Gorgeous crisp morning (3°) today. The sunrise was lovely. I do need to wear my running light now so I can successfully find the dog 💩 in the undergrowth as it's a bit dark when I leave the house.

I'm very confused about what day it is after being in the office yesterday. I woke up at 2.30 thinking I'd forgotten to do something with deadline of today. Then realised I hadn't missed the deadline! Phew!

Ugh.
Feeling grotty.
I need to put the washing out...

Both dds have just had a new lots of socks/knickers.
I might get them a new pair of Pjs each for Christmas.
My new lamp looks lovely and I've ordered a smaller chest to use as a coffee/side table 😄

I picked up the M&S food catalogue this morning. I'm not ordering anything (although I might buy some chocolate pinecones if I'm near a store just before Christmas) but I'm happily flicking through for the food porn.

Chilly here too - we've got the summer duvet on (4.0 tog I think) and I had to get up during the night and grab a blanket.

DS and I started his first Christmas present today. He wanted to do a diamond painting for his nanna so we've started now to make sure he has plenty of time to finish it (I'm helping currently as it's vast for a 7yo)

Lots of present shopping has been done but I do need to wade through the present ideas threads to see what inspiration there is out there!

I have been right through the M&S mag and cannot see the Cranberry and Clementine Bucks Fizz 😱 my DDs will not be impressed!

My lovely DD has said she'll pick up the M&S food mag at lunchtime . I looked online at the food , the Reindeer Sleigh looks soooo cute but it's not for me .

Oh it’s my office day and I need to
go to M&S to pick up DHs traditional present from my dm (M&S slippers) so will have a look too. I’ll be gutted if there is no posh Bucks Fizz this year 😱

Its chilly this morning and it was only as I was getting ready to leave that I realised I binned my coat for this weather after I broke it earlier in the year and now I don’t have one (my choices are lightweight rain coat or down jacket for when it’s freezing) so I’m braving it with cotton cardi under woolly one and a light scarf. Will need to buy one asap!

I'm off to the dr later. I feel ghastly 😷

I finally had to wear a suit jacket today for work- it has got ever so slightly crisp…15 degrees. But it’s quite windy, so I can’t open windows and let the heat out of the apartment so my bedroom is still 24!

DD arrived at midnight last night to stay 2 extra nights as there’s a bug going around and around her halls…so the washing machine is going strong this morning. She’s curled up sleeping again while I’m at work, but I’m sure she’ll want food later!

Work never lets up, just waiting for my printing now but have a big mound of reading to get through and a few reports to get written so about to bury my head again.

My first grandchild was born in June so super excited to be looking at little gifts for him this year. Also, been saving my Tesco Clubcard vouchers all year and am up to £96 at the moment so that’ll be great for Christmas food 🥳

Quick check in here with the sad news that the big city centre M&S food hall has no posh Buck’s Fizz, just the boring traditional one

Do they do a new Bucks Fizz every year ?

I'm waiting to see what variation on Lemon Curd that Sainsbury will do . They did Blood Orange one year and Clementine another . Never to return .

I'm watching QVC Christmas shows , not seen anything yet but the night is young....
Also doing The Prep (you don;t want to know ) but suffice to say I am so hungry now and it'll be another 15 hours before I can eat .
The rest of the house had take aways so I stayed well away from them .

I'm planning Fantasy Dinner for when I can eat !

70 The Prep? - I am curious. I do intermittent fasting 2 days per week so I'm familiar with serving the family meal and legging it. It helps keeping VERY busy on those days.

Still no sighting of the M&S C&CBF.

Happy Rudolph Day! The only Christmassy thing today is paying my credit card back for DD's new phone. Not really exciting. I still need a memory card for the phone, but that can wait. I needed to get the phone now as it was discounted in the sale, and I also had a limited time £5 voucher.

The Buck's Fizz is cranberry and clementine and is lovely. It doesn't normally appear until much closer to Christmas, so we may be OK yet. 🤞🤞🤞

70, you could make the curd yourself. It's dead simple to do (if boring while you're waiting for it to thicken and have to keep whisking!).

I'm now on water and black coffee ( ugh , I like my coffee mega soya milky and strong. This is bitter and weak )

I want to sleep but I need to stay alert to sprint to the loo ( it would be funny if I wasn't such a sad case )

I ordered DD dressing gown, usually I buy DD and DS a new one every couple of years , DS are still ok so he;ll decline .
DD spied one on M&S but it looked massive and I thought my washing machine would flip trying to wash and spin that . She decided on a Chelsea Peers one ( she's had CP pajamas so I know they're pretty good )

I have hope for the Bucks Fizz. They usually do a nice Bellini bottle at Christmas and that wasn’t there either so I think it’ll appear in a few weeks.
They did have a lot of Christmas food and advent calendars though…

70 I don’t envy you. Have had to do The Prep once before and it wasn’t pleasant. Will say I don’t think I’d have forgiven DH if he’d had a takeaway though!

I kind of half-twitched (if you can call it that when I haven’t started shopping properly yet) yesterday. ILs were asking for ideas of what to get LO and as I was having a look online for them, I found a kids keyboard for half price and ordered it It’s not on the list of things I’m planning to get and I really want to buy him less this year but I got excited 🙄
Will have to ask my mum or someone to pick a thing or 2 off my list now.

I had to go and pick up some new bedding for DS this morning so went next door to Aldi and bought a chocolate chip panettone. It's gone in the cupboard ready to be toasted for Christmas morning breakfast.
