Posting on behalf of the lovely @Reastie

This post is a work in progress and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread:

Mariah will be singing All I want for Christmas before we know it, and it's only 46 days until Christmas, so let's get those bargains, folks!

Have I missed the 20% off Tesco gift vouchers??

If anyone is interested in the M&S beauty advent calendar check your sparks offers, I’ve got one for 25 % off and no minimum purchase. It doesn’t show until you check out and normal delivery charges apply if you’re not spending more than £60.

Well, despite being sure I wasn’t getting the M&S calendar this year I was sucked in by this deal! Thank you for spotting it. Somehow managed to get free standard delivery too. I have also ordered the Superdrug Revolution advent calendar for my teen at 25% off, so £24, also with free delivery (if anyone else is looking). Just need to find a deal on a Lego one and I’ll be sorted!

@Blessedbethefruitz thank you ever so much

I'm going to try the same thing tomorrow, perhaps ring round the independent toy stores near me. I think it's a toy as PP says, from about 4yrs ago, so there are zero new ones about.

I'm usually all for second hand, but for completely illogical reason, a pre-used shitting flamingo gives me a bit of the ick.

And yes, I concur, this is a low point.

I’m pretty sure I have a fairly intact Flamingo and all bits that go with it bar the box.
As I recall it shat once on Christmas morning and it has never been looked at or felt an urge since.

I will look, it may have been donated, but if I have it, and you want it, I’ll be happy to send it to you. It’ll be Sunday probably before I’ll have time to look - you may well be sorted with a new one by then 💩🦩💩

SpamIAm · 14/11/2025 22:38

I don’t recall any fluids being involved with the flamingo. You just feed it the powder and it shits it out (with much effort).

Hello all - I do enjoy this ongoing thread for suggestions and have picked up some great ideas over the years!

This year I’m looking for any recommendations on:

A hoverboard for DS9 (have seen one in smyths but wondering whether to chance from a random online supplier that would be cheaper? Anybody bought one before and thought it was decent?)

a watch that you can make phonecalls to and from for kids WITHOUT needing a smartphone

aaaand ideas for a 3YO boy? He’s already got a balance bike, a hot wheels garage, loads of Lego, lots of arty stuff and stuff inherited from big bro so struggling a bit for ideas!

thank you all for any suggestions x

AndSoFinally · 14/11/2025 22:41

Not sure if someone has already posted but 20% off Very if you sign up to their credit account. It’s on a lot of electrical, including AirPods and Meta Quest, but not everything (not switch or PS5 from memory)

However, you don’t actually have to buy anything in credit, the code still works if you open an account and then pay it upfront

I’ve just got the 512 gb meta 3 for £375 down from £469, and noise cancelling AirPods for £135 down from £169

In addition to my post to 25% off of New Look gift cards, I have just seen New Look have 25% off of (almost!) everything on their website so some bargains to be had!

do you have a link, please? thanks

Re: Audible BF offer

I rang Audible tonight and asked where my special offer was as a loyal customer 😹

They told me I couldn’t cancel and rejoin to get the offer.

As compensation for not getting the lovely offer, Audible gave me half price membership for the next three months. I thought this was fair enough.

Obviously there is nothing to stop me cancelling or pausing my current subscription and joining again with a new account and email to get the offer, but I couldn’t be bothered.

Thought I would mention it on here in case anyone else was interested/having more luck negotiating a discount.

I decided to cancel my audible subscription a little while back. I did this via the app...before I confirmed cancel it offered me 3 months half price. Only takes a minute, don't need to speak to anyone, so prob worth doing just to get the reduced cost for a few months. I took the offer and then cancelled.

hugsandpugs · 14/11/2025 23:43

@ChristmasJumperz thanks so much for the revolution info!

Some great offers on there - I managed to get the bath and body gift sets you mentioned 😊 one in caramel and the other in cherry.
Then 2 aftershaves, 1 perfume, their pro miracle cream (which is fab!) and also a free blush duo for £30 delivered! ❤️

Is the flamingo constipated ?

this is the link to the gift cards (sorry it’s 20% not 25% I miss remembered!). The 25% off almost everything is automatically applied on the website on New Look, there is no code

There is a £5 bonus on Quidco when you spend £25. Some exclusions, and only available for first 10,000 that opt in.
let’s be honest, most of us are shopping pretty regularly now so it would be a nice little addition to whatever cashback you got anyway!

For the 3 year old, magnet tiles are a huge win in my house, I am getting my little boy some Jigsaws as that seems to have peaked his interest in recent weeks, I've ordered this pattern Drill kit which looks good and he loves tools and it has a voucher to £14ish (even if an older brother had it i bet its missing parts haha) https://amzn.eu/d/fiSar7x

I'm sorry, but this did make me laugh.
May I suggest a a thread title contender @Reastie : 'The One With The Shitting Flamingo'

Ahahaha I second this one for next title 🤣 @FortnumsWeddingBreakfastTeaPlease i feel your pain on this my dd circled this in a magazine and is obsessed, like why would anyone want a shitting flamingo?! These kids are wild 🫣🤣

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 15/11/2025 07:09

Whistlefish have 18 for £10 on their christmas cards this weekends and this includes the luxury ones (which are £3 each)

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 15/11/2025 07:18

I think we are going to get switches this year in an attempt to lure them from YouTube on car journeys. I am absolutely useless with all technology so wondering if anyone had opinions on models and also where is most likely to have a good offer on them? Thank you

This would be great but it won’t let me opt in. Thank you though for mentioning

Montanna15 · 15/11/2025 07:31

Next have sent me a email with £10 off a £25 spend on the next app. Comes straight off at the checkout. I assume it won't be every account though!

Elpheba · 15/11/2025 08:11

I came onto share about whistlefish too, BEAUTIFUL cards and free delivery over £25 so I usually buy my whole year of cards this time of year! Have ordered 18 Christmas ones and then done 2 lots of the 10 for £10 pick your own- so all birthdays hopefully accounted for.
