my kids who chose the presents) but looks like this year it will need to be vouchers

I would like to do that too but from here it is not really practical.

We do it here for an orphanage. The British Womeen's Assoc here does a Xmas Hearts thing where they get a list from a couple of orphanages of what the children would like and you take a Heart, buy and wrap the present and the gifts are given to the children at Xmas. Most times it is the only gift the children get. I usually take 2 and make sure at least one is a boy near DS's age and he comes with me to buy the gift.

Came looking for this as thought I had missed the email. Seems not. Bit close to last post isn't it?

I know it's a mammoth task but i only have the money for postage this week. It will get swallowed up by charges etc after that :/

Shine, I'm painting a whole canvas, i need to buy paints and the canvas, i need to know what colours to buy depending on who Im doing it for and its takes a long time to get it right,

my canvas usually take a week, especially as ive got 3 kids under 5, plus ive got DS birthday on Dec 13th, DDs birthday Xmas eve as well as their joint party on the 19th, and christmas.

Im not trying to pile the pressure on

I really do want to do this, but was hoping I would ahve been finished by now!

Im not blaming Norma, Im simply posting on here to ask if theres any news, as theres not 'plenty of time' for me at the minute, Im not just posting something Ive bough.

I hope Norma is OK xx

OK OK OK - I am still alive.

Old mate turned up and dropped a complete and utter Stunning Revelation about why we haven't talked in Far Too LOng - I can't say on here, but her DP needs Sorting. I ended up being shoulder to cry on, when the plan was that she was going to help me.
