Thanks @Travelcrazy for the title. It really tickled me!

Greetings and welcome one and all to a friendly and joyful corner of mn - the Christmas bargain thread. Here, we share Christmas present purchases, ideas, links and discount codes, with the aim to spread the Christmas magic and joy and reduce the financial stress.

It's a very busy thread, so see the tips below for helping everything run smoothly and avoiding repetitions of Cookiegate etc al. It's a lovely, friendly bunch and I'm so grateful to each and every one of you for building such a warm, fuzzy and generous spot on mn. I know I've save so much over the years and am so grateful to all of you for sharing.

Pull up a sleigh and relax with a mulled wine and mince pie, for Christmas has nearly arrived!

@ me if you need anything or you want to let me know anything - the thread moves so fast I can't always keep up so this really helps

A few pointers to make everyone’s life easier and the thread be as useful as possible:

  • It’s handy to put in bold the bargains so they’re easy to spot
  • No affiliate links
  • No need to place mark or post messages of hello or thanks at the start of a new thread - use the ‘watch thread’ button
  • Be nice or leave

The current referral thread for sharing referral codes https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/4940918-4940918-bargain-referrals-thread-6 . Please use this rather than this page to share referral links to make the sharing fair.

To make clicks links, you set it up like this only without any spaces apart from between the website and the word(s) you’re writing: www.bargainsahoyeveryonecomehere.co.uk

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior for the instructions below.
To make something bold, put this star * either side of the word you want to bold (with no spaces in between)

So starhellostar would look like this.

hello

Obviously use the * not the word star

Some of the below is copied and pasted from previous years, so do @ me if the links don't work

@onedayatatime73 they go half price tomorrow 😊

Amazing. How do you know? x

Lolandwoody · 06/11/2024 18:03

Oodie sold out already!

daisyboo1 · 06/11/2024 18:04

Thanks @OatFlatWhiteForMePlease never thought to try that!

IdentityCrisis101 · 06/11/2024 18:05

I got an oodie!! I can't believe it, I've tried for the past few years!

Well done! My click now didn't come up for ages.

Wigglewoowoo · 06/11/2024 18:06

The oodie page kept showing 404 then it was in my basket and I was waiting to checkout and gone all gone. Oh well.

Thelifeofawife · 06/11/2024 18:07

@Lolandwoody The website was ridiculous! I added to my basket and checked out immediately as I had other items in there waiting, within seconds of adding me in the queue it said sold out, so I abandoned my whole basket. They must have had just a handful on the deal. For my other items I may as well get them from the eBay store now

DeathStarCanteenGal · 06/11/2024 18:07

not a place I'd usually look at for kitchen appliances, but IWOOT have got £100 quid off this air fryer

Mine didn't come up straight away either. It really is just luck isnt it!

Thelifeofawife · 06/11/2024 18:09

@IdentityCrisis101 well done, good to know someone got one, otherwise I’d be wondering how legitimate it was. I still think they had very limited numbers on the offer to sell out in a few seconds

Less than 3000 according to their website.

imnottoofussed · 06/11/2024 18:13

I got to the payment page and then when I entered my details it said sold out.

Oh well maybe next year 😂

Wasn’t it! I did exactly the same as you did!

Well done! Great to know a real person got one! 😂

YeahWellWhyNot · 06/11/2024 18:25

I'm sure I saw somewhere someone said that there were only 50 oodies actually available for the UK. There were a set number around the world or something.

PumpkinSpicedTea · 06/11/2024 18:25

Smyths.
Sorry if already been asked but I can't see it. Are there any Smyths codes about or any way to get money off? It's something in a sale any way just any extra £ off would be really helpful.

IlovePond · 06/11/2024 18:30

@daisyboo1 - I had a £10 ‘skincare’ no minimum spend reward from JL - I used it last week in store for a £10 shower gel from Rituals - I do like a freebie!

dramalamma · 06/11/2024 18:30

Does anyone need an Argos code £10 of £60? Ive just realised i have one expiring at midnight.

hugsandpugs · 06/11/2024 18:30

Jd sports 20% off some already reduced items with the code EXTRA20

I managed to get DS a Nike jumper for £16 after discount and then paid via jam donut gift card so had £1.54 back in cash back too ☺️

@dramalamma I would love your Argos code please, I'm spending over £200, thanks so much for offering it.

GreatFinch · 06/11/2024 18:43

For Argos codes, if you scroll down to the bottom of the home page you just pop your email in and they send you £10 off £60. Took about 5mins to come through earlier.

dramalamma · 06/11/2024 18:46

Will pm you @LowCarb4Me

PlanBea · 06/11/2024 18:46

@redjoker would you recommend your rechargeable hot water bottle? I use a hot water bottle every night and fill it from a boiled kettle and am a little worried it might pop! I usually half fill it so it still is quite flexible rather than a rigid hot water bottle shape if you know what I mean?

LowCarb4Me · 06/11/2024 18:54

dramalamma · 06/11/2024 18:46

Thank you so much for the code, I couldn't get the PM to work.🎄

Pombear2 · 06/11/2024 18:55

Here’s a Lakeland code for the person who was asking. Sorry haven’t posted before so hopefully have done this correctly.

edit - I’ve just seen it says in store. Maybe they will accept the code but sorry!
