This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

Hope you're all well. I've just put in a big Temu order for stocking bits and bits for work. They gave me £8 off my next order yesterday as two orders I had are arriving late and, when I contacted customer services about something, they also gave me a 20% off voucher, so I saved £20 on my order!

That’s amazing! How did you get two mascaras for £22, I’m still at £40?

I think they are smaller than standard size ones, I just went onto Lancôme make up and sorted by price low to high and they came up that way 😊

Two years ago from links on these very threads I bought ( after many hours checking the Website all times of the day) a box of fab stuff from Boots.
It was something like their ‘bestsellers’ of the year, or their favourite things.
Does anybody know if they are doing anything like it this year? DD still talks about it!

This will be the showstopper christmas beauty box. It usually comes out early November (think it was about 10th last year)

I follow a lot of the beauty threads so am sure to get a heads up there. I've saved your name and will tag you on here as soon as I hear anything.

@Blessedbethefruitz these?

Thanks, but they've got no wings :(

It was the 13th last year and £88. Fantastic value.

Does anyone know if the Dyson airwraps will get a decent Black Friday discount? Also has anyone used one - are they worth it?

I have the original air wrap and I love it. I have long thick wavy hair that hairdressers love and lots of it, it's impossible to do anything quickly with but five minutes wit he my air wrap and I'm done. Best hair investment ever.

Either watch the official Dyson ebay outlet for a refurb ( I got mine there) or keep an eye on boots for offers.

@hugsandpugs for handmade women’s clothing, take a look at Mardy Bum Boutique. They make knickers / pants in all kinds of weird and wonderful fabrics, different shapes, etc. They’re on FB

nothingtoseehereatall · 16/10/2025 08:58

@RainbowZebraWarrior me too please! Teens love Charlotte Tilbury

@Blessedbethefruitz My kids had this castle, I loved it more than them (I adored Ben & Holly). I could have sworn we still had Nanny Plum somewhere but I can't find here. I found these though, which I'd be happy to send you! They don't have wings though (presumably must originally have but long ago lost and tbh I can't even remember them!).

Thank you! I’m not on Facebook but I’ll see if they have any other platforms 😊

Just a reminder for anyone with a Sainsbury's delivery pass, you can now book your Christmas delivery slots. The email says one slot between 20th and 24th but it's letting me book more (it did last year too and both arrived). I'm sticking with one though as I kept worrying my later slot would get cancelled for being against the rules, not worth the stress! 😂

ihavespoken · 16/10/2025 09:10

I've just had an email from Ulster Weavers with a one-off 30% code for bedding, curtains and bathroom stuff if anyone wants it (not sure if we are allowed to post here). It expires tomorrow (thur 17th) and sadly doesn't seem to apply to tea towels / tablecloths otherwise I'd use it myself Grin

May be of use to anyone wanting to get Christmas bedding or something!

Pearlton · 16/10/2025 09:13

Anyone buying for Squishmallows fans this micromallows ferris wheel comes with 20 + squishies instead of the standard 4 in the set for the same price.

That's really kind of you but I already have Ben elf, and the wings are very important to my daughter! Thank you though!

nothingtoseehereatall · 16/10/2025 09:17

@Blessedbethefruitz No worries! I hope you find them - I'm invested now too! - sadly I think the wings are pretty fragile, so second hand ones probably have mostly lost them. I'll keep an eye out just in case I find any other intact ones at home (though presumably, having wings, they'd have flown away... 😉)

Arthien · 16/10/2025 09:33

Has anyone without an Ocado pass managed to book a Christmas slot yet? I can't see any concrete info about when it should be open.

Arthien · 16/10/2025 09:37

Having ordered a new-to-him Frog bike for my eldest, I'm wondering whether his cheapo Lidl Spiderman helmet is going to cut the mustard while he learns to pedal. Does anyone know if they're all much of a muchness for preschool age, or if I should be investing in something a bit more substantial?

imnottoofussed · 16/10/2025 09:47

Lots of drunk elephant on tkmaxx at the moment

also spode Xmas table wear and a lot of cath kidston crockery

also a penhaligons 100ml legacy of Petra £109.99

aporia · 16/10/2025 09:48

I “won” 25% off a Merlin pass (and you seem to be able to add more than one pass to the purchase at the discount price).

I’m not going to be able to use it so if anyone wants to DM me, I’m happy to send you the code.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 16/10/2025 10:20

I've added you to my list @nothingtoseehereatall ☺️

Can anyone help me with the most cost effective way to buy two lego advent calendars? DD and DS will absolutely both want one, and no way will they share! Ideally I'd like one of the lego city ones (doesn't have to be this year's) and a minecraft one, which at full price means about £50. Or two different lego city ones, eg this year and last year.

I can do a new sign up with top cash back which gets me £15 sign up bonus, plus up to 5% cashback at lego. Altogether that would knock off £17.50, which isn't terrible. But can anyone do better?

ihavespoken · 16/10/2025 10:57

Thanks so much to whoever recommended the Harts of Stur clearance section, via topcashback of course - I ordered myself some beautiful Cath Kidston hand-painted glasses for DH to give me for Christmas - they are £12 for a pair and other sites really are charging the full £25 price they are claiming to be reduced from. They have just arrived and I love them so much I feel a little bit sick 😂https://www.hartsofstur.com/cath-kidston-dolly-rose-set-of-2-hiball-glasses-ckx24hiblgls2.html?sv_campaign_id=863943&source=aw&awc=32187_1760608267_82d3c6ce0afbd6a663e8a6a597f6ef89&sv1=affiliate
The design is rosehips but they look quite festive /holly-ish if you squint.

hugsandpugs · 16/10/2025 11:15

For anyone who’s kids are k pop demon hunters fans, these T-shirts are down from £19.99 to £7 til midnight tonight. Come in various colours.

I ordered 3 for DD which would have been £21 without p&p but I also had a £10 off code so got three for £11 ❤️
