This post is a work in progress and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!
If you have any referral links then please post on this thread:

I’m not getting any discount on asos for the Elemis so code possibly has ended?

Talisin · 17/11/2025 10:50

25% off all the everyday and mini pouches at Elizabeth Scarlett until midnight Thursday with code EARLY25.

FurForksSake · 17/11/2025 10:54

My gruum order arrived. I took some photos. The room spray is pretty strong but smells quite nice! The plum and tonka is quite seasons. Overall, decent! They have some other freebies for postage on the site, but can’t find this bundle now. It was posted on a previous thread.

The rapesco heavy duty tape dispenser is down to £7.25 on amazon. Hoping this changes my wrapping game!

It went down to £2.97 last year on BF. Amazon's BF offers start this Thursdsay, so might be worth keeping an eye if you want another one for home / work / a gift (I bought a 2nd one last year to keep elsewhere in the house),

Thanks for the FC 26 heads up @Duckyneedsaclean - is on DC's list so have ordered.

For anyone who is eyeing a Dreamland heated throw while they're on offer on the Dreamland site, this code will get you an extra 15% off (works on sale items as well as full price): 1SPECIAL15. I just got the Hygge faux fur zebra print throw for £42.50 and the large tartan Sherpa blanket for £51.

redjoker · 17/11/2025 11:46

SOCIAL10 gets you another 10% off the sale in modainpelle

Sorry to hijack but I’d be interested if you have anything that’s brightly coloured rather than traditional red and green? We switched to bright decs a few years back but I didn’t buy stockings then and there’s not many options now!!

From memory I think that there are some silver ones with a bright turquoise trim.

If you want something really bright there is a seller on ebay with stockings made out of African fabric.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a 4 and 6yo- my internal ‘theme’ for presents this year is OUTDOORS IS FUN FGS. Dragging them out is an absolute challenge. So far I’m thinking stuff to build a tree house (rope ladder/buckets pullies etc) and maybe some big truck tires to roll down the hill? We have a forest! We have a field! Why won’t they bloody play outside?!! 😭

We have this which is helpful - provides prompts for things to do when we’re out of ideas https://shop.nationaltrust.org.uk/busy-ideas-for-bored-kids-outdoor-edition.html

Also do you have garden tools for them? Maybe a magnifying glass and bug catcher? Our bug catcher gets lots of use by us too 😂 Could go with some stepping stools or outside games like boules?

@BeeKeeping how about a mud kitchen?

Londonmummy66 · 17/11/2025 12:04

A bit dull but Mitre Linen have 50% off some of their range for Black Friday - quality is good as you'd expect from a Royal warrant holder. Might be useful if you need to buy for a young person off to uni next year.

LabubuLover · 17/11/2025 12:08

Can anyone please help recommend a den building set? I’d be happy to go up to £150ish, for 2 kids (3 and 7). I’ve looked at the ones with balls and sticks, but I’m not sure they are sturdy enough/easy enough to use. I’ve looked at the cardboard ones, like Make-A-Fort but can’t find many legit reviews. Please help!

UrbanMage · 17/11/2025 12:16

Stupidly late to the (Xmas) party this year. DD is sorted but no one else. I get my parents national trust membership so that's a rolling gift.

I'm looking for a decent but reasonable electric heat pad. Not for a gift, but for me (hello chronic pain!). Any recommendations would be welcome.

Also, if you have people who like cute, handmade clat earrings, I would love to recommend Forever Green Jewellery as the owner is lovely and I always get compliments about her designs when I wear them.

It sounds a bit worthy, but litter picking things have been a great success here! DS1 even got a Blue Peter badge out of it. Walkie talkies are a mixed bag - good when they work, but unexpectedly fiddly sometimes.

Howisitnovember · 17/11/2025 12:20

Just had an email to say £15 off a min £20 spend on just eat for groceries

mummydoris2006 · 17/11/2025 12:22

@BravoBuild I bought some for DD19 with her dogs face on from Shein for about £2.50 in the Summer and they're still going strong if that helps at all.

We used to live by a street that had lots of fabric shops and I really recommend just getting a collection of lots of different fabric types and lengths and some clips from a DIY store. We've had years of use from it and it's much faster to put up than the fiddly stick and ball approach. Probably not as visually impressive as a present though!

MydeamonsanOstrich · 17/11/2025 12:30

Blokus and Blokus Trigon are £12.99 on Amazon today.
