Stocking fillers from supermarkets

I've started adding items to my weekly online shop for various stockings I make up. Wondered if anyone else had ideas for small and interesting food items. I'll share my list first:
Quick Milk Magic Sipper Milkshake Straws
Bubble tea sachets
Dr Oetker Pud in mug sachet
Chocolate coins

Resurrecting my old thread from last year as I start to add sticking fillers to my online supermarket shop each week going onwards...

Already bought packets of blue tack and tipex mice when they were on offer from the back to school stuff

On my list so far:
Mug cake mixes
hot chocolate sachets
Mini soft drinks that are used for mixers
Rubber bands
Spot patches
bubble tea sachets

Will love to hear all your ideas...

I saw ALDI had packs of silk scrunchies in their middle aisle fir £4.99 I dont have daughters but i thought they would be a great stocking filler.

I love TKMaxx for treat foods / unusual Korean stuff! The noodle bowls, pistachio cream and my daughter loves matcha so I pick that up too.

Packs of dried apricots/dried mango
Ditto various nuts
One thing I used put in a DD’s stocking was a tin of black cherries, to scoff all by herself.

Most supermarkets will have discounted paperbacks

Great idea for a thread! Nobody's mentioned an orange for the toe of the stocking!

That goes without saying, doesn’t it? Usually a satsuma in this house, though.

posh jam (e.g. with booze or a more exotic fruit)
fruit steeped in alcohol
mezze bits (olives, tapanade etc)
spice mixes or supplies for a type of cuisine we don't eat so often (asian bits are always a big hit with DH)
'posher' pot/instant noodle alternatives
'graze' style snack pots (lidl often good for single serve packs
american sweets
cocktail tins or alcohol miniatures
unusual bean flavours
hot sauce

Been buying lots of Matcha stuff. Found some Matcha Nespresso Compatible Capsules on offer for £3.70 from Waitrose that will be for my dad.

Also Waitrose had some boxed Hot Chocolate Coins on offer that look nice.

Also I'm on the lookout for a tin of lycees for my teen. Has anyone come across any recently in a supermarket. They seem to have disappeared from the shelves.... Thanks

Unusal pot noodle type snacks from the Asian foods aisle.

MILLYmo0se · 29/11/2025 11:48

From Tesco for teen DD, garlic Aromat, think there's a chilli one too. Am looking out for Bored of Lunch's airfyer spice mixes, they are on Amazon but I think in some supermarkets too

Snorlaxo · 29/11/2025 11:59

Morrisons have some small Lego style kits 3 for £5 that are Christmas themed and would keep young kids (and adults) at the dinner table longer.

I buy my kids a lottery scratch card for Christmas which they like.

I’ve just checked the Sainsbury’s app and they have Summer Pride lychees in light syrup if that’s any good 😊

One year, I did a hot chocolate 'kit' from Mrs Claus with hot chocolate, marshmallows and squirty cream and flakes. I have to do it every year now - I didn't bother one year and they were outraged! (One of them is nearly an adult!!)

I do a hot chocolate station every Xmas with velvetizer, squirty cream, mini marshmallows, chocolate sprinkles and powder dust. Also chocolate sachets in different flavours like mint and orange. Nice after a walk to look at people's Xmas lights.

Moonlightfrog · 30/11/2025 22:00

Lidl had mini bottles of booze (3 or 4 in a pack), including Malibu, spiced rum etc..

Pop tarts (Iceland), Christmas is the only time I allow them in my house.
mini Pringle pots
Giant kinder eggs and Giant baby bel (Lidl and Morrisons)
peanut butter or a jar of Nutella….or pistachio spread?
candy kittens
Percy pig
Cheatos
Lays crisp (occasionally find them in supermarkets).
Florentines
