Posting on behalf of the lovely @Reastie

This post is a work in progress and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread:

Mariah will be singing All I want for Christmas before we know it, and it's only 46 days until Christmas, so let's get those bargains, folks!

Has anyone had their Look Fantastic cashback tracked incorrectly. I spent £133 and only got £5 odd cash back. Two of the items were from Christmas gifting that was advertised as 60% cash back 😡

Beingacatbed · 14/11/2025 16:07

@nothingtoseehereatall I have a 10% off code of any good? Can pm it to you if interested.

Yes my birthday is on the 26th x

Privateeyedriver · 14/11/2025 16:42

Viva Brazil restaurants have 40% off their gift vouchers. Great for Christmas gifts can add a message and print off a nice voucher to give

Thank you for the heads up on the Echo dot bargains, I only really wanted 1, but 2 will come in useful when I eventually get my house sold and have my own space.

I know people in here have used a bargain football shirt supplier, but can't rememeber what it was, does anyone have a link please? Many thanks!

Some bargains:

EE have Beats for £98 and the Pro ones for £148 (saving of £200!) in their Black Friday sale.

New Look vouchers have 25% off at Tesco(physical voucher or e-voucher).

Wow. Thank you

PearlTeapot · 14/11/2025 17:12

Hope this doesn't offend anyone but I always thought Aliexpress was a fakes website? ie jellycats are a quid on there etc. So are the Rolife ones genuine??

Also if someone could link to a brilliant starter kit I'd be grateful, not too fiddly, I'd like to try one! Thank you :)

Statsinyoureyes · 14/11/2025 17:19

Have lost track so sorry if this has been said, but gruum ve got some half price gift sets right now. I ordered the bath one for my mum and it's arrived and looks - and smells - amazing!

FortnumsWeddingBreakfastTeaPlease · 14/11/2025 17:20

Please help, oh bargain hive...

I need a discontinued shitting flamingo. Which DS has seen somehow and is the only thing he's asking Father Christmas for. I have suggested maybe they aren't around anymore and, of course, "it doesn't matter mummy, Father Christmas can make anything"

They seem to start at £50. For something I am loathed to even buy in the first place.

Can anyone find one, new, in stock for a more acceptable amount?...

It is mainly a fakes/cheap generics website, but they have some brilliant stuff, and only £8 for free shipping. Im waiting on 2x 80cm pokemon that will require stuffing on arrival tonight, the kids gifts to each other 😅 Maybe it's the stuff I buy (diy/organisation or kid stuff), but it's by and large excellent. Get the odd dudd but they're free returns with royal mail. I wouldn't buy anything for a baby/toddler, anything fiddly for kids, or anything that contains batteries or magnets.

Are you in the SE? I think they had these on clearance at our local toy shop. My son was desperate for one a year or 2 ago but we've fortunately moved past it 😁 Im in town tomorrow and can check?

Could he be persuaded towards a pooing giraffe? They seem to have replaced the flamingos... https://www.argos.co.uk/product/7517163

IlovePond · 14/11/2025 17:46

@LoopyGremlin - I don’t think the offer on LF can work at 60% cashback if you’ve put other stuff on your order that isn’t the special Christmas tagged stuff.

The t&c are not at all clear but that’s what I think.

I was debating doing an order, but would be miffed if I somehow failed the criteria and I don’t need anything from their Xmas tagged stuff. Also, what is included needs to be made clearer imo!

I am in that neck of the woods indeed. If you wouldn't mind looking I would very much appreciate it x

Alas no.

And thank you to the posters highlighting "Frankie the funky flamingo" but it's all about the toilet it seems.

I need the fittingly alliterative "Sherbet"

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 14/11/2025 17:56

@FortnumsWeddingBreakfastTeaPlease I'd do a camelcamelcamel watch on it. Amazon's own price history seems to think it was about £41 a month ago. (I know that's still not bargainous but even £10 off helps a little)

I'm sorry, but this did make me laugh.
May I suggest a a thread title contender @Reastie : 'The One With The Shitting Flamingo'

supersun23 · 14/11/2025 18:03

Hi, I'm looking for a small hug a lumps capybara? Anyone seen one?

toooldforbrat · 14/11/2025 18:05

specific request , but more boring than a shitting flamingo.

looking for a jigsaw board, big enough for 1000 piece jigsaw and one that folds & sits at an angle rather than flat.

on Amazon about £50 but Temu have some at £20.

Anyone any recommendations? Any views on the Temu versions?

Christmaschristmas · 14/11/2025 18:07

Apologies if this has already been mentioned, but for elf orders, if you Google elf birthday gift, you can add the birthday gift for £1.01.

It's a mini Thirst Burst drops and lipstick 💄

SpamIAm · 14/11/2025 18:09

@FortnumsWeddingBreakfastTeaPleaseif I could persuade my daughter to give hers up I’d let you have it, but she’s determined to keep it despite having not played with it for years. It’s just sat on the toilet on her window sill for years.

Someone bought it for her in 2021. We also got covid from our Christmas Day gathering. Working from home whilst really ill, with two young kids, listening to a grunting, shitting flamingo next to me was really a low point.

Pixie2015 · 14/11/2025 18:09

The shitting flamingo is now a giraffe would be a great thread title 😂
