Thanks @IlovePond for the title.

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

@Enterthedragonqueen I can send a referral link that would get you £10 off? Not sure how much they are, you might be able to find a discount code to get a better discount.

@GoodIsGoodEnough oh yes please thank you so much. £10 off is still a decent amount & will cancel the postage price. I might be able to use it with a random discount code as well.

M&S have 15% off flowers and plants, and a further 14% off for existing customers (28% for new) with Top cash back so this cute little gift cost £21.93 delivered ... thought I'd share as it might be good for others too...

Would anyone recommend any of the instant print cameras for kids on currently on offer on Amazon?

Also 3D pens, there has been mention of both a few threads back with some good suggestions as to different types but cannot seem to find it again.

If she’s a keen felter, chances are she already has all the kit. This site has lovely wool. They have Woolly Wednesday, where there are extra offers.

https://www.worldofwool.co.uk/products/the-phoenix-collection-bundle

That’s an example, but there are lots of lovely other colours and fibres too.

I agree dd is a keen felter and would really appreciate wool as she has all the kit she needs.

GoodIsGoodEnough · 21/11/2024 07:14

If you message me I can send you the link. If you follow it and join you'll get free postage too!

That was for @Enterthedragonqueen

For anyone who fancied a mini printer for photos, the Kodak Mini 2 Retro that I had been watching has gone into Black Friday at a very good price: £72.24 for the printer plus 60 sheets of photo paper, (essentially matching the cheapest it's ever been) and the refills are good value (60 for £17.99):

@rhubarbhandsoap thank you, love it has a handy little folding spoon!

Timetochangenow · 21/11/2024 07:21

@ItWasTheBestOfTimes any chance you are near Putney? They had Uma in stock in their independent toy shop.

ItWasTheBestOfTimes · 21/11/2024 07:30

@Timetochangenow thanks but I’m in the North-West. It’s the Red doll she wants. It looks like it’s in stock in Smyths Rotherham and Leeds but I can’t drive. Smyths stock checker says stock expected soon so I’m going to keep checking but if anyone sees anything please give me a shout.

I thought I’d already purchased this from Amazon.com annoyingly as my daughter had seen a Red closet with different outfits for the dolls which didn’t look to be sold in the UK. I realised when I opened this it doesn’t come with the doll and now of course I’m finding it hard to get the doll at all.

Ariana Grande cracker back down to £14 amzn.eu/d/0BmJtxm

Timetochangenow · 21/11/2024 07:33

@ItWasTheBestOfTimes do keep checking Smyth’s that’s where I got red from. My daughter doesn’t know they exist so I can’t wait for her to see her. Hopefully Amazon will do an early delivery, they’ve been better than expected on the pre order type things for me. I’ll keep everything crossed for you!

ill pm you where I live and if it comes in stock I can get it and post to you?

@BlueDitty1 i bought this one almost exactly a year ago for my daughter, it’s still a hit and is cheaper now than when I bought it!

I would recommend getting some extra colour filaments to go in, we have these, not sure how good value they are but it was nice to give them together and they’ve worked well

Thanks for that, it’s going in the toy donation box.

FernArable · 21/11/2024 07:47

Marks and Spencer have 2 for £16 on their kids pajamas including lots of very cute Christmas styles that are still in stock. They also have 20% off kidswear for sparks users which counts towards this offer. So I just got two pairs of pajamas for £12.80 that are normally £12 each.

ItWasTheBestOfTimes · 21/11/2024 07:47

@Timetochangenow thanks that’s so kind but so think I’m sorted now.

For anyone else struggling to find a red doll I’ve just found a Disney red reveal doll from tradeinn, £35 delivered. It does seem to be an official Disney doll but has a different outfit and hairstyle, looks like they’ve marketed these in other countries than the UK. They are also selling it on AJ Toys for £45.

Timetochangenow · 21/11/2024 07:48

@ItWasTheBestOfTimes so happy you found one!
