This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

Also at John Lewis, drinks bottles on clearance. Moana £3.25, Frozen £3.50, Stitch £3.50. They also have Cars and Princesses for £6.50 so less bargainous but showing as half price.

Boots currently have 20 per cent off premium beauty if you spend £50. If you spend £50 on Sol de Janeiro, it gives you 20 per cent off and code SOL20 gives you another 20 per cent discount. Plus if you spend £40 on SDJ, you receive a free SDJ pouch with 2 minis and a Boots make up bag.

Is it any good? I’ve only ever seen it recommended for teens, ie that it’s fashionable? That’s an amazing stacking offer!!

MaggieSansoni · 28/10/2025 22:40

My 19 year old daughter loves it. I’ve only used the shower cream/oil which is very nice. I’ve never been able to buy it at 40% discount though and I’m not sure when the offer ends.

I’ve just tried this but there’s no SDJ Pouch in basket, is it only with specific products?

Iconic London have 25% off site wide to celebrate their tenth birthday. There’s also an extra 10% off with code BIRTHDAY.

Sorry it’s BIRTHDAY10. And there’s also a free gift if spending over £40.

MaybeItsJustTimeToStop · 28/10/2025 23:05

@maggiesansoni it's not stacking for me, have a £25 and a £30 SDJ giftset in the basket but it's only allowing SOL20.

Vertbaudet have a 50% off flash sale on. Some children's Christmas clothing included in the sale (just pop Christmas into their search bar).
On their sizing I'd say size up one size as I find they run small.

You have to buy from the products in the premium section in order to get the offer to work. There were 74 SDJ products when I placed my order earlier.

MaybeItsJustTimeToStop · 28/10/2025 23:45

Got it to stack, it doesnt work on the £25 gift boxes but does work on the £30 ones. So 3 x £30 gift sets were £54 instead of £90! Thanks @maggiesansoni

Thank you so much for this. Dd loves Sol de janeiro and I was able to get so much more than I would have done! Lots of points too!

I managed to do this too and have an extra 10% off when spending £25 on my boots advantage card. So would get all 3 sets for £48.60 including the two free gifts! It’s currently sat in my basket and I’m tempted but never tried the products before 😅

MaggieSansoni · 29/10/2025 00:21

Glad you are all managing to get the codes to stack. Yes, definitely worth checking advantage card offers too.

Brace yourself @Liverlybunchofcoconuts as they’re not cheap but they are amazing! It was Nordic socks and I ordered the Arne wool and charcoal set for £60 and used THENORDICS to get £5.99 off (which was a bit more than delivery). Then just after you’ve checked out they offer to add on some more- for me it was a pack of the mountain collection for £19.99 instead of£44.99 so I said yes to that and ended up spending nearly £80 on 13 pairs of socks! But I don’t regret it, they haven’t been off my feet since and seem to be washing well (at low temps and air dried). The charcoal set are actually my least favourite as they’re not as soft but all are delightfully toasty!

How durable are they? I’m willing to spend more as the white stuff advent calendar glitch socks and half price sock shop advent calendar ones have been disappointing. Probably not helped by my size 7s widened by pregnancies but still would like more than 6 months wear.

Elpheba · 29/10/2025 07:10

@Ohladear hmm hard to say- I’ve worn 7 pairs on rotation daily for over 6 weeks and no signs of holes or anything but I never wear just socks, always have house crocs or slippers on which I imagine makes them last longer.

VelvetThunder · 29/10/2025 07:32

Boots have 25% of selected fragrances.
Someone was looking for sauvage, I think this is slightly cheaper than I have seen it previously.

Please tell me about half price sock shop adventure calendar socks. Last year I ordered DH a sock advent calendar from Amazon. After a month of waiting I got a refund. Time was tight so I bought a sock shop one which was really spendy but he did like it. This year DD wanted something similar. I ordered from a different Amazon supplier back in September and, massive surprise, I was refunded yesterday. The sock shop ones are £59.95 which is waaay more than I wanted to spend. She usually gets chocolate, but first year as a student, her halls are boiling so chocolate would melt and this would help stretch the gap between wash days.
Any bargains out there or should I wait it out for a bit longer?

Actually just got a feedback survey from them (Nordic socks uk) with a code for 15% off- THANKYOU15

This is brilliant - thank you for flagging this. Saved over £30 getting two of my daughter's favourites and bagged the free gift.

nothingtoseehereatall · 29/10/2025 10:11

@TheGirlWhoLived i got it for that a few weeks ago, seems to be on pretty permanent mark down. Always worth checking Camel, which suggests it's been that price since August. Not that it's not a good price for a fun game!

Theraffarian · 29/10/2025 10:17

In real life shopping a game called Link Logo was in home bargains for £3.99 , currently £13.99 on Amazon , wouldn’t make a special trip as the stock moves quickly , but maybe worth a look if you are passing .

TheGirlWhoLived · 29/10/2025 10:18

Oh that’s fair enough! I was just browsing for something fun to play on the day. A fiver sounded good to me. Someone wanted £15.99 and there was a shein version for £4.99 so I was quite happy with £5.40 🤣 maybe it’ll sneak down further for Black Friday
