Sainsbury's own Argos, which is why loads of Argos stores are now in Sainsbury's!

This is genuine news to me! 😄🫣

ChiaraRimini · 18/10/2025 13:47

re the Bucks Fizz, surely you can just mix cheap fizz with clementine juice and cranberry juice bought separately?

I don't think it'll be quite the same!

Really? I had no idea.
I tend to either shop from small businesses or online - but not very often from argos (it was the cheapest place for the lego set dn wants..)
You live and learn 😊

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/10/2025 16:03

Oh yes our local Argos moved from town centre to Sainsbury .
Sainsbury lost the cafe to make room for it .

I cannot remember the last time I used Argos , since it shifted location, I forget it's there TBH.

I used to pick up a copy or two of their catalogue , then the DC got out the marker pens to drop a few Christmas hints Xmas Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 18/10/2025 16:06

Sainsbury's are generally closing all counters and cafes. Money saving, especially post-NI hikes.

I forget it's in there especially when I'm meant to be collecting something from in there!

Morning!

Another grey day here. Heavy rain expected later, and for the whole week! Along with strong winds.

Dog walk soon. Then I'm going to Asda and Next before popping to see my parents.

Morning!

We've had loads of rain this week. Thankfully none on the dog walk this morning!

I did see Starlink this morning though which is a bonkers sight. Just a line of what looks like stars moving through the sky! A fellow dog walker showed me (no way I'd have noticed moving at speed with the dog!).

Morning. Currently on the train to the office and feeling awful mum guilt. LO is ill and DH is taking the hit and staying home as I have an ‘all day’ (9:30-2:30) meeting that I can’t miss.
And to make all that worse we have work being done on the house so we have scaffolding up and stuff everywhere 🙄

Im going to try and get a Booths and Lakeland Christmas book. I requested the Smyths one ages ago and it hasn’t arrived but the Argos one has been well used in our house.
I also found my unread Christmas GH magazine the other day and had a flick through yesterday.

Fluffy we saw the starlink satellites a year or so ago. It’s freaky isn’t it?

NoWordForFluffy · 23/10/2025 09:48

Meeces, I hope LO is feeling better. The mum guilt is awful, isn't it? But it's actually good for the kids to see that it isn't always mum doing everything for them. I'm sure they're OK with having dad there instead.

Starlink was properly bonkers. Both the other dog walker and I were staring, baffled, at it. It was only when I got home that DH told me what it was, and I googled it.

Chilly today. Feeling more autumnal, as it's been quite warm.

Hope the LO is better today @NoCheesesForUsMeeces .
I made mince pies to. DS is thrilled, less thrilled about doing GCSE revision
