Followed these threads for ages and last year I was moving house. This year I’m fully up for Xmas!

I was thinking ahead to Christmas this week and realised I actually already have Panto tickets.

I’m going to chat with DS about whether he wants to see Father Christmas. Last year he didn’t and we didn’t have passes to where we usually go so would have been an expensive ££££ trip. If he wants to go this year I’ll buy the passes and we’ll have a day trip there before summer holidays are out.

I bought a Pokemon bag for my daughter so a local shop. It had loads of niche things. That’ll be a nice surprise for her.

We had the table top and it really made a difference to the play value and the dcs used it as a support for pulling themselves up to standing too ( with my hand keeping it steady).

My go to is always something from bookishly. Their clothes are really lovely and have literary quotes on. Max discount usually about 15% if you sign up for mailing list.

@GriseldaClement did your Elizabeth Arden order arrive? I was going to order a few for gifts but someone else mentioned up thread that it wasn't sealed or similar and it might not be genuine? just wondered on your experience

Not really a bargain but just found a survival kit advent calendar on Amazon for £15.49. Looks quite fun for a teenager.

Does anyone know if Whistlefish are likely to have more offers on later? I found lovely cards in their 15 for £10 and a couple of other bits I like but the free tin design really isn't my style and it won't let me use either JOIN20 or a referral code so I'm now grumpy 😆 and wondering whether to wait and see if future free gifts might be more my thing or if I risk missing the 15 for £10 altogether...

@BerfyTigot I'm doing 'DIY' Christmas hand towels this year. Picked up some nice thick guest towels from Sainsbury's on offer and will be stitching one of these mini cross stitch on each one. They are £3 from Hobbycraft and there are different designs. They gave one away free to each Hobbycraft member last year. Alternatively, you could just get iron on / sew on Christmas patches, like the second pic.

That's a good idea. I'm a crafter and have made lots of gifts for Christmas for many years. I always do a charity gift with a theme, so have done Tree Aid and Water Aid. This year it's feeding the Homeless, so everyone is getting a crocheted sprout to hang on their tree.

I looked for this a few weeks ago. They don't seem to be doing it anymore. They have an amazon shop, but it was just full of overpriced cards etc when I looked. I made a note to check again as I was lucky enough to get it two years in a row. If it pops up, I'll be sure to post.

Yes I've been looking. I also checked my amazon receipt, which took me to the product but it's out of stock.
It was such a good deal, and lasted 2 Christmases!

You can usually get some decent £8-9 Lego sets on amazon. Not massively bargainous but it’s a really nice gift that also won’t break the bank.

@MaybeMrs I got my 1 year old a ball drop toy for his birthday he loves it. So does my 3 year old. He has mega blocks but it's too bothered with them.

I'd look up ball drops or car ramp toys. I can't see any offers right now
