This post is a work in progress and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!
If you have any referral links then please post on this thread:

Thank you for highlighting BlokusTrigon has been reduced. I had completely forgotten that I had promised to buy that for SIL
For dens, we never had a kit, just a couple of old sets of curtains (not lined ones - they were too heavy), various other bits of material & blankets, pegs and then a couple of those extendable washing line props.

PotofPens1 · 17/11/2025 12:41

For outdoor stuff, how about something picnic related, with special snacks to put into your new picnic box.
Potion making stuff
Mud kitchen was popular for us
scavenger hunt game
I'd also suggest looking on 'hippy' kids store websites, things like babipur etc

gofindit too The original outdoor nature scavenger hunt card game for kids and families Age 3+ Travel pocket game (Original) : Amazon.co.uk: Toys & Games

Apologies if it's already been asked, but what apps are everybody using to keep track of gifts etc please? I usually just stick to a notepad but I keep losing them 🙃

Also thank you to everyone who has previously raved about the Rapesco tape dispensers - I get it now. I gave in and invested in a very pretty pink one recently and the only regret I have is not getting one sooner!

13goingon31 · 17/11/2025 12:59

DD is after the ted baker raspberry and orange blossom body spray but it's been discontinued :(
Does anyone know if any are still being sold or if something like eBay would be my best bet?

Had a quick look and couldn't seem to find it on Google but found this lovely looking set on Vinted? https://www.vinted.co.uk/items/7577086060-ted-baker-little-beauties-gift-set-cosmetic-bag-body-wash-lotion-spray-new

I think eBay and vinted would be your best bets though

I use Santa’s bag and have done for years. It’s great. You can archive the year when you’ve finished and then go back and look at previous years too to see what you’ve bought people.
Easy to set up with people you buy for and you can add a budget if needed. Also good to keep track of things you’ve ordered but haven’t arrived yet and you can add a pin to stop prying eyes!

I have a bottle of this that is unwanted. Bought for DD and has been tested once, but she prefers more masculine scents. If you PM me your address I'll pop it in the post for you.

I was impressed by the prices on HP for branded laptop bags / school bags. I got DD a new backpack for just over £10 (postage was free!) with the code BF20 (20% off). This was cheaper than Temu and better made!

Gift List is great (and free). Used it for 3 years now.

Has anyone got/used a towel warmer? I’m really stuck what to get my in-laws this year, and can’t decide if this is a good idea or not.

Bobbysmumma · 17/11/2025 13:53

Anyone know the best iPad deals please?? Rubbish at these sort of things but my DC wants the iPad 11 I think they said! Thank you

ChristmasJumperz · 17/11/2025 14:00

@BeeKeeping Mine loved this savenger game though it's looking a tad pricey now for what it is www.amazon.co.uk/gofindit-original-outdoor-scavenger-families/dp/B00NB1ICMI?th=1

We bought ds2 the 2025 iPad (I don’t understand numbers) on very with the 20% new customer discount on credit accounts. We’ve also got him the pencil as they had that too. It’s definitely worth a look on there.

niknaks1989 · 17/11/2025 14:23

Fifa 26 on ps5 in argos.. £38.

Solmum1964 · 17/11/2025 14:24

I'm only three quarters of the way through thread 9 so sorry if someone else has provided this deal. @Theraffarian mentioned various ways of getting cheap cinema tickets for Wicked. Don't forget you can get 2 for 1 cinema tickets on Tuesdays and Wednesdays through Meerkat Movies - you just need to buy one days travel insurance for around £1 to get this offer for a whole year (if you haven't already got it by buying other insurance through Compare The Market).
Another offer between Cineworld and Tesco, for Tuesday screenings (all films), you can purchase a £5 Clubcard ticket (2D and 3D) or £8 superscreen. The price of this ticket includes the booking fee. You can buy up to 4 tickets per transaction on this offer. You just need to exchange £2.50 (or £4) of Clubcard vouchers for each ticket you need. This offer cannot be used with the Meerkat movie deal.

Another vote for Gift List here, I’ve also used it for a few years now and it’s great.

EUFY - have several Black Friday early offers (Robot Hoovers/Security Lights / Breast Pumps/Smart Scales etc) - but they also have some discounted gift cards
(£120 for £100, £380 for £300 etc) - set number each day so they may have already all give for today now.

So I've managed to get a new Robot Hoover for £122 - with possibly £11 Topcashback still hopefully to follow. The L60 is down to £142 - but I got a gift card for £120 for £100 first.

Little one only wants LANKYBOX SQUISHIES for Christmas

The Range and Wilko sell them cheap for £1 something but no where near me, or infact miles around have them in stock and they dont do home delievery. Everywhere else they are £5 each

Does anybody know anywhere else that sells them as cheap as Wilko & the Range?

Many thank

what's the football kit websites please, suddenly had a request for one, adult size. Thanks

Merrow · 17/11/2025 15:31

Any reviews of the Argos shop/theatre? DS2 has asked Santa for a shop. The £25 price tag is appealing, but he is very into role play so I'm anticipating it getting a lot of use, so happy to pay more if it's not that robust.
