Posting on behalf of the lovely @Reastie

This post is a work in progress and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread:

Mariah will be singing All I want for Christmas before we know it, and it's only 46 days until Christmas, so let's get those bargains, folks!

@cymrumam I use Once Upon A Plan UK on Etsy for reveals, I’ve just ordered a National Trust membership reveal card for my parents but there’s all sorts on the shop or you can just go for a generic Christmas design and have your gift details added.

Last year I got Disney reveal tickets for the kids for Disneyland Paris and they do trip planners as well which make great gifts if you know anyone planning a Disney trip!

Has anyone spotted anything brilliant on Amazon haul today? I’ve been trying to avoid but it’s got me tempted with all the discounts

HouseWithASeaView · 12/11/2025 20:00

ProViz (reflective sports wear which is brilliant for this time of year) have a 20% discount

STom2 · 12/11/2025 20:00

1litre bottle of Tanqueray down to £20 on Amazon (says from £29).

They did and I have. They are the superior kind - and also luckily for me and paramount - I am the only one in my entire house who likes them.

They also had the normal - and mint and caramel but ewww.

Edited

Oh I have to disagree about the mint! They are gorgeous. I scoffed a whole one (accidentally!) in one sitting last year. Ooops!

STom2 · 12/11/2025 20:20

Does anyone have any idea if Onitsuka Tiger ever do Black Friday discounts? Or if there's any other UK retailers that sell them? Insanely expensive here. DH previously bought when in Japan at a much better price and now has a taste for them /needs to replace them 😂

Refurbished Shark on eBay have an extra 30% off on selected items, including hair care and vacuums.

Oh yes I swear by shark and other major brands refurbished. We’ve always had basically new ones sent.

FurForksSake · 12/11/2025 20:31

Took me a moment to realise Shark meant the cleaner people and not just sharks with their fins taped back on.

Really random but your all good at finding stuff!
I need a night light or bedside lamp that can dim for my nearly 4 year old. It needs to be brighter than a gro egg or Yoto light. It must be a plug in (not battery operated, only rechargeable if it can stay plugged in all the time) and have a cord not directly into the plug socket.
Ideally a design that will appeal to a 4 year old but the above is more important.
Any ideas?
Found one in Ikea but not available in the 2 stores near me and only available for large deliveries annoyingly

Cuwins · 12/11/2025 20:50

Don’t want to spend more than about £30-40 and no usb sockets on it

Can you share the example of what you mean as I’m struggling to follow the specification!

This is the ikea one- not rechargeable or batteries, just plug in and turn on!

also happy with a bedside table light that dims but again not recharge/batteries and no usb sockets

Does anyone else know when the Kevin the Carrot stuff goes on sale All i can find is details from last year

Cuwins · 12/11/2025 20:59

I don’t know if I’m just searching the wrong thing as I thought it would be easy to find.

Knackerelli · 12/11/2025 20:59

STom2 DD loves those trainers too, she’s got several pairs from Vinted if that’s an option?

Obsessingoverchristmas · 12/11/2025 21:01

@Trumpton its a great deal isnt it! I would also be interested in knowing if you can use the deal while collecting online order or if you need to spend more in store. I have an order to collect next week and was given the option at check out but rushed past it. @WimbyAce @AmazingBees I've gotten some really nice boardgames from there with this deal before. I was browsing the other day and seem to remember they also had those huge crackers with stationary etc in (although I know you can often get them for about £7 anyway)

Is this any good? https://amzn.eu/d/a3vzBue
Can't find the exact one I have but this was suggested as similar. Different levels of brightness on the white then can do colours too

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 12/11/2025 21:12

Definitely not a bargain @Cuwins but something like this?

Tiger light

It’s rechargeable and a lot of rechargeable things say you can’t just leave them plugged in all the time which is what we would need to do

Slightly more than I wanted to pay but that’s perfect. So will definitely consider it

Thanks. I saw that but it was the rechargeable that concerned me so that’s good to hear
