Thread 13 - the one with a cheesy advent calendar of 67 jumpers

Decided to combine both thread title suggestions :)

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for helping me out and I'm so excited that I was on my computer and she tagged me so I could set this one up - hurrah!

Feeling super festive today after getting the decorations up and visiting Father Christmas. Exciting news is the Christmas bedding and jumpers are all down from the loft and being washed, so I'll soon be able to walk around in my 'I [heart] Christmas' jumper Xmas Grin

This post is a work in progress, and if you have any links you’d like to share or you think would be good to add, then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas, and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links, please.
Please post any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!
As we move towards actual Black Friday (does that even exist any more?) the threads tend to move very quickly. It can be helpful to post your bargain in bold. This can be done by adding an asterxix either side of a word with no gap in between. So Levi's would be Levi's

Someone mentioned earlier they were finding it hard to keep track of all their orders, whether they’re been delivered etc so this made me laugh 😆

Annoyingly I’ve tried all ways to get the blue toothbrush but wondering whether there’s a fault as 20 mins later it’s still not sold out. Wondering if others are having the same issue

@nothingcomestonothing

It's here £31.20 then add discount code BF20 to take it down to £24.96

Fab thanks!

A request for help please! My teenager has asked for a hand held hoover, specifically for cleaning their car, I am overwhelmed by the choices available and am wondering if anyone has any recommendations please? TIA

edited to add: I’m not especially looking to buy from Amazon, but thought they’d be a good place to start!

Edited

We’ve got one of these and it’s easy to charge and use. Not huge capacity but it copes well with general dirt and dogs. Has little attachments to get into seat gaps.

I’m determined it’s the froot loops one but im wondering if there’s a mis spelling their end and that’s why it’s not accepting it because I’ve tried so many combinations 🤣

I’m not needing anything from Hismile but been trying the riddles. Blue has stumped me. And everyone else by the looks of it as it’s still up for sale!

I think they’re an Australian company, could be something we’ve not heard of over here.

Have you had these before, I’ve never heard of them! Thinking of getting a voucher and spending it on Xmas gifts!

Hey Magik, I've ordered from them a few times over the last 18 months or so. They're not the most amazing cakes (still nice though!) but I love trying the different flavours that they do. I've only complained once but after sending a few pics, they sent me a gift voucher to the same value which was good of them.

I will say if you get a cake though, it needs to be left out of the fridge and brought to room temp before you intend to eat it. Part of my complaint was that it was abit dry and they responded with, "From my experience in colder climates/seasons our cakes do take a long time to get up to room temperature as they are made with 100% butter. We also chill our cakes for transport so they don't get damaged. The cold does inhibit the taste of the cake but it really comes to life when it's at room temperature and the buttercream texture becomes soft like whipped double cream." So that made sense and I've been more patient since then and all's been fine 😁

I've ordered vouchers to give to family, so I do recommend them ☺️ and I have a cake coming for my Christmas Eve buffet (the cakes are nice though and their customer service is fab!)

Sorry I went on a bit of a ramble there 😅😁

I got MIL a lovely Jane Austen one, after she loved the Bridgerton one from the same range that I got her for her birthday.

Was going to mention these too! We have had a couple of these including this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/World-Miss-Marple-Piece-Puzzle/dp/1399608657/ref=sr_1_6?

And we also have had Ridley's ones that we've really enjoyed too - like these two:

It’s probably just about to finish but in case anyone is still shopping, you get a free blusher with any purchase on the Merit Beauty website at the moment. This is quite expensive stuff and there’s already up to 44% off so you can potentially get a couple of items delivered for £20.

these would probably make a lovely gift; I wouldn’t know as I bought for myself 😆

I've used them before, their afternoon teas are really excellent and a decent amount of cakes (plus they come with fresh cream, which is much nicer than fake cream).

ApiratesaysYarrr · 02/12/2025 05:42

Nip and fab 5 glycolic acid masks for £10 on Boots - would normally be £35 for 5, so a really decent saving.

Any tips for secret santa £15 approx. Something indulgent for someone who is into clean, environmentally friendly stuff like aluminum free deodorant etc. Anyone tried the Fussy body washes etc?

Do Boots still do offer off codes for over £50 or £75 spends when ordering online please?

Do Boots still do offer off codes for over £50 or £75 spends when ordering online please?

On my Advantage Card at the moment I have 10% off when you spend £25+, or £5.50 in points if you spend £55+. You have to activate the offer in your account first. I don't know if they stack - my suspicion is probably not but sometimes they do.

VikingNorthUtsire · 02/12/2025 06:55

Thanks for the suggestions for the teenage boy gifts. They were very clear that any clothes must be One Size Fits All. When I re-read it all, it's unwrapped items so they can gift it all appropriately, so I bought a bunch of beanie hats from Debenhams and they can add them to bundles with other bits.

It always makes me sad that gift donation schemes get less for teenage boys than other groups. However, teenage boys are really hard to buy for in that scenario! (even as a mum.of a teenage boy).

SomethingOfTheNight · 02/12/2025 06:56

Thank you @VikingNorthUtsire I have spotted £7 of points with over £70 spend 💐

MamaClausToTheRescue · 02/12/2025 07:08

The Cutter & Squidge gift vouchers still appear to be 50% off this morning - probably for a limited time. Worth trying to stack with a referral code from the other board for an additional £10 off £30. This seems to have worked for some folk.

olivietolivie · 02/12/2025 07:13

The John Lewis advent calendar today is a free chocolate snowman. Looks lovely but unfortunately I won’t be able to redeem mine as my nearest John Lewis is 65 miles away (I know, woe is me). If it is possible to share codes I’m more than happy to share mine. Once redeemed in the app there is only a three hour window to use so would need a little coordination.
