This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

Hope you're all well. I've just put in a big Temu order for stocking bits and bits for work. They gave me £8 off my next order yesterday as two orders I had are arriving late and, when I contacted customer services about something, they also gave me a 20% off voucher, so I saved £20 on my order!

I’m looking to buy a ‘dupe’ for the Velvetiser (can’t justify the £150 price tag!). A couple of people posted on here about similar frothers, I think one was a Lavazza? Must do hot and cold drinks, can anyone help please?

i bought a Salter frother reduced at Tesco the other week and it is my favourite purchase in ages! Makes excellent frothed milk, as well as hot chocolate and cold drinks. V simple to use and to clean. Think it cost £30.

has the free Lancôme eye make up remover ended at Boots? It’s only giving me the hydration set

I think it may have, at midnight or thereabouts. You had to buy 3 items to get it.

Damn! Oh well, at least I still get the gift, as well as £10 off makeup and £10 extra Boots points

Not sure if anyone is after any Spode or Cath Kidston Christmas crockery but they had some lovely bits in TKMaxx today.
The usual Spode plates / bowls / platters.
Lovely Cath Kidston butter dish at £9.99.
Have added photos.

Can I ask roughly where you are?! There is always nothing spode in my tk maxx and I do try to add to my collection each year. Just wondering if it's worth travelling further afield! I am in the south east.

Sadly along way from the South East - but they were putting lots of things out today so maybe worth a look in the next day or two

WimbyAce · 17/10/2025 16:29

Has anyone seen any material Christmas table cloths? I don't really want a plasticky one.

imnottoofussed · 17/10/2025 16:33

Tkmaxx has the spode and cath kidston online but not always every item available at the same time so you have to check the website daily

Some online and they will probably add to it.

Just to note that Boundary outlet do all the cath kidston stuff too if anyone has one nearby. I got a gorgeous Christmas casserole dish last year for less than a third of the RRP.

How do you get £10 off make up and the points?

Notmynameactually · 17/10/2025 18:13

@WimbyAce Have you tried Vinted? I don’t know how to link from the app, but a Jown Lewis one was in my feed there this morning.

Memmemof2 · 17/10/2025 18:14

I'm aware of how painfully boring this is, but I'm on the hunt for a new potato peeler and I thought if anyone would know of one, its you lovely lot. I don't know how many more battles against a potato I can lose 😪

We have had OXO good grips peelers for the last ten + years, we think they're comfy to do lots of peeling and wash well in the dishwasher

Yes, I second that. It’s the best potato peeler there is!

SisSuffragette · 17/10/2025 18:42

Can anyone recommend a lovely dressing gown for my preteen DD please? Not oodie! 🤶

I’ve been using dock and bay hair towels for years, have tried many others but always go back to Dock and Bay, they are definitely the best and well worth paying a bit extra for. Great for taking on holiday or swimming too.

Got one for my mum last year and she was initially skeptical but ended up loving this, was on sale at some point

Yeknom · 17/10/2025 18:48

@SisSuffragettetry Tk Maxx for a Chelsea Peers one - they are so so soft!

Arewesureitisntbedtime · 17/10/2025 18:51

This is our favourite peeler - we have 2 now so when we're both in the kitchen we can get the veg peeled quicker!
