Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. Any recommendations for ski gloves or something similar? Trying to think of something for a fussy 20 yo boy who has everything but is going on his first ski holiday next year.

Ah me too, was it smyths is was £39.99? So annoyed with myself I didn’t just buy it!

I did the same with the Frozen singing dolls. I put it on here. Went back to go and buy it about an hour later and they had gone out of stock/ increased in price. So annoyed at myself!

Amazon have some good value ski goggles which are great for a 1st ski holiday. We’ve had these and have been good

I see them being sold on vinted all the time. When they are new with tags they fetch almost the tag price. Worth thinking about if you got it with any sort of % off.

Alternatively, maybe someone on here would buy it from you. I'd be interested myself if it was one of the bright green ones.

@Scoleah one of the game settings prevents you having a winning streak. I think it's called turbo mode. With each question the timer gets shorter so you do eventually lose and play moves onto next person

Does anyone have any recommendations for the wifi photo frames please - a bargain would be even better
