All time favourite Christmas song..

Whilst putting my tree’s up today and listening to Christmas music I got to thinking about my all time favourite Christmas song. This year I had Ring Out, Solstice Bells on repeat basically the whole time I decced the front room, what a fantastic tune!

Now I’m in no way a Cliff Richard fan (mind you I love Wired for Sound too) but it’s Saviours Day for me. It’s the whistle-y bit that does it for me 🤣

My fave carol is ‘I Saw Three Ships’ the words really bring amazing imagery to mind.. 😍😍

Killing in the Name - Rage Against the Machine. Remember driving home to my parents in 2009 and being very pleased it had knocked Justin Bieber off the top spot for the Christmas number one. And frankly it's more relevant today than ever.

I believe in Father Christmas by Greg lake, used to be fairytale of New York which is still a firm second but I just love I believe in Father Christmas.

I really like that newish one by Ed Sheeran and Elton John. Can’t remember the name but makes me feel really Christmassy.

More traditionally you can’t beat Mariah or Wham.

Judy Garland, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.

It’s not exactly my favourite but Judy Garland’s version of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas takes me right back to Christmas 2020.

Someday soon we all will be together, if the fates allow. Until then we’ll have to muddle through somehow

I have a few that I really like.

'Santa got run over by my Chevy' by Manic Hispanic is funnier than 'Grandma got run over by a reindeer', imho. Same tune, different vibe.

I love the Bob Dylan Christmas song too.
