Evening all!

Welcome to the first prequel thread of 2025

These tend to run slower than the run up to Christmas ones but doesn't mean there are no bargains!

Happy Christmas Bargain Shopping!

Does anyone have an Air Up referral code they can send me please? 🙏🏼

Mumto42005 · 28/03/2025 06:10

Bought a couple of hoodies for Christmas presents yesterday from Boohooman. They have massive sale on, so I got a couple of hoodies for £6 and £10. I am surrounded by Formula One and Marvel fans, so a couple of the hoodies were Venom / Batman. Don’t know if useful for anyone else to have a browse ☺️

värskekapsas · 28/03/2025 09:16

I’m not sure if it’s been mentioned already, as I found this on last year’s thread, but Books for Bugs currently have a sale on their activity and sticker books — most are around £1 or £1.50. They’re great as stocking fillers, and with the school holidays coming up, they could be useful for keeping toddlers busy.
Delivery was quick as well — I ordered yesterday and it’s arriving today. One thing to note is that delivery is about £5, so it’s worth stocking up or sharing an order with someone.

Superdrug’s Fiver Friday has quite a few things by the brand Vegan by Happy Skin, and other brands, which it says were originally £24.99 - £54.99. I don’t know if they sell many at that price, but they might make impressive presents for someone if your budget is just £5.

The essential oils pack for £5 is quite giftable, too.

Iwanttoputmytreeup · 28/03/2025 13:03

Talking of Superdrug, topcashback are doing 20% cash back on them today and also their offer of spend £5 and get £2 extra back

Hi lovely bargain hunters,

Not been on in a while & need some non-Christmas help.

I have a wedding present to buy - physical or virtual and could do RL or online shopping- & need it by Fri/ Sat.

My cousin got married abroad & is having a party this weekend to celebrate. I'm double-booked so can't make the party, but would send gift via my sister.

2nd wedding, they're both 60 & have lived together years, so have a beautiful house & everything in it. Looking for just around the £30-35 mark as a token since I'm not attending. I see cousin about 4 times a year or so, so not super close but she's lovely. I'm.closer to my aunt, her mum, actually.

Suggestions more than appreciated. Or do I just fo a voucher or champagne?

TIA

Hello!

I'm hoping you can help please?! Son has just got into Blokus (thanks to this thread!) and I'm wondering if there's another similar game to ot please to travel with? There is blokus to go but I can't seem to find it in stock or it won't arrive in time.
He enjoys filling the spaces with the different sized blocks.

Thanks all!

if its about fitting the bits in has he tried traffic jam? i think they have a kids edition if he's very young, but the cars fit in whatever version you have and the earlier cards are really easy if he decides he wants to play, iirc

That's a cracking idea ❤️. I'll order. Brilliant. Thank you.

PS Loving the user name 😉

Isle of Skye candles currently have 40% off their Raspberry and White Ginger range. I've got one and love it. The travel candle makes a great gift (and is much larger than you'd think for a travel candle) I've put my referral code on the referral thread. It takes another fiver off the price and its free postage on any order no matter how small. I'm stocking up for birthdays and Christmas.

This does look good thank you! Yes it's the gaps he likes to fill.
I found a tetris like wooden game on amazon as well.

Trying to keep him busy on the plane for when we go away but also trying to encourage turn taking and waiting patiently so we've been playing more games as a family which we are enjoying!

Wellwhoknewthat · 03/04/2025 18:03

@Wholetthedogsoutwhowhowho have a look at smart games and iq games - lots of those are travel friendly.

watchuswreckthemic · 05/04/2025 20:46

IlovePond · 07/04/2025 22:42

Postscript books have a special offer running until the 24th of April. A free book if you spend over £15. It's called Historic Streets and Squares and might make a good gift for someone.

Very have a good deal on a braun io8 toothbrush. It's down to 169.99 from 450. It's still pricey for a toothbrush but I love mine.

The brushes are astoundingly expensive though, right? I looked to swap and just bought a normal one because the brushes were going to be as expensive as the brush?

Or do you have a good deal on brushes?

I think the whole electric toothbrush thing is a bit of a con generally. I bought an IO one for about £40 (“reduced” from something ridiculous like £250). It is no better or different to my older one (which 5 years ago was purchased under a similar “reduction”). But you are right - replacement heads are something like £20 each, rather than the £20 for 4 “special offers” n the older style ones. The ONLY difference is the shape of the connection between toothbrush and head.

I buy in bulk on prime day but still not cheap. It is a good brush though and I have a fear of the dentist so worth it for me.

I have the io7, I think. The brushes crop up fairly frequently in the Boots £10 Tuesday offers, that’s for a pack of 4.

I used to have a Philips Sonicare toothbrush. My dentist has commented that my teeth need almost no scaling now, just a polish. She has an IO toothbrush, too.
