Christmas Bargain Thread 8 - The one with the Vag Charms

[RainbowZebraWarrior]

Hi all. I'm just caretaking until Reastie returns, but here's our new thread. Please do use up the old one first though.

This is intended as a friendly, kind, safe, warm and fuzzy place for people to share discounts, bargains and Christmas gift ideas both online and IRL. Please note the tone and intention of the thread and join with spirit as generous as DC helping themselves to the Christmas chocolate celebrations

Here’s some useful information about how to save the thread or a specific post so you don’t need to have a message to check in for every thread so you have the thread saved:

To watch the thread - click on the little bell that has ‘watch’ under my first message. This adds the whole thread to your ‘watched threads’

You can also bookmark a specific post by clicking on the ‘bookmark’ under the specific post. This saves your exact place in a thread but doesn’t alert you to new replies.

If you have any referral links or codes, please share them on the referral thread here:

I’ve just had an email from Evri to say my Needoh parcel from urban outfitters is damaged beyond repair & to contact the sender. Hmmmmm suspicious or is it just me!

I’ve got four aunts to buy presents for, all in their sixties. The turtledove gloves seem like they’d be a good present (and a good deal!) but I know there were previous posts saying the quality has declined. Any thoughts on whether I should look elsewhere?

Interesting. I ordered one too. I’ll let you know.

@XxTigerlilyxx I have one from Lakeland, small jug, ideal for small amounts,

Amazing!!! Have bought 2 pairs!

Perhaps a little niche but I just got DS the box set of Death Note manga for £30 with 10% off and this site looked amazing for manga and D and D etc. Free delivery over £40 so I also bought him some more manga for Xmas

Manga shop called Travellingman

Fingers crossed for you @weareallqueens

https://amzn.eu/d/0dbIdsFz lego game boy 25% off but also in the spend £50 save £5 promo

There is quite a few on the website, do you know which one it is? I really have no clue what I'm looking for but have a 20% off code expiring tonight

Sorry u haven’t read through thread so apologies if this has been posted but just saw the entertainer until 4th Nov

Thank you. I will likely order from Argos click and collect, I think argos charge around £5 to post. Are Argos giving vouchers with a £100 purchase? I am after a Lego set too but the one I want hasn’t been reduced as much at argos 😭.

On Vouchercodes today there is an offer for a £50 John Lewis voucher with a purchase of a Shark product. There’s no minimum spend so assume you you could go for a £13 stain remover

@EdenGlen and @RaeraI have juggling balls and clubs that I’ve bought from Firetoys, not a bargain (although they do put some stuff in the sale section periodically) but very good quality; I’ve had the juggling balls about 8 years now and they are still going strong

Really good prices for the star wars Lego smart stuff at Argos. Tempted to get some on the assumption that someone will need a last minute present for DS1!

🌲 I noticed yesterday that Sainsbury’s had a lot of their Christmas gifts half price with a Nectar card.

Not a bargain but Jordan (trainers) are releasing a Space Jam collection tomorrow if you have any nostalgic trainer lovers to buy for!

I’ve been dithering about the turtle dove gloves and found this thread which convinced me not to go ahead with it www.mumsnet.com/talk/_chat/5275967-has-anyone-bought-turtle-dove-wrist-warmers-recently

@XxTigerlilyxx I’ve checked website ,they don’t seem to do it now.x

I loved Turtle Doves until they changed and the quality went down hill. The last pair I had was very thin and I didn’t believe that it was cashmere as it was scratchy like a wool blend.
Whinberry gifts has been set up by ex workers of Turtle Doves and their gloves are practically identical to the original Turtle Doves.

I have also ordered from Tazzie’s on eBay which are nice and thick as she washes them well before use and they sort of felt up. The only thing with hers that I’m not so keen on is that the thumb hole is not pronounced and can leave the thumb joint a bit cold but a couple of stitches here would help.

I'm building a viral beauty present for my sister but my issue is I don't know what's viral 🤣 so far I've got some plouise, body spray, medicube prdn mask and daise shower whip. Any ideas what else I could add?!

🎄 justmylook have up to 70% off medicube and free delivery over £25

What type? You could get a jug one for that or potentially an espresso one but probably not a bean to cup.

Depending on her age, you can’t go wrong with The Ordinary. I’ve tried so many of their products and they’re just amazing for the price.

This is what I use and definitely agree. I was looking for more viral products she might like to try rather than every day skincare

Where do you get the £10 off?

DD has done a wishlist for friends and family she told me she has a separate one for Santa. I found her Santa list and she has smudge monkey jellycat on it. I’m not sure if she still believes I suspect she’s very much on the edge, so would love to get this for her. I didn’t realise they’re so hard to find. Has anyone any ideas as to where I might find one.
