Other one seems to be filling up fast!

This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!
If you have any referral links then please post on this thread <a class="break-all" href="https://_[[//https//www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

Lego 3 in 1 cat / dog / pigeon - 2 for £20

RRP I think is £20, but currently on Amazon for £13.99 and then on a 2 for £20 offer. Other items are available on the 2 for £20 but I got two of the Lego for the birthday present stash cupboard.

Not bargainous as such but Waitrose early access Christmas slots are open today.

Wellwhoknewthat · 24/09/2025 13:24

@londonmummy search laredoute toys by brand "hauck" and "hape" or search via Google.
The site search function is terrible

I'm (im)patiently waiting for the netflix deal to change to collectibles, but it seems to be stuck on mugs from yesterday.
What I want is also now on pre-order only (fine because arrival is before Christmas), but makes me slightly nervous they'll sell out!

I have given up buying chocolate on Amazon , quite often the dates aren’t great , but even when they are the chocolate seems to be stored quite badly . Last Christmas I ended up apologising to everyone I had given a box of after eights to as a little gift as when I opened mine the mint inside was solid and the chocolate decidedly not right . They don’t usually accept food returns but will credit your account if the chocolate is out of date ( extremely close to expiry ) if you contact them .

Unfortunately this has happened to chocolate I’ve bought from them too - a different brand. They’ve arrived melted and solidified into a mass, which was embarrassing as the box wasn’t clear and it was only apparently once they were opened by the recipient! I almost bought the HC but checked reviews and someone (from a while back) had the same thing happen so I left it. When I looked back at reviews for the chocolate I previously bought, there were multiple reviews mentioning the same. So it seems that the storage conditions aren’t ideal for chocolate.

Has anyone tried to put through a haul order mine is not taking off the £10 just giving free delivery even on a £30 basket of items from clicking on the banner and not stuff I already had in basket???

Same. I've almost ran out of time on my lunchbreak so I'll have to go back to it later. I'm wondering if they have ended the deal early (it said until 30th Sept, but I can't see the banner at the too now)

Tbf, although I was well chuffed with my last lot, do I really need any more? I only really wanted more notebooks for Christmas gifts, but have ended up obviously having to add more stuff.

I just had a dummy run at it and it takes £10 off. Just need to get my order to £20 of stuff I actually want now!

Have you gone through to the checkout? Mine applied once I got to the checkout page. Have just done two separate orders to make the most of the £10 off - it worked both times!

What are people buying on Amazon haul?! Never heard of it til this thread! FOMO 😂

I have done a couple of orders - some things are good, some not so good! The microfibre hair towels once unwrapped and washed are great. Cute design mailing bags for Vinted sales (make sure to check size!), make up / toiletry bags with initials are nice, hair elastics and accessories all been good.

I've just ordered some stocking fillers - atomisers, keyring screw drivers, embroidered make up bags, makeup brush cleaners etc. Came to £21 and then I got £10 off at checkout with free delivery.

@mammahere I was looking for a bargain there for far too long before I realised you were lost!

Moonnstars · 24/09/2025 15:09

Thanks for the haul suggestions and links to the other thread.

BedTimeAt8 · 24/09/2025 15:36

I’ve had a good search but can’t find it, someone recommended a good website for Fidget toys- maybe a couple of threads back. Can anyone remember it? I need to restock and looking for some new ideas! Thanks for all the great ideas.

TrickyD · 24/09/2025 15:37

The Essence Vault has a BOGOF offer.

They supply ‘dupes’ of well known perfumes at a fraction of the price.
I have used Perfume Parlour also Essence Vault which I prefer, not because their perfume is markedly better, but they have good offers and their website is easier to use.
The BBC consumer programme ‘Sliced Bread’ investigated dupes and the conclusion was that generally the dupe matched the original very well and would certainly save you a lot of money. My experience is the same and my DGD says her Essence Vault version of Burberry Her is brilliant.

hugsandpugs · 24/09/2025 15:50

Can anyone recommend some nice handmade pottery glazed teapots? Bonus points for quirky design 🤪

I just checked my history and I think it could be this one you seen, I'd had a neb when I came across the link. Sorry to the poster who shared it, I don't remember who it was but I think this is the one you're referring to ☺️

My Hotel Chocolat bargain chocs have just been delivered from Amazon - best before end of August 2025!!!! Needless to say I’ve rung and complained already and they’re refunding me! They look ok to be fair but the cardboard H of the box is bent back.

Treetops
I sent an email to M&S about being miffed that I had the discount but then over a week later they cancelled my order without communicating anything.

I've had a response - very polite and apologetic , however , I'm a bit Confused at their explanation for the cancellation - apparently it was due to the store being out of stock ... the thing is I was collecting the items from a Food Store that doesn't stock the products I had ordered - unless by the store being out of stock they mean the whole of Marks & Spencer's ....

NormaSnickers · 24/09/2025 16:38

I ordered two boxes of the Hotel Chocs, delivered today. One has best before of Nov 2025, the other is May 2025! Did an Amazon customer service chat and was told to keep them and they’re refunding the cost of both!

That’s awful - May 2025!!! They shouldn’t be selling out of date products.
