i thought we could use a thread for ideas on kids Christmas presents and stocking fillers.
Mine are quite young so I will be doing the good old fidget toys, colours, slime etc for the stocking fillers.

If you have any great suggestions would you mind sharing links, please?

Dd 13 loves chopsticks, get her some for stocking every year, the first year we got them for her she was 8 and told everyone it was one of her fave presents ever. By the end of the year there’s always some missing.
she will get a book, possibly a colouring book because she’s super into those “cute” colouring books.
also we usually put
a Ty beanie baby
a lush bath bomb
a p Louise bad bitch energy set
chocolate
a mini Lego set if I can find a suitable one
a funko pop
and a few other bits I’ll find along the way

I just scrolled through clearance and found some good things. Quality looked good when it arrived yesterday.

I always look at Rex of London too.

I went for a few of the solve a mystery sets from Temptation Gifts. I got card trick pack too which is basically a pack of cards with a booklet of trick instructions.

I got a mini vintage camera keyring (Kodak) yesterday. My first Christmas purchase for my DD (13).
I think it needs a sim card so I’ll need to look at it properly.

Last Christmas DD was nearly 4 and the biggest hits in her stocking were lip balm with Disney princesses on and frozen plasters. Then the biggest tree present hits which would have been perfect for a stocking but were actually from a friend were wind up chattery teeth and 2 rolls of sellotape!
She has a big sack stocking but my rule is each item has to be less than £5 unless it’s a useful thing I would be buying anyway e.g knickers in which case I will go to £10.
This year so far I have:

Moana doll (like Barbie sized) she got Anna and Elsa for her birthday and loves them.

This Fishing Guidebook is my huge recommendation for boys* aged 8-13
Fish with Carl - is a fishing “influencer” on YouTube (no swearing!) and his book is brilliantly written - just enough info and easy to dip in and out of
DS and lots of his friends have gotten into carp fishing (& then all sorts of other fishing) which I have no idea about . It’s book that he has actually read. And it’s a good option o have found to suggest for those who like to gift books

there are also little fishing log books, stickers and fish identification posters - good for stocking fillers

ETA * obviously girls can and do fish!!

i found that things would get discarded etc, so i buy a few useful items like umbrellas, night wear, water bottles etc and things that will get used or eaten like bubble bath and sweets.

Aldi has some great little stationery sets in their middle aisle this week. Fluffy pencils with erasers on top, 10 colour pens, and ruler/sharpener sets for 89p.

I’ve picked them up today for stocking fillers for the children, and I’m going to go back to get some for my nieces and nephew, too.
