This is intended as a friendly, kind, safe, warm and fuzzy place for people to share discounts, bargains and Christmas gift ideas both online and IRL. Please note the tone and intention of the thread and join with spirit as generous as DC helping themselves to the Christmas chocolate celebrations

Here’s some useful information about how to save the thread or a specific post so you don’t need to have a message to check in for every thread so you have the thread saved:
To watch the thread - click on the little bell that has ‘watch’ under my first message. This adds the whole thread to your ‘watched threads’
You can also bookmark a specific post by clicking on the ‘bookmark’ under the specific post. This saves your exact place in a thread but doesn’t alert you to new replies.

FYI it says I am now being refunded for the jeans if anyone else in the same boat.

I was told im being refunded for the jeans but have only been refunded half the cost for some reason so keep an eye on it
My ulster weavers orders have arrived. Got duvet sets, bath towels, hand towels, tea towels and mugs and really happy with all of it. Such a brilliant bargain.

IlovePond · Today 09:15

@MerylSqueak - if you can get to a Futon Company store they often have one or two bargain beds available as ex display/sale stock.

At my ‘local’ they had one the other week for £149 reduced from £499. It’s very hit and miss, though, so you could always try phoning them first.

I have had a message from Amazon saying that my croc slippers are being delayed, has anyone else had this message? I am assuming I got the idea for them from this thread 🤣

So mine were 6.97 and they refunded me 3 48. Because its a 3rd party seller Amazon cant refund you, they have to contact the seller and if they don't respond you have to file a claim. Im sure theyre thinking people won't be bothered with that and they'll just make a lot of money from the scam but im going to see it through so please everyone do check if youre getting refunds. I should have known better than to chance it, I think pretty much all of those too good to be true clothing deals on amazon are scams

superstar63 · Today 09:34

@XiCi @WimbyAce I just checked and have been refunded in full.

🎄If anyone is near hemel hempstead and knows a book lover, I went to 66 books yesterday and spent a small fortune.
I was being taken there by my husband for my birthday treat because I love fantasy books but unfortunately couldnt find anything new for myself. However, I have bought my girls LOADS (and he got himself quite a few too).
Should have cost £540 and we spent £132... :)

❤️Seperate Plea- I have booked a short stay to disney paris for january next year for my family as a surprise which I will gift at christmas. I will reveal it after we play a game of ticket to ride and claim we have 1 more mission to complete and it will be a scratch card that reveals a ticket to disneyland. However, I would really love to get my girls some disney themed gifts that are bargainous /could potentially come with us so we can avoid the "ohhhh can i have this please?!" In the shops.. any tips or bargains would be appreciated! (My girls are aged 12, 9 and 9- the twins love descendents, they all hate stitch 😂)

*edited to add I am alllll over vinted! Love that site :)

Edited

If you don't mind Temu they have lots of different ears, tshirts, jumpers bags etc

I'm wondering about the Mystery Guides which I know have been recommended in previous years. Are there ever any deals or have they just been mentioned as a good option for hard to buy for / puzzle lover recipients? I have someone who meets that description to buy for this year, and am wondering whether to go ahead and buy at current price or if there are likely to be any deals I should hold out for! Grateful for any intel! Thanks

I think there was 3 for 2 or something last year so I got it for more than one person

Ewock · Today 09:47

@Bumblebeesince19 we bought themed lanyards which the kids loved having their magic passes in. I got one as I have a disability so had a priority pass, was useful for me not to have to keep getting it out.
Prinark did do some shoulder pals as well. But have seen those on Ali express.
We gave our kids a budget, they could buy whatever they wanted but it had to come out of that money. This meant they were alot more choosy. They did buy a set of chip and Dale teddies between which they love. They were the winter themed ones and come as a pair.
Also look out for deals in the shops there. They have some if you buy before a certain time you get something free. Or if you spend x you get something free or discounted.

Mens fragrance gift sets are on offer on Superdrug website- Rabanne, Boss, JPG, website is on and off, best to order to store for collection

Nomdeplumeforthis1 · Today 10:17

@Bumblebeesince19just to flag there is no descendants merch or references in the park (or extremely little) so that the merch id focus on. You can get mal’s spell book that might be something to keep them busy on whilst you travel?

I contacted Tipi about the marshmallow toasting tins that were listed on one of the last threads - I bought some on 15th and hadn’t had any order updates or even a confirmation email, only a PayPal receipt.

They said they had had to increase delivery times as they had increased demand (that’s us 😁 we did that) and that my order should be sent out by the end of this week. Just thought I’d share in case anyone else was wondering!

Both my boys still love the bath barista (3 and 7) it is only £15.99 on offer on Amazon at the moment.

@PurpleSock another vote for the bath barista, we also have she oven thing but that is barely touched whereas the barista is going strong like 4 years in…I didn’t actually realise how long we have had it until just now, prob should replace it at some point 🤣

Hey lovelies!
looking for a good replica football shirt site!
recommendations please!
i’ve seen https://footballsbest4u.com
does anyone have any reviews about these? Xxx

I used them last year, adult one was perfect, literally identical to official one. Kids one up close you could tell as sleeves weren’t as stiff at the end, but child hasn’t noticed, and I think I only did as I had an official to compare to. Both washed really well.

Has anyone got any recommendations for a tablet for Grandparents? They currently have an Amazon one, but the battery is awful and wouldn’t want another one. Not sure they will use it enough to warrant iPad prices.

I agree about Tomy barista bath set, no mould and still regularly used at 8 years old!

🎄 Baileys also £9.97 in Morrisons 🥃

I've seen posts before about spicery kits, never paid much attention, but I'm trying to find something for my hard to buy for (although ofc he would disagree 🫪) partner. He likes a curry but doesn't cook often but I was thinking maybe it could be a date night option? What do we think? Any suggestions and offers?
