****NormaStanleyFletcher would like to say sorry as the Christmas Appeal Matching is slightly delayed****

Sorry folks

Some idiot company decided to give me a full time job earlier than expected, and I have a MASSIVE document to finish; they are paying me a load of money (well more than I have ever earned before) so I feel duty bound as the eager newbie to get it done in my free time...

I have no internet access during the day apart from BBC, tfl and a couple of others.

I have also been ill, not with a hangover from the Christmas Party, but with earache, and have had v little sleep, so had to have the day off work yesterday (so much for the eager newbie)

Anyhoo - this means that the matching will be delayed by a couple of days. Sorry

If you have a particular need to be matched early, drop me a mail ([email protected]) and I will shove you to the top of the list.

Thanks for listening.

Please bump this

Ta

More matches gone out. Please check your junk mail.

Good news is that I have found a way of speeding this whole thing up.

All matches will be completed tomorrow, but can't say what time (by tomorrow I mean Saturday)

I am going to bed now, having defeated the computer gremlins

Hi Fletch.

I got a match, but, it was only for one of the many items I had offered in a later email(know you got that too).

Are you sending more matches today for them or where you unable to find people for that stuff?

Thanks a lot for the email BTW.

magicofchristmas · 19/12/2009 09:33

Oh just realised One email you sent has one ref no. the latest has another so I hope that means I will get the rest away

One very happy bunny here then.

FlyMeToDunoon · 19/12/2009 09:50

Scorps · 19/12/2009 10:21

Where do we thank people?

Today whilst in bed feeling very glum, the postman bought me a box, full with things for my boys and a tesco voucher. It must have cost you alot of money it has made me think there are nice people in the world when I am going through the roughest period of my life ATM. Thankyou so much xx

magicofchristmas · 19/12/2009 11:02

Quick question anyone.

I don't know the name of the person the parcel is going to.

What do I put on the envelope as far as who it's going to.

TIA

jofeb04 · 19/12/2009 11:10

If you have not got a name, Mn'er of the house has been used in the past.

magicofchristmas · 19/12/2009 11:17

Great thanks a lot.

09201 · 19/12/2009 12:32

AndiRobo, I think mine was from you

Which means, you may know who I am! double

Thank you so much if it is!!

IsItMeOrSanta · 19/12/2009 12:43

Please can I check on the etiquette for senders?

Do I leave it anonymous, so nothing to identify me either in RL or MN?

If I wrap it, is it okay to put a note in for the mum to tell her what's in the dc's pressies?

Is there anything else I need to know?

Hulababy · 19/12/2009 12:51

I haven't wrapped anything, but included wrapping paper, ribbon and sellotape in the parcel.

I didn't put in a card or letter with my name on.

I did write the ref number on the top of the parcel.

However, I now realise that DH's name and work address are shown on the box - underneath all my labels - I forgot to remove them. So may have revealed myself by accident.

Hulababy · 19/12/2009 12:54

Oh - and I had no name and was advised in the match email to address it as The Mumsnetter of the House, followed by the address.

The postcode I had was slightly incorrect, according to the royal mail postcode finder, so I put the new postcode and hope fr the best. I used the postcode that matched the address details given.

norksinmychristmasstocking · 19/12/2009 13:25

fletch I am so sorry to do this to you, but I was unable to donate this year after all, and you have given me a match
sorry will e-mail you
