Anyone know where I can get cheap Christmas / birthday gift bags? Need to buy quite a few and looking for a great price

Last couple of years, Aldi have had packs of varying size Christmas gift bags at a very good price, not seen them yet this year so fingers crossed!

I ordered starfish on 19th and got a dispatch notice today. I did chase on Tuesday and they came back saying they were overwhelmed and I could cancel so I’m sure they will refund if you follow up with them and don’t want to wait. I said happy to wait and had a lovely (not a bot) reply.

Great tip about the gin crackers @IlovePond - I will be taking a trip to John Lewis tomorrow

Does anyone know anything about Mylee nails? My 12 year old DD wants the starter kit in Boots, the star gift, but I don’t know anything about nails so I don’t know if it’s suitable for her age/beginners.

They’re good. You need a lamp for them if it’s the gel ones. You get blue light discount on the mylee website too- I think it’s 20% and they do bundles on there too.

Edited

And they’re ok for a 12 year old to use? She’ll be able to remove the polish? Thanks for replying x

It is hard to remove the polish. You need to soak them- the mylee solution is quite strong. The actual polish is great quality-they last two to three weeks. Wouldn’t want to say whether they are okay for a 12 year old though. The gel can weaken your nails (the same as all gel nails). I would choose mylee over cheap brands though.

I would not go for gel nails for a 12yo. They absolutely wreck your nails. I know so many people who have to keep on with gel nails indefinitely due to the damage.

I'm trying to do the P.Louise order but no matter what I do it's adding a free gift of 'Bad bitch crystal energy lip duo' which won't allow any codes to be used with it. So frustrating!

Has anyone seen any good deals on the Spicery or similar? DS has just started university and is cooking for himself for the first time and I think he'd really appreciate this kind of thing

I ordered Starfish on the 18th and received mine today. Very lovely stuff and all full price on the site now - can't remember why it was on such a big sale, was it closing a UK warehouse or something

Have done a p.louise order too!

Now I just need really cheap teen boy gifts...

even if you add the codes at checkout? you might need to remove codes, let the order be over £50 and then re-add them in the checkout stage

apologies if you've already done all that

Depends whether youre happy with her having gel polish / lamps / acetone to remove. They need to be soaked off as someone else said, with acetone. I'm a nightmare for picking / peeling them which definitely damages your nails.

The Mylee brand is good I find the colours quite mature. I prefer the bluesky brand for the colour selection. Its time consuming too. When she first starts doing them id guess around an hour.

Did anyone receive two micellar waters from Plouise?

Mine arrived today but only one. The box is very pretty. I'm personally not keen on the smell of the water which is disappointing, but I can't complain over £1!

Yes I got two.
