Posting on behalf of the lovely @Reastie

This post is a work in progress and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread:

Mariah will be singing All I want for Christmas before we know it, and it's only 46 days until Christmas, so let's get those bargains, folks!

Want to get an Armani aftershave but struggling to know which sites are authentic, I don’t want to buy a rip off version

Full size Gruum advent calendar for £50, is worth £260. Also includes a free satin pillowcase!

www.gruum.com/offer/advent-calendar/?gcid=6366955&utm_campaign=de_advent_send1111&utm_medium=Email_Campaign&utm_source=Direct_Emails_One_Off

Is this for men?

John Lewis are legit @CAMHShelp

Someone was asking (last thread?) about photo printing discounts? I’ve just done an order for photo calendars through Photobox for Christmas presents and then got a mail drop with some better discounts 🤦‍♀️.

Ive used Photobox for years and the quality is the best I’ve found.

HOLIDAYCHEER25 gives 50% off a £30 spend or 60% off a £60 spend. Or MYCALENDAR gives 45% off calendars when you spend £20.

Thanks, I have a few things to get from there. Was waiting for Black Friday

nothingtoseehereatall · 12/11/2025 15:28

I feel like Gruum is one of those sites/ companies where they always hype up some offer as being huge bargain, but actually it's pretty much always that price. I checked and their calendar was £50 last year. Which doesn't mean it's not good, just as a FYI really.

for plouise this code gets us both 500 points, through refer a friend, not sure if it will stack or not? https://prz.io/X5Aea0ofK

This should really be on the referral thread, it's bad form to put in in here.

Famousthehero · 12/11/2025 15:31

I’ve seen a code on Instagram for Photobox - valid on photo books and calendars: 55% off with DAISY25 (not sure of restrictions - it’s on muddlethroughmummy account)

If you spend £10 in The Entertainer ten you can chose a toy from the stand near the till for £5.
I ordered
https://www.thetoyshop.com/dolls/fashion-dolls/Barbie-Pet-Party-Blonde-Unboxed-Doll/p/572597?queryId=3d484bd831188f6dc19a986587823577

online for click and collect and got a £25 Barbie for £5!

So £15 instead of £50!

I wonder if this is nationwide as can't see anything about it. What other toys did they have?

All Beauty are a good site and have offers on Armani aftershaves at the moment. I've bought quite a bit from there recently, with no problem whatsoever.

I can pm you a referral code which might get an extra 10% off for you - their codes tend to stack quite well.

@Delahotyour mum might also like a belt hot water bottle. I got one from Dunelm last year and love it. It is a hot water bottle attached to a fleecey thick belt with Velcro which wraps around. I wear it with the hwb bit at the front. I noticed that one of the period pants brands (Wuka I think) do one which is, I think, bottle all of the way around (if that makes sense)

@Delahot Matalan have a hot water bottle belt in grey faux fur for £12 in their Black Friday sale. You might need a Matalan card. I'm not sure

Trumpton · 12/11/2025 16:02

@WimbyAce

I did not know about it until the cashier told me when I did click and collect. It was a range of toys near the till quite a mixed range.
I googled and found a fb post about it from September and also this …

Seems a little published thing!

Sorry, i wasnt aware

IlovePond · 12/11/2025 16:26

@CAMHShelp - I would say GRUUM could be unisex, but please be aware that a lot of their stuff - imo - has a very vegetable oil/almost off smell to it. It’s one of those companies whose products some people like, but a lot of people don’t. (I personally don’t mind their lavender sleep/calm spray, but that’s about it for me.)

I agree with previous posters re: price - GRUUM claim to have discounted their stuff but it’s always either heavily discounted, (i.e. it’s that price 99% of the time, but they say it’s reduced), or, in the case of the smaller sets, given away free with just P&P to pay. (Presumably they sell stuff at the higher price just long enough to be able to advertise the reductions.)

Re: Your other query

I second Allbeauty.com - it’s an excellent and legitimate site. Look Fantastic can be good too, (I don’t know if they stock Armani perfume), and it’s always worth checking TKMAXX.

I would personally stay away from eBay or Amazon for perfume as there are too many fakes around online.

ChristmasMad1 · 12/11/2025 16:29

Does anyone know where I can get some cheap syrups for coffees? My DD has started drinking flavoured coffees and loves any flavoured coffee, but don't want to shell out a lot if it just a phase

imnottoofussed · 12/11/2025 16:36

From my own experience I find tkmaxx is often a bit more expensive for perfumes or aftershaves than other online retailers so worth just doing a google and then checking trustpilot for the site you find cheapest

everything else at tkmaxx is usually a bargain

Home Bargains and B&M usually have the standard flavours like vanilla or caramel pretty cheap, TK Maxx have a good range with more unusual flavours but probably a bit more expensive

DH likes the Madagascar vanilla and toffee syrups from home bargains they used to be £1 but I think they're slightly more now but still good price.

RunningKatie · 12/11/2025 16:48

From my order history I think Photobox has gone to 70% for Black Friday, it's been 50% for a good few weeks now. I'm holding my nerve for now! I ordered last year on 17th Nov.

Morrisons have all flavours of Terry's chocolate oranges at £1.25.

Did you happen to notice if they have the dark choc ones? 🙏 They're getting harder to find and only seem to be £2+ everywhere
