Evening all!

Welcome to the first prequel thread of 2025

These tend to run slower than the run up to Christmas ones but doesn't mean there are no bargains!

Happy Christmas Bargain Shopping!

Thanks for the reminder! Some Liz Earle and lumene in the mix as well

Do you know if Lumene is any good?

Do you know if Lumene is any good?

As a brand overall, yes. I like a couple of things from their range but others don’t suit me at all. Luckily one of the things I love turns up in £10 Tuesday every 4-5 weeks so I stock up!

Thank you. What’s the thing you particularly like?

I bought some dark spot serum last Tuesday, but that always takes a long time to work, if it ever does, so I can’t really judge yet.

Little People Barbie Dreamhouse is selling online from Asda at £23! More than double elsewhere. Have bought to put away for my youngest. Just incase this helps anyone else.

@Everybodysaycheese thanks for this, anyone that’s got this do you think it would be okay for a 1.5 year old or still a bit too old for them? Xx

Yalz · 17/06/2025 14:37

I’ve had an email from M&S to say their sale will start on 19 June, in stores only, not online.

They may have a lot of stock to sell at a good price because of the long period when internet ordering was suspended.

This one. I tend to need extra hydration, round the eyes especially, and this really works for me (and doesn’t itrritate my eyes)

I think this would be great for your little one.
I got a fair few bits when my little girl was 1 and she is growing into playing with them. She loves the music/sounds they make now.
And that is a great price. Only ever dropped to £30 on Amazon. Xx

Yalz · 17/06/2025 20:17

Thank you, @Talisin - and it’s in the £10 Tuesday offer. I wouldn’t have bought it without your recommendation as the reviews are rather mixed, but I’ve given it a try.

Last week I bought the Boots x Women’s Health Beauty Box for £36, and I’m very pleased with it. I wanted to try the Iron tablets (which are normally £20+) and it includes a Chesapeake 3 wick candle, which seems to be generally available for about £20 (although Boots says it’s reduced from £30), a possible Christmas gift. So that’s the £36 covered, without the other 8 full-size things in the box, some of which are could be useful stocking fillers.

I see the iron tablets are also in the £10 Tuesday offer, but sold out.

I’ve just logged onto Next as my daughter’s just broken her sandals and they gave me a promotional £10 code. I’ve never had this happen for them before and I’m sure I had until the end of July to redeem it. I just thought I’d pass it to see if anyone else wanted to check for it. It made the replacement sandals a lot cheaper anyway!

Thank you so much that's an amazing offer. I checked my coupons as well and had a double points one.

Hello all. It's June so I'm checking in as per my annual routine 🤣, plus I've just bought my first official Christmas present for 2025 so my personal countdown has officially begun! Thanks as ever for these threads and all the bargains.

ITSSSSCHRISTMASSS · 18/06/2025 13:49

Just done a fantastic haul at sports direct for Christmas. I’ve attached a screen shot of the invoice as easier than writing it all out. I could have bought so much more. Lots of fluffy dressing gowns, slippers oodies etc..

Hi,

For those ELF fans amongst us:

I logged into my account today and discovered that I had been given a £5 Challenge Reward - just for existing, I think 😹.

I also - belatedly - realised that ELF will give 25% off for key workers on a spend over £30, which stacks with other codes.

I got a sunscreen stick and free carry pouch, a mini sunscreen and an SPF moisturiser, plus a sample card for something or other - all for £19.

You can also earn REWARD points by completing very small tasks such as clicking on ELF’s Instagram.

As an extra ‘bonus’ it all arrives in a very sturdy reusable Jiffy bag with free postage on orders over £10.

I can’t remember who on here flagged up the sheer wonder that is ELF, but I am very grateful!

IlovePond · 18/06/2025 17:16

Also - the LF APP is offering an extra 5% off the 25% that has already been taken off a lot of LANCÔME products, with code: EMAIL5.

There’s also a free Lancôme gift on spends over £45, (but I am wondering if this has sold out as it didn’t seem to add to my bag).

LF are also giving a free Christophe Robin hair mask - 75ml - on a spend over £70.

There’s also 25% off a lot of other brands.

Might be a good time to stock up on Xmas pressies if you were going to use LF anyway, (but it’s always a good idea to see if any of the influencer codes offer an even better deal before ordering).

Famousthehero · 18/06/2025 19:59

Some Squishmallows reduced to £5.40 at the moment including that cute hermit crab

Yalz · 19/06/2025 02:17

The John Lewis sale has started.

However, I was very irritated to find that, although I filter in “In stock”, when I clicked on most of the cheapest haberdashery and kitchen items, a notice said they were delivery from store only, at an extra cost of £4.50. That’s a lot for a 50p roll of ribbon or a £2 mug.
It’s free for orders over £50, but you have to go through ‘express checkout’ which will only let you check out one thing at a time, so little chance of it being over £50 although I could easily add several things to reach that total. (I suppose they might be at different stores, so cost them a lot to post.) The link to an explainer for it has a ‘no entry’ sign, so you can’t find out how it should work.

I suppose I was hoping it might be like Seasalt, which will send you things from different branches at no charge if your order total is enough. (£50+?)

You can check in-store stock in your local branch of JL, though, so that could be useful if it’s accurate.

All it needs is a modified filter so when you click on “In stock only” it doesn’t bring up things which are only available in stores.

I was about to say about the John Lewis sale! I had the same issue. I did get a few wooden toys for a good price though!

I was in M&S in Belfast today and the sale was very disappointing!

IlovePond · 19/06/2025 19:20

Hi, did the sale at M&S actually start today? I didn’t bother going to my local as I couldn’t see anything on the M&S site about a sale and didn’t get an email myself.

Thanks

MerylSqueak · 19/06/2025 21:40

It was on in our M&S however there were sale stickers on the items but no reduced prices. Weird. Don't they realise people shopping in sales are price driven?

There wasn't much anyway.

DressOrSkirt · 19/06/2025 17:04

I was in M&S in Belfast today and the sale was very disappointing!

I went in last week and was told curtly by a member of staff not to expect much in the way of reductions and not to ever expect any sparks offers again as they had lost so much money. I appreciate the staff and company have had a trying time, but I was a bit taken aback.
