It was £85 in the one I visited today in London.
They looked really good but it's a lot of Dosh
I think I'll stick to our fake one!

£60 for 8 foot in Hackney

ReformMyArse · 02/12/2024 06:36

Nordman fir £35 for 8ft
just outside London
our local fab garden centre. Get from there every year and they’re amazing quality too.

Hobbesmanc · 02/12/2024 06:37

£59 for a lovely Nordman from our local garden centre.

Littletreefrog · 02/12/2024 06:43

£45 for a 6 to 7 ft Nordman Fir that we selected in the forest and was cut to order.

LaPalmaLlama · 02/12/2024 06:47

“Urban Dorset”. Kind of depends and you get what you pay for. The posh garden centre has them for around 80 but they are beautiful- trimmed and even branches, nice gentle taper etc. You can get them cheaper at loads of other places but have to fish through for a good one and even the good ones aren’t quite as aesthetically nice.

But we have a artificial one as our cats like to redecorate it a few times before Christmas

£85 in London area is not a bad price. Same sized tree was £75 10-15 years ago.

But here (East Midlands) it would be about £50.

CandyflossKid · 02/12/2024 06:59

We go to a farm (Midlands) where we've been going for quite a few years - - £40 for any sized tree.
(Decorated it yesterday and it smells amazing in the house this morning)

LottieMary · 02/12/2024 07:01

58 and they collect in January, donating 10 to charity.
they’ll also collect ones not from them for 10 donation

Fluffycloudsfloatinginthesky · 02/12/2024 07:11

I paid £39 for 6-7ft one this weekend.

I was really excited as I love Nordman Firs but with a small Victorian mid terrace they can take over the room and I spend ages trying to find the least bushy!

The garden centre had 'slim' Nordman Firs

All the loveliness but not as bulky at the bottom. It was perfect.

ghostyslovesheets · 02/12/2024 07:18

Local garden centre, Nordman fir - £45 - local hospice recycle for £10 - midlands area.

I think these are all over the country - £12.99 for decent ones at Home Bargains yesterday

Butterworths · 02/12/2024 07:19

We paid £75 for a 6 foot Nordman Fir in Richmond borough yesterday.

misspositivepants · 02/12/2024 07:20

Bought a 7ft from local tree grower £72

Go to Aldi! I've just bought a 5-6 ft tree for £13.99! It's gorgeous and just the right height! I'd say closer to the 6' than 5' and a lovely shape. We've bought from Aldi before and th e trees have lasted as long as more expensive ones from garden centres did. I'm in Scotland by the way!

This - really lovely - they had lots st our local one and they were selling well

Also bought a mini potted one with roots from Tesco to go outside for £12:50 on clubcatd offers (we're £25)

Marsaala · 02/12/2024 12:13

6ft-7ft Nordman xmas tree is £60.

Isitfridayyetsophie · 02/12/2024 12:14

We’re in London, our tree is about 10 foot ish, touch under I think, and cost £105 which I thought wasn’t too bad!

Lifeglowup · 02/12/2024 12:16

£45 with delivery

onwardandupwards · 02/12/2024 12:21

£65 from local farm, wiltshire area but that includes free entrance to the farm for the day for up to 4 people and up to 4 free hot chocolates.

Fluffyc1ouds · 02/12/2024 12:35

We pay £50 for a 6ft Nordman Fir or £35 for a 6ft Norway Spruce. I really can't decide which type to go for this year! We go to a farm where you find your tree and they cut it down there and then.

TheFlis · 02/12/2024 12:41

I’m not completely sure as we paid for a couple of other bits at the same time but our tree is 7ft and it must have been about £45 I think, garden centre in Herts.

When I lived in London we always got our trees from B&Q as the prices at grocers and pop up tree places were ridiculous.

SJM1988 · 02/12/2024 12:44

6ft Nordman Fir is £61 in the midlands
From a farm, picked while it is still roots (back in Oct) and cut down for us to collect when we wanted (yesterday)

caringcarer · 02/12/2024 12:46

I paid £77 for one with a lovely shape between 8 and 9 foot. I usually have 6-7 foot but I preferred the shape of this one.

Bitchillywillytoday · 02/12/2024 12:59

Got a great thick bushy Nordman Fir from B&Q for £40, after looking at a garden centre they wanted £80....

Guy in B&Q was very helpful opening many up (they had just had a delivery) it up looking and smelling wonderful.

IBlameTheDog · 02/12/2024 13:01

I prefer the old fashioned Norway Spruce - reminds me of my childhood.

7ft one cost £39. West Yorkshire
