We bought a galaxy projector from Amazon. It plugs into the mains and has the option for just stars, planets or a northern lights style effect. It’s not dimmable as such but the options vary from bright to minimal and muted so you can easily find the right balance.
It has the option of soothing sounds/ music too. It comes with a remote which we leave on a shelf by the door so we can turn it off or reset it so it when we go to bed so it stays on until morning. We’ve had it for a year and DS7 still loves it.
The version we got was the PIKOY Galaxy Star projector with 180 modes currently at £33.97.

I looked at projectors but I think she will find it too exciting and it might keep her awake!

I had done a click and collect on an unboxing Barbie and when I picked it up was offered the £5 deal. I did not know about it beforehand and was astonished to find a £25 Barbie in the £5 deal!

@Cuwins you can buy a plug to attach into the end of a USB, that way you can still choose a usb lamp.

@Cuwins how about something like this? My two children have one each in their rooms, have had them since they were babies and eldest is now 7. The actual penguin is dimmable and the egg has three light settings to and can be quite bright if you want it to be!

I tend to size down with nike. Half a size . Am a 5 everywhere else, but nike is 4.5. Can also get away with juniors so keep this in mind as also cheaper that way

Oh really ah okay that’s good to know, how do you work out your size in juniors? (Sorry if I’m being thick)

I am a size 5 in adult and juniors with all other brands. When I ordered nikes I had to send them back and order 4.5. Same with my kids. If you're spending a lot, is probably best to try on in a shop, and then look online for cheaper, incuding topcashback. The type they want seems to be more expensive typically, like my kids, but see if they prefer the dunks or airforce 1 when trying on, to tempt them toward the cheaper styles maybe too
