Last year the slots were released on Tuesday 23rd September, so they should be coming soon ...

I'm also here for any M&S Xmas food chat. The chocolate pine cones made me very happy last year. 🌲

I'm now wondering when the waitrose slots go live. I have a decent sized M&S right on my doorstep so just take my chances with that but I get my main shop from Waitrose since I went gluten free.

M&S slots are live!!!

Did anyone have the Collection Wagu Experience box last year? If so thoughts?? The description has the words "last years sell out experience is back" so of course it draws me in 🙄

They don't go live at midnight. M&S just say that it's "early on DATE" so it's how early you fancy getting up.

Just got my slot secured. Staring bleary eyed at about 10 different types of turkey. 🥴😄

Me too @Crumbelina. I'm excited as I didn't get the chocolate pine cones or the individual lobster starters that I really fancied last year so they are in my bag now.

I'm off to town to get the catalogue today for a proper browse. I was tempted by the black forest gateau until I saw the £30 price tag. And the new "Snow Much Fun" pud with the penguins on looked great until I saw the dreaded salted caramel in the description! 😄 Sticking with the classic pine cones again.

When is salted caramel going to die a bloody death?! I can't believe it's still as ubiquitous!

I have had an M&S slot for the last 15 or so years and this year is the first year that I won’t bother. It’s all so uninspiring, last year I thought was average but this year even worse.
Cant get gravy (I know they haven’t done that the last few years), can’t get any decent desserts and still not putting the buffet box back in as party food.
Shall need to see what Waitrose and Sainsbury’s are offering.

I've never used Ocado for an M&S Christmas delivery before. How are they for substitutions? I've booked 23rd to give me some time, just in case!

I have just been on twice to pick a slot, which it has allowed me to do. However, once I start trying to browse, I hit a 404 error. It is within the M&S app. Has anyone else experienced this or heard of it?

Mine was ok but I was online before 6am. I guess the site traffic is heavy right now as people wake up and go online.

I’ve just booked 10am on Christmas Eve.

Ordered a turkey and the pine cones. I assume I can go back and add to it in the interim?

I have managed to add things to my basket now. I see the deposit has increased to £50 from £40 last year?

DP works for Waitrose so we will get extra bits from there with staff discount but the turkey, sides and sausage roll wreath will come from M&S as vouchers gifted over the year will cover this.

It is so nice to have peace of mind that you can just go and collect the main parts (at least for us) and not have the stress of crowds. They let us check out other bits we had in the trolley when we collected so that is even better!

Booked myself venison (don't care for turkey) and lobster croutes for Christmas Eve.
