I don't often visit B & M so maybe everyone apart from me knows this, but they have duplicates of the M&S light up candles for £5 . Same size , similar wrap round the side . M & S one smelt lovely last year but at £10 didn't last long and the wick ended up being swallowed up by the melted wax . These smelt of similar fragrances but not as strong .

@Sasha07 Haha, I have one teen (14) one near teen (12) and one (8). I usually stay up until they’re all in bed as I know the eldest will sneak on his phone and stay up til god knows what time otherwise 😅🤣 I like the last hour before bed though as I can watch what I wanna watch in peace and quiet ☺️

I am liking the sound of the yellow one based on the responses here! Tropical ish will do 🤣
I’ll keep an eye out for the DKNY! And omg the almond coconut one sounds gorgeous!!
The closest coconutty smelling perfume I’ve managed to find is the M&S edt one and that smells beautiful! Quite a fresh coconut scent rather than a creamy one if that makes any sense 😄

Oh wow - yes we are definitely alike!! 😅 let us know how you get on with the bamboo pillow, I’m getting impatient wanting to try mine 😂

🤣☺️ I remember that golden hour like it was yesterday! Mine are older teens now, it doesn't get easier, just different stress 😅🤗

So it seems there are two yellow ones, mine is this one and has the tropical vibe, 87.
62 is the caramel one. I didn't know there were different yellow ones, so that must have been confusing 🤣
You're just going to have to get sniffing in real life shopping! Can you send me a link for the M&S EDT please 👀 oh and my pillow was good last night! I usually have to wake up to fold the pillow over for extra height/support but the bamboo one had me comfortable all night 🙌

They also have dupes of their Apothecary 3 wick candles for about a fiver - they’re lovely

You might want to wait another 24 hours. It takes ages for them to unfurl and plump up!

Pillow update! I don’t have a tumble dryer so I just shook and did a light bit of pummeling over about 30 hours. It looked about ‘done’ by last night so I slept on it and it’s a lot more solid than I’m used to (and still feels slightly lumpy) but generally thumbs up!

I’ve had some bam socks my husband bought for me last year ( I have an issue with seams!) and they’ve unfortunately not lasted well at all. Maybe just me, but they’re not cheap so thought I should give my experience!

Me too, they are great at first but the heels got holes in pretty quickly.

I did buy a single Sock Shop pair from TKMaxx and they have lasted well.

imnottoofussed · 30/10/2025 10:29

Some great products on tkmaxx today for anyone wanting expensive items

diptyque reed diffusers £119.99, rrp £152

penhaligons portraits scent library £21.99, rrp £72

penhaligons eight piece dinky bites £21.99, rrp £46

penhaligons hearts & humbugs £21.99, rrp £72

various perfumes with big discounts

adidas clothing

rituals gift sets

jo loves edp and also a bluebell candle

this is all mostly in the new in today section on tkmaxx. You can also use the search box to find them.

As I’m sure you will, look up the prices elsewhere too but I mostly find tkmaxx is cheaper than other sites.

hugsandpugs · 30/10/2025 11:33

For anyone who likes MooGoo products (I love them!) they have free shipping no minimum spend up until midnight Friday

hugsandpugs · 30/10/2025 11:38

@Sasha07 i thought the toddler years were hard but the teens is something else 🤣

I actually like the sound of both now! 🤪 I love caramel type smells too. Glad to hear the pillow works well! Mine still feels a bit lumpy so debating chucking it in the tumble dryer for a few mins and hoping I don’t wreck it 😂

I’ll attach a photo of the coconut edt, did try and link it but it keeps on taking me to the M&S app 🫣 it’s £10 for a 100ml bottle and lasts ages!

For anyone who likes the SDJ sprays but isn't fussed about brands, the Lidl dupes are £4 a bottle and lovely. I have both and there's very little in it, especially the 62.

My teenage daughter's asked for a mini indoor rebounder (not a spring trampoline). Any ideas how to get a good deal, as they seem very expensive! Decathlon, Amazon have some but quite expensive.

I bought my bungee rebounder from Debenhams of all places, for about £45. They've got a few at the moment on decent offer at similar price

Radio Times - anyone else having problems?
I took out the £2 for 5 issues Radio Times subscription that was posted on one of the previous threads. I requested it to start from week 50 (6th December), which was confirmed by email. I received my first issue this morning! They’d already messaged to say the payment handler has been changed since taking up the offer, and they’ve now changed the whole suscription service from buysubscriptions to Radio Times themselves. You’re supposed to link your subscription on the RT site but all I get when trying this is “oops something has gone wrong” and “my subscriptions” shows no active subscription. I’ve contacted them (RT) with my suscriber number and a copy of my confirmation email asking them to send what I ordered. I definitely don’t want to start the subscription now because otherwise it will end before the Xmas issue which was the main reason I took up the offer. I have a sinking feeling that the next thing will be a charge for a full year’s subscription being taken and I can’t even cancel the subscription because it doesn’t exist!
No reflection on the original poster of the offer, obvs, it is a fabulous offer and I’m hoping the problems can be sorted, just wanted to alert people.

Yalz · 30/10/2025 14:57

Yes, exactly the same problem in that I chose 2 December as the starting date but received my first copy on Tuesday.

I emailed Radio Times on Tuesday with whatever link was on the relevant bit of the website but haven't had a reply yet.

Arewesureitisntbedtime · 30/10/2025 14:58

@discworlddonkey thanks for posting about the Radio Times. I also received an issue today and didn't think anything of it until I read your post. I also wanted it to arrive in December so that the Christmas issue would be included. I have managed to link my subscription to Radio Times and have filled in their contact us form to ask about the start date so will let you know what happens.

Yalz · 30/10/2025 15:00

Rather niche, but there are good reductions on official Cambridge Folk Festival 2024 merch here.

The Cambridge Folk Festival 2025 was cancelled: presumably they had hoped to sell the excess 2024 stuff off then.

T shirts for £5, Hoodies for £10, plus teatowels, waterbottles, note books etc.

Edit - limited stock in some sizes

IDareSay · 30/10/2025 15:52

Just bought one of these Moth Party Packs in Waitrose, £22 for eight different cocktails. They were on a display at the end of the booze aisle.
I’d be delighted to get one of these as a present, individual cans are usually around £4 each, but often on 4 for 3, so not a massive saving but a good easy to wrap present 😄
I can see it available on Waitrose online too.

running2 · 30/10/2025 16:10

The Lego Friends and City advent calendars are £16 each on Amazon and Smyths (20% off).

I've bought one of each for my 11 and 8 year olds but need one for my 14 year old (girl). Any ideas around the same budget? She likes skincare, make up etc but not sure if she'd be happy with a Technics brand one (keep seeing them reduced). Any ideas?!

GiddyDog · 30/10/2025 16:27

@running2 Revolution is decent, more expensive than tecnics but better quality makeup.

GRCP · 30/10/2025 16:32

@IDareSayI’d love this too!

I was trying to find what size the socks were , but in searching I found the same calendar with the longer socks on Temu for £9.56 just in case anyone is going to purchase , still no idea of sizes though !

I’d Temu a wide birth. Never had anything of acceptable quality from there.
