Please help me find this toy!!

So my son has lost his most treasured soft toy. It was a black cat, about 30cm long. Crucially it had some sort of beans inside. Made almost of fleecy material not fluffy fake fur. Pink ears.

I’ve searched and searched but can’t find anything with the beads inside. Anyone have any ideas? Desperately looking for a replacement for Christmas.

Annoying I just don’t seem to have any good photos with it in. Not that I can find, anyway.

Where did it come originally? I'm assuming you didn't buy it somewhere obvious but any clues? Any tags that indicated a brand even if no logo?

A lot like that but it wasn’t fluffy. I can’t really describe it but it was like thick fleece almost.

If it isn't a beanie baby type plush which I don't think it will be if it's 30cm ish I'm wondering if it is a warmies/hotties type that you can warm up in the microwave

Can you give us more info - did it have hard glass eyes or embroderied eyes?
does it have a tail? all black or not? Does it have whiskers - if so soft or plasticy hard?

I'm guessing you can't ask whomever bought the gift?

I just wanted to say that we've had to buy several pink bunny jelly cats over the years, and the material they are made of, goes from a soft light plush/fluffy material to a more matted, not fluffy material over time (and especially after a wash)

It might be helpful to know that, as you may look at the same item, but it looks so different new to what they end up looking like!

@Retrogamer I've looked at that one a lot but I can’t see if it’s bean filled. That’s the tricky part I think. Making it feel right.

@greenmelon definitely similar but didn’t have the white paws. The eBay one is really really close, but just doesn’t seem to have the beans in.

You can always unstitch a seam a little, empty and refill with beans if that's the sole issue?

i think it was a bearington brand cat, the website talks about filling with beans and it looks a similar material, can’t see black on the website though but may be some elsewhere

The bearington one seems exactly right!! Only ‘catty’ was total black apart from the inner ears. Going to search and see if it’s an older model.
