The Christmas Bargain Thread No 2 - The one where it all went very fast

1000 replies

RainbowZebraWarrior · 05/09/2025 18:32

Posting on behalf of @Reastie as I'm guessing she's busy and the last thread was almost full.

This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread <a class="break-all" href="https://_[[//https//www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

L'or have an offer on at the moment for their L'or Barista Sublime machine plus 100 capsules at £59.99. Given the capsules are worth £25 it seemed like a good offer.

Hollister have £10 off a £40 spend for new sign ups, works on sale items

Oneborneverydecade · 07/09/2025 17:50

Thanks for all the beauty box recommendations especially @Evergreen21 I went with a Ouai x Asos mini bundle. £15 after extra discount.

I've spent <£60* for 21 mini gifts so I'm feeling pretty smug. My husband will enjoy shopping to make up the short fall.

*I get a 25% discount at John Lewis

My 7yo DD is a Japanophile. Does anyone have any recommendations for stocking fillers please?
Last year she was gifted a Japanese snack box - I'll probably look for another

Wolfcub · 07/09/2025 18:05

Holster also on TCB. The cashback from the cocktails this morning has tracked

Have a look here

@GAJLY depending on budget, the Frugi baby bundle is great value. You could always break it up into a few separate gifts. Sizing is generous.

Anyone looking for big garden things, TP toys have a cracking end of season sale with up to 70% off. Not sure if anyone mentioned it already.

Another thank you, just ordered a bag and purse for SIL birthday!

She was a bit older but my daughter was given a set of these Japanese design bookmarks and really loved them:

Matalan Xmas stuff is in on app/website. Some stuff is included in offers (20% off £40 or 25% off £65 Using Code: AUTUMN) but not a huge amount of Xmas stuff (and baseline prices seem to have gone up but maybe that's just me being tight!)

My 21st DD is going to Japan next year! Any ideas for a Christmas present related to Japan would be great!

She already had the LEGO Japan postcard for her birthday.

You know, I'm not so sure that the Fiorelli bag discount is such a good deal - I bought a lovely tote for my SIL and then had to buy myself one too, plus a purse 🤣

MynameisJune · 07/09/2025 19:22

Checking in, didn’t log on for a few days and the thread ran away without me!

DD 10 and DD 6 to buy for plus one of their birthdays in between now and Christmas!

Clitmandu · 07/09/2025 19:24

Another Fiorelli sheep here.

I bought the Abi black chunky scarf with fur pom poms. £29.99 reduced to £8.70 and OUTLET10 worked making it £7.70 delivered. There is also a matching Abi hat for the same discounted price.

Random one - can anybody recommend a pasta machine?? Thinking might work as gifts for 2 different people! Thanks

Ive got the Lakeland one. Cant knock it

Elpheba · 07/09/2025 19:39

@ChristmasMad1 not japan specific (apart from to suggest some v v lightweight hold alls that she can put in her suitcase going out so she has more space coming back- because the shopping really is THAT AMAZING).
But in general- this travel adapter is incredible. Obvs cheaper versions exist but this one is powerful enough to charge a laptop and therefore makes light work of charging multiple items and means you never need different adapters. I’ve bought 3- they go as low as £30 but not seen them lower- https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BHQNMDNC?ref=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apin_dp_WA603TC54F8VB4WSH4XE&ref_=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apin_dp_WA603TC54F8VB4WSH4XE&social_share=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apin_dp_WA603TC54F8VB4WSH4XE

What about the Lego Lucky Cat? Or that may be too much Lego

Timetochangenow · 07/09/2025 20:43

The Asda toy sale is rumoured to start tomorrow and yesterday they were prepping the aisles. A few Lego sets, botanicals, Hei Hei, some wooden dolls furniture, toddler bits. It’s normally online also so worth a look in the morning.
