Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. Does anyone know how much the quality street tins are in John Lewis? I’ve got the reward to fill up a new or old tin, just trying to decide if it’s worth buying one.

I would definitely wait for Black Friday. I got one on a random day about 6 weeks ago when someone posted about it on here, then again on Prime Day. Can't imagine it won't be reduced again!

Its about £14 / £15 if you take your own tin.

Do you know how much it is to just buy the (empty) tin though? The reward says I can fill a tin, but I need to have a tin I guess? I don’t care enough to spend £17
but if the tin alone is say £4 that would be worthwhile

Regarding the White Fox hoodies, do bear in mind that they are supposed to be worn baggy/oversized.
But for anyone who ended up with one way too big, definitely pop it on Vinted, then also look on there for a replacement in a smaller size, because you can guarantee plenty of people will be in the same situation

My refurbished Dyson has arrived and the packaging is torn and dirty - I'm so disappointed. It is a present for DD but the Dyson box is grubby

Thanks for the giggles. I needed one today. I just finished work and was catching up on this thread. Made me spit out my water. I have just spent a fortune on a trip to the Christmas stuff at Blenheim Palace as I will need something to get into the Christmas spirit so not barginous at all,
