This is intended as a friendly, kind, safe, warm and fuzzy place for people to share discounts, bargains and Christmas gift ideas both online and IRL. Please note the tone and intention of the thread and join with spirit as generous as DC helping themselves to the Christmas chocolate celebrations

Here’s some useful information about how to save the thread or a specific post so you don’t need to have a message to check in for every thread so you have the thread saved:
To watch the thread - click on the little bell that has ‘watch’ under my first message. This adds the whole thread to your ‘watched threads’
You can also bookmark a specific post by clicking on the ‘bookmark’ under the specific post. This saves your exact place in a thread but doesn’t alert you to new replies.

Boots has some 🎄Advent calendars on ‘up
to half price’ sale - link here.
I filter by “in stock.”
You can also filter by type, eg chocolate and beauty.

There’s a good Nivea men’s one at half price, plus Baylis and Harding. There’s a Lynx one which might be good if you have a teenager to gift it to.

Lego ones

It says “This is just the first of our Christmas Advent Calendar release”

Knoops Halloween hot chocolate has come and the milk has an expiry date of 10th January. So far their “customer happiness” email is refusing to replace.

BeaLola · Today 12:36

For hot chocolate which we use in Velvetiser I always buy from Pendragons - never had an offer but the flakes are lovely £16:99 a 1kg bag and they do 5kg box of 5 x 1 kg packs -postage reasonable considering and we prefer to Hotel Chocolat

The Essence Vault has their monthly 30% off everything payday sale with code PAYDAY30

Ooh I do love Disturbia. I wish they'd make their tops longer though.

Has anyone got any recommendations for a tablet for Grandparents? They currently have an Amazon one, but the battery is awful and wouldn’t want another one. Not sure they will use it enough to warrant iPad prices.

I agree about Tomy barista bath set, no mould and still regularly used at 8 years old!

I have a Samsung galaxy A9+ Tab. It does everthing I need it for and way less pricey than an I Pad.

Thank you . There’s one item I’m after but it’s £23 and I’m undecided if I should just wait or not .

🌲In case folk missed it at the very end of the last thread, Quality Street 700g tins are half price in Tesco with Clubcard until 15th Nov. They look really lovely.

A heads up for anyone with Arsenal fc (i.e the best club in the World 😉) supporters in their family. Zilch are giving away 500 free official scarves after every win without conceding. This is for the men and womens teams and includes cup competitions not just Premier League/The WSL. I was lucky enough to win one the other week and it would make a lovely gift.

They go very quickly so my tips are to have autofill set up beforehand and to have the link ready during extra time and keep refreshing.

🎄In case anyone is looking for a decent (but reasonably priced) gift for men / teen boys, the Bob men’s wash kit is a great option for £20 or £10 with a referral link. It is a sustainable product with soap applicator / scrubber for face, hair and body plus 4x soap scents.

It’s great for stinky teens getting them to wash properly and not have millions of empty bottles in the shower or damp flannels left behind.

It’s sustainable and also chemical free, and it comes with shower mount plus you can choose your preferred colour.

I bought the kit for £20 which I thought was a good price (as it includes 2 bars of soap in each of four scents) but realised afterwards that with a referral code you get 50% off on top of this package deal (and I believe you can buy multiples at this price as my friend bought three sets for only £30), so only £10 for the kit.

The smell is absolutely amazing; the whole upstairs of my house smells like a spa after my son has had a shower.

Anyway, I’ve posted my referral over on the referrals board (it’s on the last page) if anyone wants to use it, but even at £20 this is a good deal. Lots of my son’s cousins and friends are now using this.

@BedTimeAt8how does the sizing come up on the kids shirts? My DS is 5 but very petite and generally wears an age 3-4.

One of my adult daughters would like a backpack for when she treks around our city. Can anyone recommend a backpack where the outer zip pocket (usually on the back) is on the front? I'm worried that if she puts her purse in there an opportunistic pick pocket thief might nick it!

Most back packs have a security pocket that goes against your back to prevent this now xx

They come up about right, my 8 year old is in a 24. She had a real one brought when she was 7 at age 7-8 and it was quickly too small. the one from
Footballsbest4u seems a more normal size.

@Qwerty21 I haven't used Spicery, but can strongly recommend Spice Trove (especially the Boxing Day curry): https://www.spicetrove.co.uk/ and they come beautifully wrapped in recycle-able saris.

Apols they seem to have updated the offer - it’s now £16 including two bars but it looks like you can choose your own scent now.
the red one is the nicest!

You should still be able to get 50% off that price anyway.
