Other one seems to be filling up fast!

This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

ASOS have some beauty boxes priced at £25 at the moment. Not sure if they have been previously mentioned but would make quite good gifts or you could split for stocking fillers. There is a grooming one too.

@Tryonemoretime if you want a really tricky one, I recommend this
It doesn't look too difficult but the pieces are random, so you don't know what shape piece you're searching for.
We have the Aloe Swirl one for this year.

Thank you! And thanks to everyone who suggested jigsaw puzzles. I've ordered one - and might be tempted by more. 🙂

Thanks to everyone who responded to my question about cookware. Didn't realise aluminium was OK to use on an induction hob.

The all beauty sale looks great. I’m a bit overwhelmed though! I was wondering about getting a perfume for my 14yo but I can’t cope with the choice available! She has previously liked SJP lovely if anyone can think of a similar one.

I quite like the sound of the Vera wang one for me.

My 14 year old and all her friends absolutely love Calvin Klein Eternity Moment. I have bought it for her stocking and she is going to be so happy. It's a lovely light fragrance but lasts the day.

Does anyone know if Denmam brushes go on sale? I need 4 for stockings and the lowest I can find them is look fantastic at around £13 each.

ihavespoken · 01/10/2025 10:36

@hugsandpugs thankyou!

NauseousNancy · 01/10/2025 11:02

@nomas thank you! Doesn’t have to be black but does need to be the paddle brush rather than the curl one.

Famousthehero · 01/10/2025 11:04

thanks to those who gave me guidance on the Warhammer 40k set for my husband the other day - there was an introductory set recommended which I’ve just seen is at hobbycraft - so was £32.50 with free click and collect with code CRAFTY (£10 off over £40)

I often see Denman brushes in our TKMaxx. I have picked one up for a Christmas gift for 7.99, but that was earlier in the year.

Hi, does anyone know if there are any other toys or merchandise for Lego friends that is not Lego? Thanks!

You can buy soft toys of the Lego Friends animals, they're so cute! We were in a Lego shop and saw lots to choose from.

TX Maxx sometimes has the Denman paddle brushes for £4.99!

Beautifulsunflowers · 01/10/2025 11:50

I was going to buy some perfume from All beauty however with postage it was more expensive than Amazon. Not buy much 50p!! but it all helps!!

Completely not what you asked at all. There’s a Kent brushes factory outlet in Hemel Hempstead, been a while since I’ve been there but they do good quality paddle brushes and it was well worth the trip price wise (if your near!)

Yeknom · 01/10/2025 12:10

Hi, quick question rather than sharing a bargain (sorry!). I’m thinking about buying Outsmarted this year as the kids are at a better age for it. I remember last year lots of people bought it - did it go lower than £30?

Sasha07 · 01/10/2025 12:15

@Yeknom just checked, i ordered it on the 29th November (Amazon) and it was £19.99 then. We don't rate it much though. From memory, if someone keeps getting the answer right, it stays their turn so everyone else was sitting bored. Just abit slow for us and we haven't played it since Christmas. Will probably only be played for the odd hour over this Christmas period this year too.

Ladybaga · 01/10/2025 12:16

Can anyone recommend a bargainous milkshake maker for a 7 year old? Thanks!
