Hi all. I'm just caretaking until Reastie returns, but here's our new thread. Please do use up the old one first though.

This is intended as a friendly, kind, safe, warm and fuzzy place for people to share discounts, bargains and Christmas gift ideas both online and IRL. Please note the tone and intention of the thread and join with spirit as generous as DC helping themselves to the Christmas chocolate celebrations

Here’s some useful information about how to save the thread or a specific post so you don’t need to have a message to check in for every thread so you have the thread saved:

To watch the thread - click on the little bell that has ‘watch’ under my first message. This adds the whole thread to your ‘watched threads’

You can also bookmark a specific post by clicking on the ‘bookmark’ under the specific post. This saves your exact place in a thread but doesn’t alert you to new replies.

If you have any referral links or codes, please share them on the referral thread here:

A reminder that we don't use affiliated links on here please

can any one recommend the best place to buy a drs set for a 4 year old please

EdenGlen · 03/11/2026 20:44

Any suggestions for a juggling set? My 14 year old has taught himself to juggle with 3 balls but the balls we have are quite old and broken.

I was thinking a more professional set with more balls or maybe some clubs? Don’t want to spend too much but don’t want it to look like a kids’ toy.

Thanks!

For those of you looking to buy the Bloom and Wild trees (or anything else) you can now use Tesco vouchers there for 2x the value! Hope it helps someone.

Thank you!

Worth keeping your eyes peeled when in charity/junk/antique shops as vintage cornishware crops up all over the place.

Ooh that's a nice idea, pottering & finding bits. Thanks!

ay30916 · 03/11/2026 20:51

@SkinnyOatFlatWhiteForMePleaseBaristathanks for the John Lewis Lego tip off. Just got DH a formula 1 car & also they had some jelly cats on offer so got one that DD has had her eye on which had 20% off. Also apparently top cash back is going to give me 10% back on toys so fingers crossed for that!

Auction

Oooh! Gorgeous. I will go on & look, but I've been eyeing up the different colours like green/ pink/black. I definitely like a few blue bits, though. Thank you!

Onbuy was always meant to be a rival for Ebay, but never quite got the same traffic or reputation. I bought an Exploding Kittens game from them years ago but haven't used them since (mainly because I thought Exploding Kittens was hugely overrated, but also because I just found better, more relatable deals elsewhere)

I also bought Exploding Kitten from OnBuy, but it was clear it was a fake when it arrived 😞.

Wellwhoknewthat · 03/11/2026 21:04

Yes they've got other colours too

Some reduced Jellycats at John lewis

sorry if that link is weird, I got it off somebody’s Facebook sponsored link and I can’t open JL in my own browser, just takes me to the app 😑

MrsClausCookies · 03/11/2026 21:12

thanks for filling the last one @RainbowZebraWarrior- there’s nothing more frustrating than trying to follow 2 threads of the same 🤣

The most first world of problems, but it is true 😂

TheGirlWithGlassFeet · 03/11/2026 21:17

I ended up with fake Uno from Onbuy a couple of years ago.

Thank you @Londonmummy66 these are lovely 😍 and I'm going to enjoy wearing them !!

I'm so glad you like them - she's thrilled with all her MN sales this year....

I have placed an auto-bid on 3 lots 🫣. Goodness knows how much it will cost for them to post it to me of I win any of it🤔😀!

🎄 code ‘getcosy’ gives buy one get one free on turtle doves cashmere fingerless gloves, which are already down to £24 from £40 a pair so two pairs for £24. Annoying £4.95 postage on orders under £50!

Thanks so much for this, have ordered a couple for presents

CactusRabbit · 03/11/2026 21:43

Sounds like I may have had a lucky escape with Onbuy then... thanks all!
If anyone happens to see a Shaun the Sheep back pack for under £20, please let me know! 😀

Thank you to whoever used my referral code for Bloom & Wild. With the £10 I got from that, a £5 reward received for sending a plant arrangement, another £5 that unlocked whilst I was placing my order and the (only) 10% discount code received in an email on Friday I've just sent a Jingle Bell Tree to DH's Aunt for £11.50 instead of £35. I've scheduled delivery for Friday 11th December so that's something else I can forget about!
I don't think I'd have been able to use my Tesco vouchers as you can normally only use them on full price items but very happy with what I've paid.

£130 is a bargain for the big ones. What team do they follow as no obvious overlap between Ferrari and Redbull unless they are trying to collect all cars. JL seems to currently have the widest selection on offer with price match.

Both Ferrari helmets are down to £54.99 at JL too and each comes with a mini Lewis or Charles.

She already has the McLaren (her favourite) so would be happy with any of the others, she would like to collect them all, she’s 20 and severely autistic and F1 is her current hyper fixation 🤣. £130 is the cheapest I have seen it so far but I’m worried it might go down further if I buy it too soon, but also worried it will go back up in price.

MissCherryCakeyBun · 03/11/2026 22:05

🎄jellycats on offer at John Lewis. Around 15% saving and only online so delivery / in store collection charges added. But if you’re looking for a specific one? https://www.johnlewis.com/brand/jellycat/soft-toys/_/N-1z13zwuZno1x

Could you buy it at £130 now but take it back if you manage to find it significantly cheaper?
I've done that with clothes from Sainsbury's before now when I've ordered a few days before a Tu sale starts!

Sounds like a great deal and I would be happy with that too! Try the Tesco vouchers next time as I was able to stack my Tesco vouchers with the £25 % off and the extra £5 off for buying a second gift. Got 2 x Elizabeth Scarlett pouches and a delivery of Xmas flowers for £67 all paid for by £33.50 Tesco vouchers.
