Thread 13 - the one with a cheesy advent calendar of 67 jumpers

Decided to combine both thread title suggestions :)

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for helping me out and I'm so excited that I was on my computer and she tagged me so I could set this one up - hurrah!

Feeling super festive today after getting the decorations up and visiting Father Christmas. Exciting news is the Christmas bedding and jumpers are all down from the loft and being washed, so I'll soon be able to walk around in my 'I [heart] Christmas' jumper Xmas Grin

This post is a work in progress, and if you have any links you’d like to share or you think would be good to add, then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas, and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links, please.
Please post any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!
As we move towards actual Black Friday (does that even exist any more?) the threads tend to move very quickly. It can be helpful to post your bargain in bold. This can be done by adding an asterxix either side of a word with no gap in between. So Levi's would be Levi's

Please help!
We’ve sourced the furry coat, had some joy with the shitting flamingo, now it’s my turn to panic.
We’ve just returned from a centre parcs trip. My daughter fell in love with the plush sugar plum from the Christmas book, however it was all sold out. I asked staff in all the shops, and they don’t post out even if it were to come back in stock. She’s asking Santa for it. I can’t find a single picture of one online, none on Vinted etc. Any ideas where I could possibly find one?

IlovePond · 02/12/2025 07:28

@LabubuLover - what does it look like?

I had a quick Google and the top choices were something that looked like a llama with a unicorn horn and a frankly terrifying demon fairy thing with a huge head.

Was it either of those or a literal plum shaped plushie or something else entirely?

Loose leaf seems more premium but actually I really like the Teapigs pyramids, they make a lovely moose-leaf quality brew without the faff!

I was wondering for a while if moose-leaf was a particular kind of chai tea 😁

Thanks! I'll have a look 😊

The Cutter & Squidge gift vouchers still appear to be 50% off this morning - probably for a limited time. Worth trying to stack with a referral code from the other board for an additional £10 off £30. This seems to have worked for some folk.

Think it has ended now, sadly. I contemplated buying one last night, but didn’t. Maybe it’s a sign I didn’t need it!

There's an unofficial CenterParcs Facebook page. I'm not on it anymore but you could ask on there for people visiting to keep an eye out and send it to you? I'm sure I've seen it done a few times before.

'Whinfell Forest CenterParcs' might be the one I'm thinking of, I used to work there so it's likely that's the group I'm thinking of. There's alot of workers on there who'd be more than happy to help, aswell as people visiting. It's a friendly group so might be worth a try 🤞

@LabubuLover if you can post a description or even a pic from a google search we can start the hunt! Best of luck

If anyone is wanting Dean's of Huntly all butter shortbread (in store not online) you can get 400g for £3.49 at Lidl. It's dated Jan 2027 too!

What does anyone think the chances are of the 6/7 hoodies actually arriving?

Blummin' Deans sorting out their Lidl order instead of sending me the hamper I ordered weeks ago! 😁

IsThisLifeNow · 02/12/2025 10:13

Looks like the glitch order on the candy kitten advent calendars has been cancelled. I haven't had a cancellation email, but I noticed when in the shop tracking app I had to download to track my cheese (not yet dispatched!), the transaction is saying cancelled and refunded. Oh well, it was worth a punt

<1%
Mine still says arriving 15-20 December, but the listing's are no longer there and no image showing on my order. Bad reviews on the seller.
It was worth a risk for 99p, but if something seems too good to be true it usually is.

ilikeeggs · 02/12/2025 10:18

Did anyone do an Amazon Haul order when there was that £11 off deal and have they received their order?
Mine was supposedly delivered at 11:15pm last night which seems an odd time anyway but I’ve checked and there’s definitely no parcels been left.

deeplybaffled · 02/12/2025 10:19

@VisitingSanta yep, I’m thinking very much the same! My tracking says it’s with the courier, but……

sillygoof · 02/12/2025 10:24

Has anyone seen any good reductions on advent calendars yet? I’d love a ferrero one if cheap enough, and non food ones for next year.

I ordered and mine is still showing in the app as "Order Received". I'm trying not to get impatient - fortunately none of it is Christmas stuff so I don't need it urgently.

Toooldforlonghair · 02/12/2025 10:31

Got an Aveeno moisturising face and body bundle on £10 Tuesday at Boots. Not very exciting but alway needed by DD who has skin problems. Not a huge saving (£6) but it seems to be a popular brand for those with similar issues so thought I'd post.
Also managed to get Ted Baker body sprays which I'm splitting for stocking gifts (£10 saving). Tried for them last week but they sold out before I could buy.

England, West Midlands to be more specific. X

Hope it comes to you soon. I ordered one for my parents too as they loved theirs last year, so fingers crossed for that one too! X

Hollyjollynights · 02/12/2025 11:09

I know asking for recommendations here is a bit of a faux pas but I’m looking for golf toys for an 18m-2year old. Does such a thing exist?

I’m just thinking of choking hazards really but if anyone can recommend anything good for older children that is probably safe under supervision I’d love recommendations too

I had the exact thing happen to me. I think some have had confirmation of it being sent out though.

IlovePond · 02/12/2025 11:24

@sillygoof - my local Lidl had chocolate a/cs reduced today.

Waitrose had a couple of chocolate ones reduced the other day too, but they were still pricy.

Yes, I did and mine arrived 2 days later, with the exception of one straggler that arrived yesterday.

IlovePond · 02/12/2025 11:33

I did @ilikeeggs and it’s still not here. In your case, as they say it’s been delivered, it’s probably been left at the wrong address.

That happened to me yesterday - I got a delivery notification but it was at the neighbours 🙀

We often get Amazon deliveries really late at night. My understanding is that the drivers have a certain number to deliver and they are pretty much expected to keep going until they’ve finished - regardless of the time. I think our very latest delivery- to date - was 11pm.
