Thread 13 - the one with a cheesy advent calendar of 67 jumpers

Reastie · 29/11/2025 20:25

Decided to combine both thread title suggestions :)

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for helping me out and I'm so excited that I was on my computer and she tagged me so I could set this one up - hurrah!

Feeling super festive today after getting the decorations up and visiting Father Christmas. Exciting news is the Christmas bedding and jumpers are all down from the loft and being washed, so I'll soon be able to walk around in my 'I [heart] Christmas' jumper Xmas Grin

This post is a work in progress, and if you have any links you’d like to share or you think would be good to add, then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas, and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links, please.
Please post any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!
As we move towards actual Black Friday (does that even exist any more?) the threads tend to move very quickly. It can be helpful to post your bargain in bold. This can be done by adding an asterxix either side of a word with no gap in between. So Levi's would be Levi's

@VikingNorthUtsire - how about some Nike socks? Or a SuperDry gift set?

WelcomeToDecemberItGetsWorseHereEveryDay · 01/12/2025 18:30

@Threeboystwocatsandadog ah, your cat sounds very intelligent! My cats have a range of intelligence including one who we genuinely think doesn’t have a brain (but I love her so much!) so I’m not too worried. Plus we now have the planned Jadvent so they may grow bored of them! As cats tend to do when you’ve bought extra…

@IlovePond i have checked Ocado for reduced dog ones but they are sold out sadly.

LadyPene · 01/12/2025 18:35

Just want to say thank you for the heads up about the Roka free gift(s) when spend £50. I ordered Friday and its arrived today, all really nice. The offer is still partially on if anyone is tempted.

ThirtysomethingMummy · 01/12/2025 18:38

I’m not sure if the original deal was posted on here but if you did the recent Abbott Lyon deal they are cancelling orders 😢
noticed the money back in my account and got an email after x

Does anyone know how to get any deals at Vue cinema or McDonalds?
Ive promised a Christmas trip but had an unexpected expense (kitchen ceiling fell down after a bathroom leak 🙈) and want to see if there’s any way I can get it a bit cheaper before I have to cancel

Are you NHS or know anyone that is that will let you use their app? If so 20% off at Mcds and can use Blue light card app for discount on Vue cinema tickets (also other cinemas).

After buying this yesterday for DH’s grandad I realised I haven’t seen it mentioned on the thread this year: https://alpacaproducts.co.uk/shop/p/xl-alpaca-nesting-cylinder Alpaca nesting material for birds/squirrels. We got it for my twitcher Dad last year and he loved it so have bought it for DH’s garden-loving grandad this year and hope he’s going to be just as happy. Plus it comes with a lovely note from the alpacas’ owner which is so cute.

@Oneborneverydecade this may be the one.

eta; sorry, @FurForksSake @begonia27 already linked eons ago 🙈 😳

CalliopePlantain · 01/12/2025 19:09

@VikingNorthUtsire did you already use the Levi’s hack? You could realistically get a T-shirt, pants and socks for a few £ if you sign up to their red tab and add your birthday as tomorrow.

Has anyone seen any bargains that would make a suitable secret Santa for an unknown teenage boy please? Can't be clothing unfortunately unless it's one size fits all.

This trio of M&S men’s dupe fragrances are down to £12 and seem popular - there are two fragrance options, I’ve brought a set for my teen’s stocking. It’s hard when you need it to be very general. https://www.marksandspencer.com/fragrance-trio/p/hbp60738240?intid=mobile_app_pdp_share

Probably a glitch but candy kittens are offering advent calendars free (£3.99 postage) and it’s working on the double bundle with code adventforafriend https://candykittens.co.uk/products/advent-calendar-2025-double-bundle

Edited

Worth a try, Thank you! I've got a cheese one ordered, but it's not showing as dispatched yet so I'm not too hopeful it will arrive at all, so even if this is cancelled it's worth a punt!

Could anyone recommend a jigsaw brand on Amazon please as I have hurt my foot and want to avoid the shops! We always buy dmil a new one - she’s pretty good so needs to be tough enough.
I had a look but there’s so many! Thank you.

Great ones in Hobbycraft at around half price. Have just bought one in RL as part of my son in law's present.

Does anyone have any recommendations for nice chai tea? I got my BIL some Teapigs loose chai last year, so wanted to try something different this year! Are individual bags better? Or does loose seem more "premium" do you think?

Loose leaf seems more premium but actually I really like the Teapigs pyramids, they make a lovely moose-leaf quality brew without the faff!

Any recommendations for a interactive Robot toy to suit a five year old please

What about Botley? He’s a coding robot and lots of fun.

@EvilHerbivore If you sign up for Kids Pass for £1 for the first month, they do half price Vue tickets and snacks. You need to buy the vouchers and then redeem them on the Vue website. Then you can cancel the Kids Pass straight he away.

Smellslikeperfume · 01/12/2025 20:25

Can anyone recommend somewhere to get JPG le male aftershave for a good price ? My find today was This Works sleep sets - one for £8 as a nice little gift. Think it’s soon ending though. Direct from This Works
