Thread 3 - the one where things get serious

[Reastie]

All my plans at getting organised in the last thread left me as I realised the thread with referrals was already up and running, so the one I set up I'll link to once the current one runs out!

Welcome one and all to this safe, warm and fuzzy place for people to share discounts, bargains and Christmas gift ideas both online and IRL. Please note the tone and intention of the thread and join with spirit as generous as DC helping themselves to the Christmas chocolate celebrations .

Here’s some useful information about how to save the thread or a specific post so you don’t need to have a message to check in for every thread so you have the thread saved:

To watch the thread - click on the little bell that has ‘watch’ under my first message. This adds the whole thread to your ‘watched threads’

You can also bookmark a specific post by clicking on the ‘bookmark’ under the specific post. This saves your exact place in a thread but doesn’t alert you to new replies.

If you have any referral links or codes, please share them on the referral thread here

A reminder that we don't use affiliated links on here please

If there’s anything you think would be useful or good to include in this post then please do tag me and let me know here (or DM me). Also always happy to hear nominations for a thread title.

Sorry, the above is Hugo boss parfum down to £45 from £107

Home Bargains instore again (it's on the school route!). I've always found Clemontoni a good quality brand, they're Italian. I had similar items for my DC when they were little, & always received well. Great for wet days.

And these Playdoh boxes are really big- a substabtial gift. Says £39 full price, but not sure how accurate that is.

I wondered if people who already own the switch, are just downloading it as a treat, it is cheaper than a magazine etc.
I think the only way to gift, is if you don't have the switch, and are planning to get one. You can have the game on it so the console is ready to use on christmas day or the birthday.

seeing the scissors reference made me wonder what are the best pizza scissors ? - doing an Italian hamper for friend and I have a pizza cutter but it’s pants

I ordered a 50ml bottle of Black Opium Glitter from Boots last night. It was £53.50 which is half price, and includes a free gift which looks like a cosmetic bag with a mini perfume in it. I also got over £3 in advantage points back because I’ve got double points this month, and 4% by going through Quidco. Gift for me 😂

Not quite as good as @DressOrSkirt but massive thanks to @hugsandpugs i managed to get all of this for £22 delivered 🙌🏻 did have to go incognito though 🤣

How do you do it to get the free bad b when it’s not £50 😂

It’s one of those sites that regularly do deals. I bought my DDs shampoo sets last year which they loved and only use now.

It’s £29.99 in smyths and on Amazon so I would say that’s a good deal

I’m going to get uno extreme for my daughter. I hadn’t seen it irl before but it was in B&M for £19.99 and it’s massive! However it’s down to £12.99 on Amazon. Currently got a basket of stuff waiting for prime day next week so holding my nerve on it at the moment.

It added automatically for me as the other discounts didn't go through until checkout. Maybe make sure the other discounts (TREAT, NEW.....) are removed, then add them again at the checkout?

Clearance electrical beauty up to 80% off at Boots

Ps5 DualSense® Wireless Controller £45.99 (black only)

@hugsandpugs I went through to checkout and removed all the discounts (copied the mystery bag code) then clicked back out of checkout which then made the total above £50 and added the free gift automatically then back in to check out and added all the discount codes again 💃

It won't let me link but there are quite a few of the physical gift cards reduced on Amazon. E g £25 card costing £21.75 on lots, Uber Eats £42 for £50 card etc

Thank you, just ordered the controller

Well that's good, thanks. Hopefully someone will find that tip useful.

Yes, that is the only way to gift. My DS prefers a physical game, but others might like the download.

Just picked up the Argos hot wheels bargains. They're HUGE! Thanks for the tip 😁

@JustMyViewOnThis Sorry for not replying and just disappearing, I had surgery and it went tits up so I have been mostly sleeping. I opened a credit account with Very and had 30% off, I usually don't touch any kind of credit but I have the money saved ready to pay it off.

@ILoveCatsAndKittens the games are stupidly expensive and I would ordinarily resent the cost but a Switch is literally the only thing my boy wants and we have zero ideas for other gifts so don't mind this.
