LOL

DS is Shopper no. 4. Then Shopper No. 5 dropped out so he is that as well. They are doing Jack and the Beanstalk for some reason!

It is better than his class assembly last year which was to do with the universe. DS was Uranus. We were very proud.

ds1 and ds2 are shepherds. again.

and this year if every black kid gets cast as a donkey like last, i'm kickng off, oh yea.

dont know about ds3 as yet, will find out friday. Probably 'star aka random sn kid oblivious at the back swaying', as opposed obv to nursery classes 'lamb. aka random sn kid (etc))

MadreInglese · 26/11/2008 13:50

Better than a goat or donkey

HuwEdwards · 26/11/2008 13:50

friend' DD is a rat!

tortoise · 26/11/2008 13:51

DD1 is a sheep.
DD2 is a reader (so no actual part!)
DS2(jnrs) is Green activist No5!

geogteach · 26/11/2008 13:51

DD is a dragonfly

DumbledoresGirl · 26/11/2008 13:53

DS3 is going to be King 2 (the bearer of frankincense). He is very proud of this as he is only one of 6 Year Ones to be picked to supplement the Year 2s who get all the main roles usually.

DS2, doing a KS2 production of Snow White, is Dwarf 2 - very appropriate as he is so small for his age.

I love this time of year

Lilyloo · 26/11/2008 13:54

ds 6 is an innkeeper with a solo singing part ( i will cry)
dd 3 is a spider and a robin

fruitful · 26/11/2008 13:54

Dd is a cat. A cat with lines to say, no less. Aparently Mary, Joseph, angels etc are non-speaking parts...

Last year she was a bug, in the quartermaster's stores, so presumably the sort of bug to be found in RR's bag of flour. Nice.

Smithagain · 26/11/2008 13:55

DD1 is the Innkeeper's wife. Was crestfallen then discovered that it's one of the two main parts. AND the school has a costume for her. RESULT!

(She was a villager last year, so we've done our time in the back row )

Fimbo · 26/11/2008 13:56

I have yet to find out what ds is officially, according to him he is going to be Underground Ernie. Now how Underground Ernie fits into the Humped Camel, I don't know.

Littlefish · 26/11/2008 13:56

Dd (just 4) is the angel and is going to be singing "Away in a manger" on her own.

I'm going to be the mother sobbing into the tissues at the back.

ledodgy · 26/11/2008 13:57

I was the innkeeper's wife at school too! I didn't know other schools had the innkeeper's wife as she isn't even in the Christmas story is she. I was quite a talkative child and thought that they felt like they had to make up a speaking part just for me!

MadreInglese · 26/11/2008 13:57

DD is "poem Mary"

apparently there is a "singing Mary" too

Smithagain · 26/11/2008 14:01

Ledodgy - they split the Innkeeper's part in two because it was too long. So DD gets half the lines and the actual Innkeeper gets the others.

Smithagain · 26/11/2008 14:02

LOL at the split personality Mary!

chipo · 26/11/2008 14:03

DD is a person from bethlehem

mincepiemadness · 26/11/2008 15:14

DD (age 3) is Innkeeper no.2. One of the 'competitive mums' was kicking off, complaining to the nursery teacher why her DC wasn't in a 'main role' as they were one of the eldest!! They are 3-4 years old for crying out loud, what does it matter

princessmel · 26/11/2008 15:15

ds is going to be tinsel!!!!!

FarmerChristmas · 26/11/2008 15:17

DS2 is going to be the donkey

(don't know why this amuses me so much but it does!)

mincepiemadness · 26/11/2008 15:20

Lol princessmel

PuzzleRocks · 26/11/2008 15:24

I never got to be an angel. I always had the best reading voice so was always the bloody narrator. It has never left me.
I swear there will be hell to pay if DD is not made an angel when she starts school.
