Thread 20 - the one with Christmas?

I'm taking a punt that this one might see us until Christmas. Will likely live to be proved wrong but let's go with the punt!

The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread here and share around the joy/referral perks.

Looks like Contigo is a winner. Unfortunately, I’m not near many shops so I will have to order online or get it in a supermarket so this seems to fit the bill. Can I just check, is it this one?

This is a bit niche but has anyone seen the Kikkoman Soy Sauce bottles with the crocheted Santa outfit in any shops?

I ordered it online where the Santa outfit showed on the listing photos but they just sent the bare bottle 😏

Thanks!

I have that having previously had a different model of contigo. Can confirm it's good! Stays hot for a decent time and doesn't leak. Only difference over my old one is it doesn't auto close, you have to click it shut

LetMeJustCheckMyCitrusPocket · 14/12/2025 20:05

Thanks @ArcticBlue there were none in our local Waitrose but will definitely check again then.

Tesco have a load of beauty gifts that are “better than half price” but also 3for2.

So in most cases it’s the equivalent of 3 for 1 compared to original price.

includes e.g.

Original Source gift set with the Oddballs boxers (down to 9.50, so £6.33 a pack if you were buying 3. Original price £20 each.)

Lynx body wash and body spray set (down to £3.50, so £2.33 each if buying 3. Original price £9 each.)

Dove hand cream gift set (down to £3.55, so £2.37 each if buying 3. Original price £7.50 each.). I thought these might be nice teacher presents if anyone is still looking.

That's a ridiculously good deal on the Oddballs! I've already spent £££
on pants from them for DS2, so a trifle annoying that I could get 3 pairs & all those toiletries for what I paid for 2 pairs delivered! I must remember these sets for next time.

I may try & find some to put away.

Burnnoticed · 14/12/2025 20:20

Thank you - have just ordered

TK MAXX

Free click and collect with no minimum spend this weekend.

Thanks for this! Ordered some pyjamas. Got to nip into town this week anyway to collect another order so free c&c worked well thank you!

Alicorn1707 · 14/12/2025 20:33

@LetMeJustCheckMyCitrusPocket on Amazon £3

My son has put "satisfying slime" on his Christmas list. Anyone have any idea which slime is the most satisfying?!

Arghghg Anthropologie anthroperks £20 voucher!! How do I get it to work? It’s a full price item. It’s driving me mad - says it’s applied but it isn’t. And I’ve tried going through checkout. It’s not working 😭

They've now made it a £50 minimum spend to use the voucher on.

Squiggles23 · 14/12/2025 21:14

@poostinkywink for Anthropologie you (stupidly) have to remove any other sale items from your basket. So minimum spend £50, to get £20 off.

poostinkywink · 14/12/2025 21:17

That’s so unfair 😭 I couldn’t use it for ages as they applied a blanket discount on all items so have been waiting to use it, and now they’ve changed the goalposts. I only signed up for the voucher 😭 Harrumph. Thanks for your replies ❤️

I've seen these in the Co-op, if that helps?

LetMeJustCheckMyCitrusPocket · 14/12/2025 21:48

@Alicorn1707 thank you but that's where I ordered from before and they sent me just the naked bottle 😁

LetMeJustCheckMyCitrusPocket · 14/12/2025 21:50

@Cuwins and @IWouldBeSuperb thank you, I didn't know they both had them too so will brave the supermarkets again 🙂

Ughy · 14/12/2025 22:06

@LetMeJustCheckMyCitrusPocket Something similar happened to me last year - I ordered a beautiful Nivea crème tin that had ice skaters on it (as a stocking filler) and the boring blue one turned up. Amazon refunded me in full and let me keep the item though. Annoying.

For anyone stocking up their present cupboard or buying for multiple young children, these Peppa pig bath bombs are a great shout - £1.26 per pack, each containing 3, so 30 in total for £12.67

LetMeJustCheckMyCitrusPocket · 14/12/2025 22:11

@Ughy yes they refunded me too no problem but was just a bit strange.

Fillybuster · 14/12/2025 22:16

Massive thanks to everyone who shared suggestions for Amazon-delivered team gifts….many bottles of Edinburgh gin and craft beer now wending their way across the country!

For the pp asking about Contigo cups, I bought myself the slightly more expensive West Loop auto seal version a few months back, and it’s my absolute favourite purchase this year: totally leakproof even in my handbag, and keeps my drink hot for hours. Massively recommended!!

I have to throw myself on your collective mercy as I've been so unwell with awful flu and have been struggling just to get through the days....then today I woke up feeling better and have realised its nearly Christmas! I have bought almost nothing after a strong start and it will all have to be online. Please can anyone help with!

My sister who likes fancy makeup, the gym, silver jewellery. £20 budget due to stupid family rules set by my parents which makes it all MUCH HARDER.

My brother who likes running and coffee. Ditto budget.

13 year old nephew who likes drama and singing. £15 budget for him (even worse)

10 year old nephew who likes football to the exclusion of all else. £15 budget.

I wrote you a long reply- but typing it quickly now -

Sister - Hotdiamonds with codes MSE40 and JEWELS for 40% off and free delivery.

Brother - just buy him beans. Grind do a nice coffee beans with a tin. You could choose Christmas or snoopy depending on his likes.

Nephew - football- I’d ask his parents whether he wants a new ball, if not then buy him an ultimate football heroes book of his favourite player and amazon sell lots of options for football themed chocolates.

Nephew - would drama/singing convert into a game like https://www.argos.co.uk/product/5790793?rec=GPDP%5B7874796%5D:bottomSlider:P1:OHAT:alternatives:5790793:NEXYhJoWRJCZ9YNPms2w or https://www.argos.co.uk/product/7874796

There is a galt slime lab so he can make various types of slime and decide which is the most satisfying?
