This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

GiveMe cosmetics have a birthday sale on and there’s free delivery on all orders. DD has mentioned seeing their haircare videos online so I’ve got her a few bits including this hairbrush collection which is reduced to £13.99.

@Jade31

just fyi, under each post there's a row of optional actions, the last one is "bookmark".

Click on that, when you've read your last post on a particular thread.

The next time you look at that thread you'll automatically be taken to the post you've bookmarked.

Hope that makes sense 😊

I never knew this either. Thanks so much!

I always look forward to these threads. Thanks @Reastie. I love getting all my shopping done by the beginning of December so I can enjoy the festive season.

I’ve taken advantage of Dock & Bay’s summer sale and got some new beach towels for the children. There’s lots of things in the sale and you can add on a discount code for key workers. Free delivery over £50 too. I got two XL rainbow towels and two kids ponchos. DH and I have had ours for years and they save so much space when travelling.

Not sure if anyone responded as I keep losing my place.

Does anyone know if Amazon Haul are likely to have more offers on later, like the recent 70%? I found some stocking fillers and a couple of other bits I like but I'm wondering whether to wait and see if they will drop again or if I risk paying full price?

IlovePond · 25/08/2025 18:09

Hi,

www.allbeauty.com

have some good reductions today, with certain items being further reduced with code: BLITZ

Some items - not all - are cheaper than the deal being offered by LF.

HeadOfGregor · 25/08/2025 18:30

Thanks for the mini botanicals suggestion, just got this and another couple of things for DD(9)

Also TCB £3 bonus, £6 off a £30 spend and 8.5% cashback. Lovely stuff

Finally made a start 🎄

Goingincirclesstill · 25/08/2025 18:32

Look fantastic has some reductions and then an extra 10% off with EXTRA10.....but if you go via topcashback....today only...activate the offer for £3 back from them and they have a special offer of 20% cashback from them. Works with the code as listed on the top cashback link page

Been here since 2008 and never actually realised this!

Thank you.

Does anyone know if Whistlefish are likely to have more offers on later? I found lovely cards in their 15 for £10 and a couple of other bits I like but the free tin design really isn't my style and it won't let me use either JOIN20 or a referral code so I'm now grumpy 😆 and wondering whether to wait and see if future free gifts might be more my thing or if I risk missing the 15 for £10 altogether...

@SeeTheBatsFly I know it’s not what you asked but be aware that whistlefish have been known to steal other artists artwork without acknowledge or financial compensation. I stopped shopping with them when they did this to another local artist.

Its a shame because their cards are nice quality.

Gilead · 25/08/2025 19:34

Thanks Reastie, been here since the start, my small ones are 29 next week!

Cupofteaandbiscuits · 25/08/2025 20:07

So pleased this thread is back! Last year you successfully helped me find a soft toy reindeer that my husband and I got when we were TTC which was lost in a house move. DS takes it to bed every night because he believes it’s Christmas magic protects him from bad dreams all year long 🥰

Vans are lovely, but just an FYI for anyone considering, they are quite narrow.

fishfingersandchipsagain · 25/08/2025 20:30

For those asking about the Amazon Haul discount, I don’t think it will be back at that level - which is why I made so much noise about how big a discount it was.

After a lovely poster mentioned in on here I did some reading up. I read that it was a pre-launch discount to both test the platform and the distribution model while it was in beta, and encourage reviews to reassure new shoppers when it launches next month.

Id be happy to be proven wrong though, and I suspect they’ll have regular 50% discounts like their competitors.

Theraffarian · 25/08/2025 20:32

@ChristmasMad1 its hard to know if another Amazon Haul code will come up . Haul only started in the UK in May . They did two multi site discounts in June , one 25% and one 50% . The most recent 70/80% started on 6th August, since that ended they have added Haul to the website as opposed to mobile only . I’ve got a HUKD account and will get a notification if anyone posts a new Haul code is available, so will share it here if I see one . Things do sell out though , most of what I ordered is no longer available, so if you want specific things it might be worth ordering as it’s still free delivery on over £15 .

unsure about next discount, sorry, but if you go to the haul page and click on the "crazy low" 🔥 symbol and are prepared to scroll, you may find something?

I hate the £4.99 delivery but Frasers have some good toy reductions if you have time to browse through! I know it isn’t hugely popular with their return policy etc but ive got a few bits like hot wheels uno, a ninja turtle bop it which I haven’t seen before, a sonic puzzle and a minecraft sniffler at good prices. A few Melissa and Doug paw patrol reductions also in there

Cos1970 · 25/08/2025 20:57

I’ve done quite a bit of my shopping already (mainly thanks to the Boots sale after Xmas) but I’m struggling to think of ideas for my DS’s stocking. He’ll be 12 and he’s getting harder to buy for. He’s heavily jn to football (Liverpool and our home team).

So far I’ve got him some Coke cosy socks from Primark and a football facts book. Need some ideas of what else I can get him. I don’t mind getting him larger bits and getting less of them.

How about some of the replica kits? Like DH gate or https://www.footballshirts4u.com
or football cards?
I also have a footie mad DS!

Feeling very unorganised this year - in the process of buying a house and the 6 weeks holidays has zapped my mental energy 😬😅

Thanks to @Reastie for this thread - they are so helpful!
