OK, so you all went on a bloody posting frenzy!

Can someone add the countdown from today to make it easier tomorrow? Thanking you!

Yeah. Not the weather we have up here, Magnolia! It was warm but grey and windy. We're under a yellow rain warning for overnight, so I've just sprinted round with the bloody mower as I wasn't sure when I'd next get a chance (it wasn't fully dry, but it was very long in places and needed doing).

I'm too warm 🔥
It's very muggy here.
Dd2 is being a real pita re: a project she's doing.
Deadline is fast approaching and she really needs to re-do part of it (I've been gently suggesting since Wednesday...)but won't accept that...until 24 hours before its due, probably, then it'll be major drana to get it done.
God, I love them, but my kids exhaust me 😫

Morning!

Gone grey and cloudy here today but still hoping to get a wash out after the gym.

Just signed up to the ok beauty advent calendar waitlist. I'm ashamed to say I've been totally advertised by it. Slight panic that there'll be none left 😂

swampwitch0 · 20/09/2025 08:31

Hmmm.
I think I may have covid 🙄😷

NoWordForFluffy · 20/09/2025 10:22

Morning!

Bloody forecast is nonsense. Went out in my raincoat as it was allegedly 80% chance of rain. It didn't rain, it was just muggy, so I was all sweaty instead. Grim.

I had Covid this time last year. I hope it's not too bad for you, @swampwitch0. 🤞🤞

Hope you are better soon @swampwitch0
It's so warm here, yesterday the car said 25 and I put the extra duvet on the beds for more togs.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/09/2025 10:58

Awww swamp hopefully with fluids'n'painkillers you;ll power through.
I often say to people " Covid hasn;t gone away , it;s going to make it;s re-appearance every year and like seasonal flu it depends on the variant"
they look at me Hmm

Our temperatures have gone from 26 yesterday to projected 16 tomorrow , quite a dip .
Ploughing through the washing right now , it's like painting the Forth Road Bridge

NoCheesesForUsMeeces · 20/09/2025 11:07

Similar story here re the washing. LO is having less accidents but still manages to get a lot of clothes dirty so it’s never ending. I also never seem to get to the bottom of the basket.

It’s been a really busy week and housework has slid so the house currently looks like someone set off a toy bomb. Am just about to blitz around, putting things away etc - then we can start the actual cleaning 🙄

Not much planned this weekend. LO seems to be going backwards with his cough/cold and I’m still tired so when they get back from clubs this morning we’ll be chilling at home. We may do the food shopping and DH needs to do a tip run to get rid of the giant packaging from the chair we bought this week but that’s about it.

swampwitch0 · 20/09/2025 17:51

@70isaLimitNotaTarget
Definitely!
Not sure what it is tbh, just feeling rough 😕
Although we have had a very productive day.

swampwitch0 · 20/09/2025 17:56

Omg, the washing!
The only thing I like about summer is the line drying👕👖🧦👗🩳🩲

NoWordForFluffy · 20/09/2025 19:00

We're lining washing up to go out in the morning as it's meant to be lovely the week ahead. I may finally get the fence painted next weekend, as it has a chance to dry out!

Meeces, I hope you both feel better soon. The amount of stuff a small person has is disproportionate to their size!

I've just checked the weather so I've now got a pile to go out first thing 😄

Magnoliasunrise · 21/09/2025 08:08

Hope you're feeling better Swamp.

I did 3 loads yesterday but shitty weather so drying all over the house however today is looking nice so got a load in ready to go out.

Off to a yoga class later then I really need to sweep up some leaves and do a massive pile of ironing.

I've been having a think about Christmas presents and might do some cheese hampers with homemade chutney, port and a nice cheese knife in them but then I'd have to say put it in the fridge so not much of a surprise. And definitely can't put them under the tree 🙄

swampwitch0 · 21/09/2025 09:14

Thank you.
Not really 😖🤧😷
But I'm about to go and peg the washing out

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 21/09/2025 15:54

Went to Bluewater , -early they have 'browsing' time so shops were all open but tills not .untill 11am

On the way back there was a problem in one of the tunnels so we were stuck for an hour .
Some vehicles reversed and joined the traffic for the other tunnel (chaotic!) until one of the Highway Patrols put cones up , then the tunnel opened and we moved .

<sigh>

swampwitch0 · 21/09/2025 16:07

Oh, that's pants @70isaLimitNotaTarget 😕
Off out for a meal, soon.
Lots of sorting out done, new lamp ordered, along with new shoes for an event in November

NoWordForFluffy · 21/09/2025 16:46

I thought I saw that traffic was awful at Bluewater the other day, 70, as I thought of you when I saw it!

We are chilling on the balcony as it's a gorgeous sunny day and as the wind is northerly, we can't feel it on the south-facing balcony! Need to make the most of these days at this time of year. ☀️ 🍺

We've had 3 loads of washing on the line over the course of today. DH did the school shirts yesterday and hung them in the garage to dry (it's dry and cool, plus the wind comes under the door if from a southerly direction).

It's definitely autumn now as the goose action has increased dramatically the last couple of days. (May have to zoom in on the photo!)

We had geese a couple of days ago Fluffy on Friday morning , DD said there about 12 of them in formation. I only heard them though .
Definitely a sign of autumn .

NoWordForFluffy · 21/09/2025 17:50

We've had a few geese for about a week, 70, it's only this weekend that it's gone seriously goosey! They're coming over in large numbers every few minutes now! 🪿 🪿 🪿

Morning!

🥶🥶🥶 is all I'm going to say! 🤣 1° here this morning!

I cancelled physio last week, so have it today instead which means I'm working in the office. At least I didn't get too hot on my walk to the station, as I normally would!

It was misty across the fields as I left the house. Very pretty and autumnal. 🍂 🍁

I might go into a few of the cheaper shops (B&M / Home Bargains) when I travel back through Liverpool later to look at the Christmas stock, depending on what time I get there. If it's too close to 5pm, I'll save it for my office day next week!

Beautiful sunrise Fluffy.

I agree so chillly this morning, autumn is definitely round the corner.

GrannyWeatherwaxsBroomstick · 22/09/2025 08:02

Lovely picture @NoWordForFluffy I agree it's definitely more autumnal now. I even thought about putting the heating on this morning (but didn't in the end, it was still 19 in the house)

swampwitch0 · 22/09/2025 08:21

7° here
Bright and sunny
I feel dreadful 😷 and pretty sure I look it, too 😖
Need to go and pick mums meds up, then back home to bed 🛌

NoCheesesForUsMeeces · 22/09/2025 10:56

Morning. A lovely sunny 5° here this morning. I’m just in from an hour in the garden emptying my pots and binning my dying/dead summer flowers etc.

having a quick 20 mins to eat before changing clothes and picking up LO. He’s still under the weather so I think we’ll come home for lunch and have a quiet hour or so before going to the park and swimming.

swamp I hope you feel better soon. My friend and her DH have had Covid recently and it affected them so differently. She felt rotten for 2 days then absolutely fine but her DH has had it a week and is only now feeling better.

Lovely photos Fluffy

swampwitch0 · 22/09/2025 11:22

Thanks @NoCheesesForUsMeeces
Hopefully, I'll feel better by end of the week 🤞
I've just been in the back garden and dead headed some roses, and pulled out a couple of dead plants that dh kept saying were "fine"
Still waiting for someone to pick up the bloody huge artwork 🙄
If they don't get back to me today I'm putting it on the dreaded fb 😬
I've just tidied the charger/lead/powerbank basket! 3 x powerbanks now on charge and all the leads sorted.
