i actully wobbled a few times about buying it because none of us are games console nerds but it is brilliant!!

my sister and i (who i have a bit of a tough relationship with at times) had a great laugh last night mole stomping on the family trainer and dh and my brother are having a male bonding session playing golf together.

we even had a bowling tournement this morning and i won £4

shame the dc cant get near it though

LOL.

Am waiting for my DS to train me on it tomorrow.

deckthegirlandboywithholly · 26/12/2008 17:38

My right arm is aching today from the baseball! Apparently I can bowl at 150kmph!!! [proud emoticon]

IllegallyBrunette · 26/12/2008 17:40

Mine already had a wii, but had wii fit from their uncles and grandad.

How I didn't wet myself at the sight of dd2 with her bum stuck out trying to do the ski jumping game I will never know.

KbearingGiftsWeTraverseAfar · 26/12/2008 18:07

I know, I used to have a family but now I am alone, free to MN, free to go out and no one wants to come with me, free to lay on the bed and read a book, free to lay in bed in the morning - Hallelujah to the Wii!

tiredemma · 26/12/2008 18:09

We got one earlier in the year, got DS2 the High School musical 3 dance thing for xmas. Its brill!!!!

Jambuttie · 26/12/2008 18:16

Fivesetsofschoolfees · 26/12/2008 18:20

We splurged on a Wii, with balance board. It is great. I asked my DCs why they didn't let me in on how good it was before now.

We have played almost non-stop since yesterday morning.

(although not happy about my Wii Fit age).

kerryk · 26/12/2008 18:33

we never managed to get the wii fit.

going to get it in january.

the family trainer is great though

We got the Wii fit to go with ours this year - have had a go today, flippin eck, I was outta puff! Very good though, did three rounds of step aerobics and went for a jog!

VanillaPumpkin · 26/12/2008 19:05

I agree too. We have had so much fun. Even dd2 age 3.5 has had a good go at the tennis and bowling . We had Sonic & Mario at the Olympics with it and have been giggling at the dd's actually jogging on the spot while their characters run on the screen. Fantastic family fun for all of us here from 3.5 to 70 years old .

Heated · 26/12/2008 19:11

Lol @ dh, who does an hour of exercise a day, he is NOT happy with his Wii fitness age, whilst mine is the same as my actual age.

It's dh's present to himself and ds but I have to admit I'm not that enamoured yet; maybe I just haven't found my game?

BlackLetterDay · 26/12/2008 19:11

Am I the only one who isn't that impressed?

kerryk · 26/12/2008 19:29

asterix at the olympics is really good.

it took us ages to work out why we could never win the sprint till we rea;ised you need to hit the person next to you to put them off

No, sob. My Wii sports doesn't work. The other games work fine but not that one. Am worried now as you don't seem to be able to buy it by itself. I can't find a reciept for my Wii so think I'm buggered. But I got it online so am hoping GameStation have some sort of customer record of me. DD is gutted that we couldn't play golf Xmas morning.

Mario Kart is fun though.

ByTheSea · 26/12/2008 21:37

Kids have been playing with it two days straight now!

AbbaFan · 26/12/2008 21:53

We've had ours 2 years now - and still not bored of it.

I just never seem to have the time to play it!

Sidge · 26/12/2008 22:29

We don't have one but have been at friends today who have one - it was so much fun!

We had a bowling tournament played tennis (I was shite) and played Sonic and Mario Olympics - that was HARD!

roisin · 26/12/2008 22:41

We got ours in Sep.

We got Family Trainer for Christmas too, which is fab. ds1 had me playing Prince Caspian today, which I didn't understand at all

TheOtherMaryPoppinsJingles · 26/12/2008 22:46

We've been on Guinness World Records for two days solid almost, I am the world record holder in Space hopper racing, eating planes and shearing sheep

MerlinsBeard · 27/12/2008 12:21

lol, i have a world record in tallest building somethng or other and an national record in sheep shearing...its very silly!

madamy · 27/12/2008 12:33

So what game would you recommend for dh and I? We've got wii play and a disney princess one for dd1 (5.7). Neither of us are particularly games mad, but we'd like to be able to play on it in the evenings!

mammy2G · 27/12/2008 14:00

Mario Kart rocks - well not being a driver maybe I like it better? My ds (2.9) sits in front of me and "steers" too...Get 2 wheels though - beat your dp/dh and you can race others online too....be prepared not to sleep though

IAmTheNewQueenOfMN · 27/12/2008 14:08

MARIOKART
absolutely rocks
I am a driver and I love it
definitely get two wheels

dd2 (3)even has a go on her own and can get round a track but usually 'helps' dh or I

fatzak · 27/12/2008 14:12

We got one for Christmas but there seems to be a problem with it as DH can't connect it to either of the TVs I was so looking forward to playing on it this weekend
