I'm going to try the same thing tomorrow, perhaps ring round the independent toy stores near me. I think it's a toy as PP says, from about 4yrs ago, so there are zero new ones about.

I'm usually all for second hand, but for completely illogical reason, a pre-used shitting flamingo gives me a bit of the ick.

And yes, I concur, this is a low point.

@nothingtoseehereatallwith Urban Outfitters, it’s best to subscribe to them and then they will send you the latest discount codes —all the time—. Sadly they usually exclude the joggers but sometimes they do do a site wide one and then you have to cross your fingers and hope that the joggers are in stock in the size you want.
If you do get them, do wash them inside out and at no more than 30 degrees as otherwise they do go a bit funny, mottled almost.

Re: Audible BF offer

I rang Audible tonight and asked where my special offer was as a loyal customer 😹

They told me I couldn’t cancel and rejoin to get the offer.

As compensation for not getting the lovely offer, Audible gave me half price membership for the next three months. I thought this was fair enough.

Obviously there is nothing to stop me cancelling or pausing my current subscription and joining again with a new account and email to get the offer, but I couldn’t be bothered.

Thought I would mention it on here in case anyone else was interested/having more luck negotiating a discount.

Does it need to be brand new? There seem to be loads on Facebook marketplace near me. You could always put it in a nice box/gift bag?

I usually wouldn't be precious, but I'm not sure how I feel about a second hand one. Perhaps because there's fluid involved. Bleurgh.

There are many second hand ones, I can only imagine what a 15 minute wonder this ridiculous toy is.

Ah thank you! She already has one pair, they haven’t actually lasted badly considering the use so I guess they aren’t too bad value from that perspective :) I managed to get them at 15% off and free delivery last Xmas so hoping I can find similar!

For anyone stuck for family or shared presents, a waffle maker might be a good idea. I’ve just spent the evening reading/watching lots of reviews - and plumped for the Breville one from Amazon. It says it’s reduced, £35.
